  1. I notice that you have water injection, that will have a lot to do with the cleanliness of the combustion area, how was your pump standing up to the under bonnet temps?
  2. My J spec has them:) very useful! switch is to the right of the ing switch.
  3. Sorry to hear about this mate, makes my blood boil:flame: if a few were caught and given the beating they deserve, it might make others think twice about it! but then again probably not:( a friend of mine actually said when discussing some thing on TV that people should have to pass a basic intelligence/morality test before they could have kids! and she is a nurse! must admit i'm starting to see her point! mind you you would have to go out and cull quite a few first;)
  4. Going to give this one a miss as i will be going to Bolney next sat anyway, should definitely make the next one though.
  5. You shouldn't need to use the analog input for TPS as the E0-1 has a dedicated TPS input, so if you want to display it all you need to do is select it in the drop down menu in the display options.
  6. Yes i read that one thanks, but i'm trying to find out how much of a pain it is to replace the bearings, special tools etc.
  7. I have just noticed that my PSP is starting to make a slight tick noise when cold, so i'm pretty sure its the bearing on its way out! now i have searched and found that there is a service kit for it, dose anyone know the part no? and price? also has anyone changed the bearings? the main one looks like it could be a pita to remove? just what i need more expense:(
  8. Well my wife seems to like the Supra better than the S14, one she can't really hear the turbo spool up, just a wine so its different! two the ride is better, had coilovers on the S14 which even i found a little hard! and three the Supra doesn't feel as quick (yet!) the S14 was 335bhp and could be quite brutal;) trouble is you can stick my wife on the back of any bike and ride it like a loon and she loves it! put her in a fast car and she goes for the grab handles every time i accelerate and asks to slow down:(
  9. Done a search and found nothing, anyone know where the door chime box is? or a fuse you can pull? starting to get on my nerves now!
  10. I would imagine that the best place is straight out of the block where the std sensor is, but its near impossible to get at! so some people get the Lexus bolt which is already taped for a take off ,that holds the oil cooler assembly on, and the other option is to get a sandwich plate, which will allow you to fit an oil temp sensor as well! stupra, i presume that reading is bar? so 29psi hot and 130psi cold same as mine, but i now have a hot reading of 40-45psi and that's at 100c I am also interested in the temp readings on the 2JZ GTE i have only had a chance to check mine on short urban journeys and using a bit of boost the temp seems to be 100c which is 10c higher than my old s14 even when thrashed!
  11. Is this a really boring topic or something? or has nobody got pressure gauges fitted? oil temps might be interesting to! or has somebody done this before? couldn't turn up anything in my search!
  12. Pay attention 007! he did say the engine is turning over!
  13. Going to resurrect this one! in the hope of more replies.
  14. Sorry to old for all this new fangled metric stuff:p 130 psi= nearly 9 bar if that helps, as for oil i have used the same stuff in most of my engines including my 350 BHP S14, also had it analyzed after 3,000 mls and the results are very good.
  15. Well this hasn't got very far! my cold pressure is 130 psi on a Autogauge digital, electronic sender (don't know about hot pressure yet as it was just a test as i haven't got a gauge pod through yet!) but i let it warm up on idle and got 50 psi at about 70c, oil is Shell semi synth 10w 40.
  16. I have mine fitted in the sandwich plate, on my last car i welded a boss to the sump, but as the Supra sump is such a pita to get off, i have settled for this location.
  17. Shouldn't be a problem! a large Pacet fan or one or two from another car will do the job, you will need a thermo switch of some kind, or something like an HKS fan controller.
  18. I have done a search, but can't really find anything definitive, just interested in what peoples oil pressure is assuming you have a gauge fitted! be interesting to see, so what pressure, type of oil and type of gauge? hot or cold etc?
  19. " (32 with 5 years NCB & 3pts). Just rang Sky and they want £181 (£350 excess) but I must have a Thatcham Cat 2 or better immobiliser fitted." Can't get my head around this! they must have made a mistake! do you keep your car in a garage with 24h security? is it NA? any mods? I have 9yrs NCB no convictions/points a dam site older and not in a high risk zone, and they charge me £570 with minimal mods:(
  20. After a bit of research, on the Innovate forum i have found that in general most ECUs only look for a voltage from the NB lambda of 0.45V = 14.7 AFR =Stoic, and will only adjust the fuelling if the reading goes above or below (in closed loop) the ECU is not interested (or able to read all of the NB voltages!, as everything other than closed loop is controlled by the ROM map and is fixed, so calibrating the LM-1 output should be straight forward, so if you can measure the std NB lambda in idle and closed loop, you should be able to feed the correct signal.
  21. How much!! is that just third party?
  22. Thanks Ian, as for narrowband signal, i think the majority of o2 sensors are calibrated the same, and the LM-1 narrowband output has a factory default for that, but is also configurable to any output you chose.
