Happily running 580bhp & 570lbft on the stock autobox (@ 1.6 bar), mapped to 1.8bar but turbo was iirc going past it's efficiency for the AR. There's been advances in how to map a single turbo with an autobox, Ryan's done a lot of work now and I believe has found what previously killed them. OP - Speak to Ryan about it, I can explain what he's done but better hearing from him And also I suppose you could throw on an SRD cooler kit and have an S6 monitor gearbox oil temps (perfect combo being eng oil temp, water oil temp, EGTs, AFRs and Gearbox) - any more you have to go up from the S6GP to an S8 iirc. P.S the cal tools on syvecs are pretty cool to look at! PPS - What are you looking for in a single turbo? Outright power? Best possible spool? I've probably got the quickest spooling stock block auto on the forum, check out the ECU Register in the tech section. 0-60 on WOT with Paul's twin WG manifold + screamers sounds.... awesome

YAW rate sensor gone wrong...anyone have a VAGCOM ;O)

But Chris, Syvecs runs CAN bus, also in fact so do many computer controlled robotic systems. I agree to a degree though, my friend who has a business fitting towbars for over 30 years says the Q7 and the like are horrific and there's no easy way to reuse the standard looms -

Good price for the 550s and rail - you selling the resistor pack with that? -
Ash, As per our conversation by PM, knowing that this wanted AD is off the tail end of a dispute you have with a club member I'd like to verify a few points. For the forum/nosey to know - Ash has contacted me via PM saying the person who's buying him the brakes is transferring the money on Friday to pay me for these - I'd like you both to hold your horses on that first, you haven't even seen these calipers. Why? Read on.. Detail - I have a pair of UK front calipers sat surplus to requirements, that came off my UK spec car where braking felt a little spongy, I at the same time left the CW Fast pads in them and swapped in new OEM calipers with OEM pads, Goodrich lines and also a flush and change of motel RBF600 and that cured my spongy braking. I can't rule out which cured the spongy feeling. I even put up a thread asking others for details to isolate my problem listed here :http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?253526-Soft-brake-feel-causes&highlight=caliper+refurb In light of this, I put the old calipers in storage to refurb them sometime and to have as spares or sell on. I haven't had a detailed look at the calipers and I left the pads, pins, shims, clips all in situ. I would say at the least they need the seals refurbed which you can buy from Toyota or OEM vendors or even CW (£33), they could need a piston (£20/each) or two refurbed if the dust seals have gone and any material has pitted any pistons. I cannot say to what amount of work they may need, they were *functional* when on my car and braked reasonably, but not as good as the brand new ones I replaced them with. They have also been painted in red caliper paint by the car's prior owner - I also believe that these calipers are the original ones from the car from new (L-Reg) I offered these to Ash at £100 excluding the pads, £120 inc the pads (less than 40% worn I estimated). No disks are provided. I am happy to get them out of storage on Saturday, take you some photos, take off the pads and take photos of the seals/piston areas too, I would rather you hold off getting payment off the chap you're in dispute with, as whilst these work, I do not recommend you would put these on the car straight away but refurb first. Right now I don't have the time to do this, hence why they're in storage in my lockup. If in the mean time, you find a better deal you're more tempted to go with (like DanDan's offer) please go ahead with that - I've probably offered you the cheapest pair of calipers so far, but they're cheap because I cannot definitively state right now what's needed to get them back up to near 100% performance. Sorry for the waffle, but I just wanted to be open and honest and make sure you know what you're getting from the start if you bought these off me. Simon

TBH I'd rather buy new caliper wise though, as otherwise you should/may budget for a seal refurb, if something's got behind the seal it's a piston refurb and before you knew it your cost saving delta has gone down even more and the time you then put into those activities the hourly rate of effort put in vs £ saved is... as RD would put it 'sub-optimal'
-
Bet your neighbours are going to love you Got an ETC on when you'll be terrorising the road with this?
-
IIRC I bought my UK calipers (just the calipers) brand new from Toyota
-
Maybe I should sell one of the two Ryan kindly gave me
-
I'll give you £50? Only joking... they are worth a fair bit, an example : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?262214-My-unused-TRD-Gauges-Tach-and-speedo-for-Pre-faclift&highlight=TRD+speedo

People should think of them as the smaller or larger set of brakes - the 1/2 pots came on NA and TT JDM, the 2/4 pot came as *standard* on UK and optional on N/A and TT JDM, some later models from Japan had them finally as standard (I believe). Ditto with LSD - my '94 NA had an LSD - there are many optional extras and you can find this in the model guide FAQ
-
You sure about that? Checked costs of new 1/2 pot calipers and the cost of sourcing some 2/4 pots used? I bet you'll be saving £10-20 ballpark!
-
Question then - How low is your car currently? Because the diffuser suddenly makes the rear just as low as your front and it's far less forgiving scraping than a bumper! Just considering, as Ryan had a devil of a job getting my car on the SRR because of it and I'm on BC Coilovers which have been raised 1 turn from their default! You have a ferry to deal with
-
I've got an old pair of UK Front calipers (from a UK car) but they've been painted red and require a refurb. Would come with a set of CW fast pads too with more than 50% left on them. Don't have any disks to go with it though. If interested I'll pull them out of storage and get you some pics.

Anyone else cooking a meal for their better half this Valentines?
caseys replied to SupraDan24's topic in Off Topic
Somehow I found a lady that likes steak and whiskey, so no, it is for both of us The bacon admittedly is just for me though. Mmmm bacon. -
Sold to that man there in the funny hat! Well still undecided if I want to keep mine on yet. Let us know when you're next coming over from the island and you can come have a look too at how one fits. Sure I can take some photos at the weekend. Well the thread has been up since August!

Found anywhere bargainous to get them from? Currently looks like £195 is the going rate.

Sure. Want some pics? 2nd class recorded if that's ok? Or available for collection from Warwick or Hursley if you're ever about there?

I could be wrong, it may not be a dispute. It may in fact be a discussion. About disputes about disputes.
