Not really got a lot I can do at the moment as I'm waiting on shims to finalize the cams so I decided to turn my attention to the suspension. The suspension topmounts were sticking out like a sore thumb so I decided to paint them.

I'm actually pretty glad I took them off the car, they were starting to corrode already. So much for the nickel coating blah blah protection stuff lol.

I'm liking that :)

I'm really happy with how they have came out. Just waiting on the collars to dry and then I'll be able to re-assemble :D

It was actually a daunting process, if they came out crap they would be on show constantly. Hopefully it'll last :)

Stole a couple of hours to get some things finished off...

I bought a stubby kit hub from JP. It really looked the part but unfortunately with the Supra, fitting it means you lose the horn (ooeerr). I didn't fancy that so I decided to fashion my own brush contact. Took a little bit of messing around but I'm pretty happy with the end result. I also fitted one of the ebay short quick release hubs, absolutely cracking bit of kit. Took a little bit of fettling due to me using 2 short kits but other than that it went on great. Feels absolutely rock solid when the wheel is on so I'm over the moon.

You can see the edge of the contact I made here...

I then finished off my coilovers, look pretty good if I don't say so myself. 2 down, 2 to go :)

Everything is down to slow motion at the moment. Waiting on Mr T delivering the linchpin shims :D

I loved the wheel I got but the one thing I could never live with was the strange, stick out like a sore thumb, yellow bit. Anyway, got a hold of some dye and went to town. Only done one coat so far, I'll get some more on it when it dries :)

Looking good..

The yellow was a bit of an eyesore..

I really didn't get it. Why on earth would you design a wheel to have red stitching with a yellow centre marker? I was between going black and going red, decided I would stick with the marker to see how it goes. Easy enough to change anyway :)

Going well still I see!

Sorry if I've missed a post anywhere, have you thought about coming into the group buy on the S6? A good saving that's not going to come up often...

BTW chap PM me if there are any bigger parts you're getting from Mr T, my local is giving me a very good rate at the moment (for instance I got UK 4-pot calipers less than £150 each).

I can't bud, I've spent all the money I have at the moment unfortunately. I've actually got parts on hold till the end of the month for when I get paid so I'm actually into minus figures at the moment lol. I'm looking to buy the ECU around Christmastime unfortunately :(

Cheers for the heads up on your Toyota dealer. I think I've got everything I need now but if I do come across anything I'll definitely give you a shout.

Cheers :)
