  1. Well? Come on... How did it go? Or are you just trying to bed them in in one night?
  2. Nigel, Now I'm very interested to hear how you get on fitting the rear brakes... Martin, why did you have to post those pictures... Now I want some TRD pads!
  3. Follow the link http://supra.highspeedhostinggroup.net/public_html/vbb//showthread.php?s=&threadid=1379
  4. Very true. I installed my DSBC first I fitted the Vfcc the next day:D I got mine from Justin - Torque IC 01233 500384 - Give him a call.
  5. I recently fitted a Blitz DSBC and one of Pete Betts VFCD units and I was very impressed with ease of install, (Once Alex had shown me where the Turbo pipes went), and performance gain. Other things worth considering if you haven't got them already: UK brakes - Get in quick as theres an amazing deal going on at the moment RLTC - Help keep the car on the road & makes it fun to drive in the wet:D
  6. To be honest, I can't remember... 0.02 and 0.03 rings a bell but don't quote me on it... I remember that I tried every hole on the second disk and the variance was virtually non-existant. It took me about 2 - 2.5 hours, (ish) and I wasn't rushing. I did about 100 miles before really slamming them on... definate case of I'm looking forward to your opinion on the upgrade. Are you doing front's only or rears as well?
  7. Nigel, I've done this very recently. If you want to call me I'll tell you exactly. 01622 683044 Basically, just unbolt the caliper and brake hose, remove the old caliper and the disk should virtually fall off, (may need a little persuasion but mine didn't). Then undo the 4 small bolts holding the metal backplate, then using tinsnips or similar, cut a small section out and twist it over the hub. (It's never going back on). Lastly re-fit disk and check runout, (as described in lengthy descussion previously by Martin & Mycroft;) ). Refit caliper, pads rattleclips and shims. Bleed brakes, bed in for about 50-100 miles. Test by taking an unsuspecting passenger for a drive without a seatbelt and watch how much effort they need to use to prevent themselves from exiting via the windscreen!
  8. Keeps me in a job:D
  9. What tyres are you running and have you checked the pressures lately?
  10. AFAIK and IMHO etc, the J-spec only had an option for remote locking. Not an alarm. I thought any alarm on a j-spec was aftermarket... Waiting to be proven wrong...
  11. The offers there if you want it... I'm sure I can spare about 35p for the stamp, envelope and diodes togerther! And... you have mail...
  12. A 3 amp diode? - Probably cost you all of 20p if they''l sell them separatly. If you want, give me a call and I'll send you a couple. 01622 683044
  13. Commission... That's how Alex pay's for his insurance:D
  14. What, the one I cant get to install :( I'm sure that would work a treat! Don't s'pose you fancy uploading the page in question for me??? Pleeeeeeasssee
  15. Still couldn't get it off... It appears to be bolted to the chassis somewhere but I didn't have time to look properly. Any other suggestions
  16. I'll go and check it out... Let you know in a minute...
  17. Can ayone tell me where the hidden bolts/clips are on the rear bumper?? I've removed all the screw plugs from the top and under the lights, the 4 with the support rail from underneath and the 4 10 mm bolts in the top and bottom corners... It's all wobbly now but wont come off! Help required please!
  18. Another Alex coloured car!
  19. Errr... Who stole mine then?? It was there the last night ! Leaves big double black marks if I want it to And locks up every time you tickle the throttle on a junction.
  20. I had one go on a mk2 Escort RS2000 with no problems. Feel happier about the fact that my Supra belts overdue!!!
  21. Speaking of politically correct... Nice avatar Richard!
  22. I believe Toyota recommend 60,000 or every 5 years. Mines due now due the age thing... Only done 43,000 but never been changed. I know its already been mentioned, but... Martin, are you sure???
  23. My car is a 94 RZ. To get the lights to switch off automatically you need to be inside the car with the lights on, then switch off the ignition, (still with lights on), then open the door... The lights go out. I'd guess you either have a buzzer or auto switch off... But no t both
