  1. Y'know I'm just waiting for you to post a thread up explaining the intricacies of brake bias and why it's not great to have more bias at the rear than the front Or a thread that explains why 4/2 pot spec brakes are sought after over 2/1 pot brakes. Here's me thinking it was just for the look... I'm trying to find why people are spending £400 for a pair of UK fronts tho, as I bought some new from Toyota for less than that!
  2. Is the dispute dispute thread now in dispute?
  3. £175? What's it made of? Kinder egg plastic and carbon wrapped? The replica Shine Auto diffuser one will cost you north of £550 I'm afraid to say.
  4. Going to a surgeon for a consult / MRI myself on the 18th, landed flat on my back and did what appears to be muscle damage which then caused sciatic nerve problems (numb shoulder / leg) Like you, I can't do everything I want at the gym now, I have the strength at times, but I just don't have the stamina and stamina training is quite hard to do. Also working on the obliques is damn near impossible I have also found physios differ in their methodology and approaches greatly. Some are std exercise based, my new one is trying to get me to do pilates and we've also tried acupuncture (which I'm skeptic about to be honest) and also sports massage has helped. Maybe worth trying massage or yes trying to go for an MRI to see if you've got any scar tissue from your injury and find out your options from there.
  5. Were you by any chance accosted by a heavily tattooed mechanic at Qwik-Fit the other week? A friend of mine who works there told me they had a lady come up with a TT
  6. Yep, but I can't even remember my username and haven't been on there for many a year. Well hope ownership treats you well - let us know if you're heading over this way at all.
  7. £120/each from Toyota!
  8. I'm guessing from your location and the cars, he owns Silverstone, or something motorsport related nearby?
  9. Welcome chap, where in Dorset are you? A few of us are round the Bournemouth/Christchurch area.
  10. This I would say is a best case scenario. Plan for the worst, rather than the best case imho.
  11. So to get this correct, you have £200/month to run a Supra? £20/month = Tax (£220ish/year) £150/month = Fuel @ £1.30/litre, 500 miles/month, 20mpg. £30/month = money left to cover servicing/unexpecteds/wear and tear things like tires....? I would say you'll be fine until you need to replace something due to wear and tear.
  12. They arrest people for spelling now to? (intentional..) P.S for the OP - Single turbo auto in the snow is not as much fun as an invigorating adrenaline filled experience. Even at 30mph.
  13. Classic - LWIB or sureterm direct non-classic A-Plan (thatcham branch), Bell, Elephant/Admiral or Sky
  14. http://www.acronymfinder.com/Military-and-Government/BGW.html Battlefield Guided Weapon?
  15. Update the register chap http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?129455-Supra-ECU-Register/page8 Interesting comparing against my graph on post 295, my torque on stock cams tails off more aggressively than yours. Love the sound the Syvecs TC makes? Well worth the cost of wiring it in (Ryan for the work I think you do that probably too cheap!)
  16. Just think of the intake temps I admit though after a remap, nigh on 600bhp on Falken 452 rears in this weather makes for an interesting experience. Back end stepped out on me at 40mph in 3rd... gotta love torque.
  17. This may be a stupid question - but what industry?
  18. Good luck in your endeavor imho Most days compared to even 10 years ago trainee IT jobs are extinct in this country, at least the ones worthwhile taking in the sectors worthwhile practicing them in. Most entry level/junior level jobs are farmed out off-shore nowadays akin to call-centre work. And as Plethora said, experience over qualifications. The graduates nowadays doing 'Business IT' degrees are... interesting! Probably better off looking for trainee/helpdesk work in IT at an SMB to get your foot in the door then try and move internally. What sort of database were they considering? DB2? CICS/Adabas? SQL/noSQL? Also what are you looking to get out of a career in IT? If it's not a passion/interest, you may not like the hours/politics that are probably in it and also some jobs are just dead-end career wise. I ask as I entered IT with no relevant IT certification (bar a-levels) and no experience and started as a trainee mainframe operator after numerous interviews and aptitude tests.
  19. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?186263-Divided-housing-turbo-manifold-questions&highlight=divided+manifold Have a read of this. A non divided twin wastegate manifold? Can you explain to me how you'll setup the wastegates on that puppy? Also this was a good discussion http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?249207-Divided-or-non-divided-turbo&highlight=undivided
  20. MAF with BOV? I'm with you on that. What happens if you've got the throttle on and suddenly take your foot off it? Do the revs dip then stall/recover sometimes?
  21. Vice versa (think of the airflow..). A divided manifold with non-divided housing is ok (but not ideal) whereas a divided housing on a non-divided manifold the partition will eventually get melted.
  22. Doesn't mean it's not faulty just because it's relatively new Battery could have a duff cell, wet cell batteries recharge over time. I was seeing an ignition on voltage of 11.7, which was fine, car started, noticed alternator wasn't holding voltage, 13.9.... 13.8.... 13.7.... 13.6... Parked up, tried to start again, started the cut out. Went to start again, 10.5 volts on the ignition on position, then cut as if immobiliser cut, then alarm went nuts. Then had nothing, not even the odo.
  23. Battery and checked how much juice your alternator is actually producing? I only say this as I had the exact same problem last week.
