Jesus ! Why are you replacing the arms mate ? I thought (I hope) that just the bushes can be replaced ???

Look forward to the pics of you stripping this down, make sure you do loads of pics lol planning to do this my self one day

You can polybush and others have done so, but the genuine arms have rose joints and spherical bearings I believe which are far better quality and ensure ride comfort. It all comes down to cost as Steve will no doubt testify to!

Nice one buddy

Cheers dude, seeing you getting it done was the kick I needed to get it addressed myself

Some awesome pics Steve ... WOW :)

Thanks Luc  Sammy sure knows what he's doing with a camera!

Yeah as Sheefa said mate you can replace most of the bushes with aftermarket but nothing comes close to OEM replacements from what I hear. Eye watering expense but hopefully means I'll have a like new underside that I won't have to worry about again for a while :)

Camera will be at the ready!

Wowzers, looks like you've got a much longer list than me mate :D Maybe that's just all the individual bolts mind you. I just went to Whifbitz and got their Bolt Kits which is probably more in the long run but prevents me from making any daft mistakes with ordering stuff. Here's the list of stuff I got. Import Car Parts were kind enough to do me a 5% off deal with the amount I ordered.

love it mate, that's a lot of parts for the rear, I done this to my silvia a few years back and ended up buying adjustable arms as it was cheaper and they gave me the option to run an aggressive alignment setup on the car. sticks to the road perfectly.

Thanks mate, the joys of running 20 year old cars :D Was hard to spend the money here instead of an engine rebuild and more boost. Engine in the Silvia yet?

Heard it's the best money you can spend on a Supra if it needs done and mine definitely needs it seen to. Most of it is seized solid.

Update time at long last :D

I picked up an OS Giken Super Lock diff and some Titan ARB's from Callaway Motorsports in the Black Friday sales. That pretty much completes my collection of underside parts.

The car has been dropped off to James at Performance@Hart to have the entire underside restored whilst also fitting the parts I have gathered. Process starts with stripping away all of the old underseal and straightening out the sills, any rust is then treated and dealt with before spraying the car with Zinc primer and U-Pol Raptor to seal everything up. Can't wait to see what the car will look like once James has worked his magic!

Some more pics came through from Performance@Hart. Things are starting to build back up from the ground now. My selector bushings had gone so have got some solid replacements on the way from Whifbitz. A good spot from James.

Another nice Na-T, clean looks and nice CCW's.

Looks a good job on the underside, getting it done before it progresses.

Thank you mate. Definitely happy I got things sorted now as it was reaching the point of no return unfortunately. The rear end was completely seized solid as well. This hopefully gets me another 25+ years before having to worry about it again

Looking good underneath now Steven, looks better than new

Sure is dude, car should feel a lot better too once it's back

I've been meaning to update this for a while now so here goes.

Picked the car up from James (littlenum) at Performance@Hart in April and was blown away at the quality of the work he'd carried out. Highly recommend him for anything Supra related really as he fixed a few niggles that we encountered along the way as well. Here's some pictures that I took upon collection:

So now it was time to enjoy the car! Or so I thought...

Headed up to Crail for the first car show of the year. 2 hours into the 3 hour journey and this happened.

attachment.php?attachmentid=227386&stc=1&d=1527578423

Long story short, I thought my alternator had died and this was as far as I got before the battery ran out of juice and killed the car. I managed to get recovered to the show where I managed to pick up another alternator and swapped it out. It didn't really solve the problem but after replacing a fuse for the dials which had died, the car seemed to perk up and behave again. So I managed to limp it home without blowing the fuse again which I had to up by 5A.

attachment.php?attachmentid=227392&stc=1&d=1527578533

After pulling the dash apart I found this behind the dials:

attachment.php?attachmentid=227387&stc=1&d=1527578423

I'd managed to burn through the positive feed to the dials which coincidentally, also feeds the alternator and charging system. So the break in this wire had simply disconnected my alternator from charging the car. At least now I have a spare alternator :D

Some soldering later and the dials were tidied up a bit.

The car was back to running sweet again and just in time. The following week was DRAGONBAAALLL! Time for prep:

Set off and after about 40 miles:

Broke down again!! So after getting recovered (again) back to the house, we switched cars and played the support car role in my trusty daily Seat Leon #team1stopstrategy

And that pretty much brings things up to date. The money I saved on Dragonball (a lot!) will go towards getting this new problem sorted which I'm pretty sure is related to loss of spark. I'll carry out some basic checks myself to see if I can trace it. I reckon it's either the dizzy itself, the igniter or unfortunately the ECU as everything else on the ignition system was brand new at the time of going NA-T.

It's booked in to have some engine work done and a remap anyway so if I can't solve the issue in the next week or so, I'll have to get it sorted by the garage when it goes in :)

Dude whatever happened to the problem.

I'm just being nosey and saw you had a s300 series turbo. S360.

I don't know anything about the BW series turbos.

Which set up would you advise from experience with your turbo so far.

It ended up being the coil mate. £30 part in the end but I went and got the car remapped as well. Now I’ve got a cold start issue and a misfire that I’m chasing :(

The S360 has been pretty good for me even at baby boost of 11/12psi. Spools quite quick on the log manifold and pulls strong, would’ve like to get a twin scroll though!

BW turbos seem to be pretty robust and good value for money from my experience. Sound pretty awesome on full chat too

Are you still NA-T? Planning a big power build?
