  1. I had this on an old Mondeo I used to own... bloody annoying isn't it... I was lucky enough to get away with a sqirt of WD 40 on the motor but I only kept the car for another couple of months after that. So I don't really know how long it will work for. I bet the motor's a pig to get to on a Supra.
  2. Where is it ?? I'm awaiting a barrage of pi*s taking like when Brad asked about spark plugs ! No offence Brad!
  3. A mini blowtorch can make the difference between a 5 minute job and a couple of hours with drilling and cursing:)
  4. This came up during the week - Try here:- http://supra.highspeedhostinggroup.net/public_html/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2742
  5. When I first fitted my boost controller to my car, after a couple of runs at full throtle, I lost power and had a load of black/gret smoke out of the exhaust when the hose for the boost gauge popped off. This also caused a very lumpy idle. Hopefully your's may be that easy. Although the blue smoke doesn't sound good
  6. A FCD will be required and from what I've heard, a UK car doesn't suffer the same overboosting problems as a J-spec. Go for it!
  7. More like a massive blockage, (or 2!). You have to see inside one of these things to appreciate how constipated the engine must feel! I'm beginning to think Chris is also into plastic surgery as all his customers end with the same Yours Another happy CW customer
  8. Try Mark Ayling. He has the electro-lumi style ones fitted.
  9. Typical Volvo driver ! No offence taken;)
  10. I don't go fast enough to get a speeding ticket:D
  11. As a matter of interest, you can also get EXACTLY the same kit with a shortened part number FP-006 labelled as a universal din tray. Saves having to order a Volvo part;) - Also helpful if you get a brain donor assistant at Halfrauds:D
  12. Mark??? Adam's the man carrying out the test. A man to be respected... He's running a Bel 550, Snooper S5 and a Morpheous Geodesey a, How many cigarette sockets can you get in one car? b, Sod being in that car when he goes past a radar... More beeps and flashing lights than an amusement arcade ! c, If he gets a speeding ticket now, he'll never live it down! d, I'd love to hear his reasoning if he gets stopped by PC Plod:D Early days yet but how's it going so far Adam?
  13. Havn't tried that yet. - I'll give that a go tomorrow. Someone on Supraforums has told me to reset the ecu. I would have thought disconnecting the battery would do the same thing but I'll try it anyway.
  14. There is a few degrees of adjustment on the actuator, I tried it at maximum, minimum and a few positions in between. I even got someone to move it while the engine was running... No good. The lights still flash. I'm guessing that something needs resetting, shorting a couple of pins somewhere or something...
  15. Can anyone tell me if there is something I need to do to reset my stock TC system. I had a TC butterfly removal kit on the car which I've just changed over to a normal one with butterfly. Problem is, I'm still getting all the warning lights flashing as if it wasn't there. I've tried disconnecting the battery but that didn't work. Is there a reset like the airbag reset or similar?
  16. Remove the baffle and we'll find out! Sorry, don't know what a Bullet exhaust is/was
  17. How many silencers has the system got? - One less might make it sound better!
  18. I can relate to being lazy, well, 50% lazy and 50% timeless. I asked Chris to do mine and I'm so glad I did. He did a very good job, found a fault I didn't know I had and had to replace one of the studs. Its well worth it:D Mmmm, more power:D
  19. It may need programming to tell it how long to run for - That's not much help though. I don't suppose you have a Clifford alarm fitted? - You can make one of the channels become a timer quite easily. Sorry, not much help am I
  20. Doh! Although my standard filter was only 6 months, 7,000 miles old and was still very clean...
  21. I'm running the stock box with a TRD filter. To me, it feels smoother than the standard filter but barely noticable, and only at lower rpm really.
  22. Adam, I'll give it too you at Elvington.
  23. You're the only one offering at the moment - Do you need them in the Bluebird
  24. Ooo, I would think so, but I'd like someone to test the new Snooper against the Bel as I wouldn't want to sell you a crap unit. I can also supply the Morpheous Geodesey (gps) if you're interested.
