  1. Good aren't they ! Only got mine a few weeks ago, and haven't used it that much due to bad weather, interior being in bits whilst stereo fitted etc (sorry Steve !) However, it's all back together and I too am casually looking out the window at it after driving it in this morning Have fun - I sure am ! All the best Matt
  2. Nope, defo not for me either. TBH, the flippy paint is not something I'm keen on anyway, but that is probably the worst example I've seen. All that glitters is not gold.......................
  3. I've done it to a few of my cars, old bangers too - and never had a problem. Matt
  4. I work on the 'if I don't know, then it can't be illegal' principle. I know the mpg is bad, so I just don't work it out For the same reason, I haven't weighed myself since my wedding day Matt
  5. Nur spec's on my Mkiv and Mr2 turbo - No wonder I can't get on any track days Wouldn't swap 'em Matt
  6. PLEASE tell me you mean big-ass pipe, and NOT big ass-pipe
  7. Both get my total approval - very nice Matt
  8. Now come on people, play nicely - not everyone can afford a real Turbo car - ONLY JOKING What a pile of sh........ I can't believe the price though, about $150 !!! In english money, thats FORTY BEER TOKENS I'd rather shout 'PISH' out the window everytime I changed gear Thankfully, HKS does it for me Matt
  9. Sounds pretty cool Is that on standard internals ? I know the engines are strong, but to go single without opening up the engine ? Cheers Matt
  10. If memory serves, don't all imported cars now have to conform to a 'Model Report' ? The Model Report being a full rundown of how the car was when it was manufactured, and therefore yes the car does have to be in standard form. I think it also means that if there is no model report for a specific car, then you can't get it SVA'd. I'm sure someone will let me know if I've got that wrong Matt
  11. Yeah that's why I said calling them may be an idea - especially at that price ! All the best Matt
  12. Have a nose at http://www.sapmotorparts.com, look to be about £55+vat+delivery per side. Can't hurt to give 'em a call if you're just after standard discs. Cheers Matt
  13. I know, boys and their toys eh ? Plus only one screw left over when I'd finished - result Bet you've made a start on the RS already All the best Matt
  14. Hi all, Picked up my Supe on Saturday morning, and I'm very pleased with it ! However, Sunday morning I thought I'd install my mobile hands free kit. The dash had to come out etc, and no problems really - all connected up, phone works, aircon works, dash works etc. But now the Airbag light stays on Have I knocked something behing the dash ? Bit of a bummer really, means the dash has got to be taken apart again, but what will I be looking for ? And whereabouts ? Cheers Matt.
  15. Hello mate, Do you have an induction kit ? Or replacement filter ? Just asking because I got a great quote from Admiral, but when phoning to arrange cover, they asked if I had an induction kit - I said yes, they said 'sorry, we can't insure cars with Induction Kits'. It's worth checking. Insurance companies will always offer you a brolly when it's not raining. They will happily take your money and insure you, but if you make a claim - they will do what they can to wriggle out of paying out !!! Hope it's ok for you tho Matt
  16. Cheers mate, just hope I can keep 'em both !!! There was an MR2 Turbo on Scoobynet a week or so ago, in average looking condition - TWO GRAND All the best with your decision Osso. Matt
  17. Hmmm, was thinking of selling mine once I pick up my Supra on Saturday - but maybe not ? An MR2 turbo as a second car is cheap to run, so maybe I'll keep it - they are great fun to drive, fappin' quick too ! To keep mine will cost : Insurance £370 (classic policy, mods declared, limited mileage but requires NO no claims bonus) Tax £165 MOT £40 (assuming no work needed, and TBH - it's a Toyota, nothing breaks in 3,000 miles use !!!) So, £575 a year to keep - £11 a week , and they can be bought ridiculously cheaply too. Think I'll be keeping mine (Just don't tell the missus !!!) Sorry to go a little off topic, but Albundy68's idea of having one 'on the side' could be a good idea, certainly worth looking at mate. Matt
  18. I saw this car in my search too, but was put off by the mileage. The mileage per se doesn't put me off, it's resale - high mileage DOES still put punters off ! Matt
  19. Agreed, don't think he approved of me laughing at him either ! For your info though, I'd been getting quotes of £900+ from Adrian Flux, Egg and others. But two numbers to keep are : Insure your motor 0870 770 7033, this is their 'specialist' department and quoted me £770. Then Osborne and Sons on 020 8388 6000 quoted me £670 - all mods declared. If I find cheaper , you guys will be the first to know But I suspect Osborne will be getting my business Matt
  20. Welcome bud, me be a newbie too - just fighting the urge to ask daft questions All the best Matt
  21. Hi all, Got an online quote with Admiral over the weekend, declared all mods and got a great price. Phoned today to take the policy out, and whilst checking it all through, the guy asked if it had an induction kit, I said yes - 'our underwriters will not insure vehicles with induction kits sir' !!! So let me get this right, I've declared a bodykit, wheels, ecu, exhaust, decat etc, and it's the induction kit they're getting bent out of shape about WTF is that all about !?! So my friends, avoid admiral Cheers Matt
  22. Nope, not seen it - but I'll keep 'em peeled. Matt
