Any my apologies for making this all a little last minute! I thought you all had the details and were happily booking up the hotels.

So, who's in?

Last year was an amazing drive, the routes are stunning and I have tweaked out the roadblock in the tiny Welsh village that held us up for 20 minutes.

My father in law has been taken in to hospital and has been given days to live. We came back early from our holiday as we were not sure he would make it to tomorrow.

what that means is that I have to drop out of dragoncol this year as I will need to be with Karen and her father.

Littlenum has offered to keep you all to the right timings and I will need to ask you all to just run to the routes as I don’t have anybody to lead the convoy as my usual suspects cannot make it.

Sorry to mess everybody around. Was looking forward to this one.

TomTom GPX files (New model TomTom GO's)

On your PC Download the zip file and unpack it. There will be 5 files in there, each between 51kb and 310kb. Again still on your PC, log into TomTom MyDrive with your TomTom account https://mydrive.tomtom.com. Then on the left of the screen go to 'MY ROUTES', you will then see an option at the bottom of that panel to 'IMPORT A GPX FILE'. Import each of the DragonCol routes until all 5 routes are showing. You may need to rename each route after you import it, but this is easily done by copying and pasting the name from each of the files you unpacked earlier.

Turn on your satnav and log into your Tomtom account, you will find this under the 'TomTom Services' icon. Connect your TomTom via smartphone Bluetooth tether or to your PC via USB. Once connected it will sync with 'My Drive' and the routes will start to appear in 'My Routes'.

Then, once on DragonCol, at the start of each stage after we've had a rest stop, you load up the next route file, let it plan the route and off you go.

Thanks for these - will give it a go. I don't have a TomTom, but apparently, Google Maps can read GPX file, so I'll give that a go, if .not, then I'll just use the links provided. I like to test these things 😅.

A few people for the eurotrips we do just download the TomTom app, it's free for 30 days, and I can confirm that it works with the custom forced routes.

I really enjoyed yesterday and it was great to see all who could make it! Thanks to everyone who was involved in the planning and execution 👍🏾👍🏾

I had to head off in the end as tiredness was starting to catch up with me. Made it home by 20:00 after a detour for some (more) fuel and dinner. Pictures and a video will pop up in due course.
