  1. A stock Supra exhaust isn't exactly a rare item! Mine was just sat in my shed gathering cobwebs and spiders and someone on the club needed one as theirs had deteriorated so club spirit kicked in I've also seen people sell them for £20. I'd guess also the same for stock 16s/17s and other parts. It'd just be bits like the active spoiler or such that's costly - or does the inspector not worry about stock parts that aren't there anymore? I would imagine you won't find it troublesome to buy all the parts to revert any single'd UK-spec car, as every person who's gone single has to do something with them - then have the choice of selling the non-stock parts, or keeping them and rebuilding sometime in Norway (of course only for track use ) Well let us know how your hunt goes, as said, mine's a stock block including the valve-stem seals being redone and all pumps, seals etc.
  2. Still available, happy to work with buyers abroad looking for a UK car
  3. So what about cars without an engine swap? i.e. just ancillaries and turbo? I'm sure there are traders here that would do this for you, also the amount of stock parts - manifolds, turbos, stock parts which are available due to people here doing single conversions makes them quite plentiful / cheap. For instance I gave away my last stock exhaust! A conversion from my Single kit to stock TT I would think takes 2 days labour with Whifbitz. Have PM'd you about this in more detail.
  4. Stock auto box is fine for 600bhp ballpark if mapped with a syvecs. It's the torque at WoT unadjusted that would kill a stock box so my s6 was setup by Ryan to temporarily lower torque on shift then ramps straight back up. Check my dyno plot in the ecu register - Ryan said it was one of the nicest stock block autos he's mapped. Dont scrimp on the ecu, after coming from a setup running an EMB to an S6 the transformation was remarkable in how much more responsive in every way the car became.
  5. If you've got a £12k budget you could buy mine and get a 6spd put into it before it left the country. Just a thought
  6. You were indeed correct sir, they are Abflug Type 1 sideskirts on the car. Car getting a good clean over the weekend and will try and get some more photos up.
  7. I'm with Rob (figuratively), Panasonic compacts are very very good.
  8. Sounds like your disk is fubar. Never store anything you want to keep on a cheap ssd. Awful things. If you can afford to lose the data on it try doing a 7-pass format and see what it reports. Expect it to take a fair few minutes.
  9. Is that on a repair disk permissions? Try running a verify disk
  10. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1417?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US My advice would be to boot it to single user mode and run a fsck -y if you don't have any install media to boot off. Steps are about half way down on the link above On the ubuntu laptop did you try to write to the ssd? Some ssd fail into a read only state so it'll mount and read but you can't write to it
  11. Nope your startup disk could be corrupted or bad permissions. You can boot off any osx DVD that's firmware compatible with your laptop and run disk utility to check the disk and you can also do a hardware test
  12. Boot off your install DVD and run disk utility. Pm me if you need more advice

    Cat repellents

    very small landmines?
  14. It's the steering wheel I think that's the finishing touch. Nothing like a one spoke.
  15. I'm just impressed you joined the forum when you were 11? Hope you get a quote. Most places want you to be 25/30 for a classic / limited mileage policy like this.
  16. Not really no, this is the first item in the list I put in post 21. I have that kit bar a different turbo. You then need the rest of the bits in my list, and more. If you want a good idea of what's needed to go single and how many people have done it I would advice spending a few hours reading through the Project Cars subforum here http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/forumdisplay.php?147-Project-Cars Nice ones to read http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?236276-Gold-Rush http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?241651-My-Super-Widebody-Aero-VVTi-Turbo-6sp-project http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?238484-SRD-Ridox-Single-Turbo-Project-Build http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?238479-Johnny-HKS-Twin-Build-thread http://mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?237277-Scott-M-s-Supra-Build-Thread There are many others, but these'll give you an overview. A few are self built like Ibrar's and Scott's.
  17. On a budget it's under, but a reasonable/good setup extremely cutdown price Manifold + turbo kit - £4.5k Fuelling - £1k ECU & wiring £1800 Mapping - £500 Other bits (ignition, exhaust, downpipe/midpipe, hoses, fittings, contingency money) £1-2k Labour £2k+ Many have done it cheaper, many have done it a lil bit more expensive. It's not something to do on a whim!
  18. No problem chap. Well it's ovno, not offers over that price Either way good luck in your hunt. Take your time. Don't dismiss the auto without a ride or a drive in one. Glad to see from the skyline you're not afraid of having/running a modified motor! Stick around. This place is quite nice once you get used to it
  19. So it's at Whifbitz currently... tell him to have a word with Paul and see if a deal can be struck
  20. Well the benefits with the whifbitz one and your location you could go and get it fitted right there and good service off Mr W! I only had the HKS on an N/A, with cats still in. Your dad at BPU or without cats?
  21. I have had an HKS Silent Hi-Power and I agree the fitment was fantastic. Didn't drone at all I now have a whifbitz twin box system (on a single) and the quality is good
  22. Congratulations to you both - it's life changing stuff!
