Hi guys more updates! Got to get a move on to with Dragonball around the corner… :D

Like most the dash had started to peel of and look a bit messy so I decided to paint it. Not to bright just a subtle dark colour.

Bit dark I know, using thinners to take of the rubber coating

All off..

All the panels stripped

And some colour!

Great work so far dude, really great to not only see the car being saved but that you are running this thread whilst you do it : D

Is a real good read! Awesome job on recovering the seats from beneath 'the fur'!! Lool. Could look to getting some of that 'leather food' I think its called to get some of the 'goodness' back into the leather? Just an idea, might not need it as looked to have come up very well after your hard work cleaning :)

Hi guys update time!

Gets a bit more interesting from now in :D

Quick fab up of things to come…

image

image

I am using a Holset HX52 Turbo, billet blades, 16CM housing, journal bearing.

Making the downpipe, starting at 4inch and reducing to 3 inch, all stainless

image

image

Flexi at the bottom where it joins the undercar section.

image

image

Test fitting external wastegate

image

made my screamer pipe

image

I decided to make a turbo stay to hold the weight of the turbo as its damm heavy! Used the stock twins bracket

image

image

image

image

Used the NA heater pipe

image

Just as a warning! Don’t buy the compesit gaskets that are avalible! The port holes are too big!

image

image

The manifold had some rough casting so I used a die grinder to remove it

image

image

image

The turbo also has a devided housing but my manifold is not so I cleaned up the sharp edges
