  1. Yeah mate that road is crap, I know I did the commuter trek up it every day. Some of the ruts that lorries have left in it are just awfull. Could have hit a rut and tryed to steer out of it specially with small crappy wheels. Was surprised by the fact that the car veered heavily after it finally came out of the ruts and overcompensated then the rest you know. That or she was doing her makeup in the rear view (dont laff this happens). RE First aid. I honestly think that any citizen should have a basic first knowledge compulsoraly. All members of the forces have a basic foundation test of first aid annually which I now see as being a usefull tool. It improves your self confidence in a lot of situations and makes you look at things a little better (like WSB2's realisation of not just rushing in). I don't know what first aid courses cost in civvy street but I am positive that for a donation to charity any given military medical or tac med unit will do a course for people that are interested. I could speak to the guys at my last unit if anyones interested.
  2. £500 that doesn't surprise me it used to cost me £28 a go to drive the soop into work hence I had a diesel as a second car!!
  3. The squeeling sound from the brakes will be the wear indicators. Basically they are little bits of sprung steel that when the brake pads get close to limits they rub on the discs and make that squeeling noise.
  4. The timer doesn't actually start until you take off does it? So if you are going for a top speed run then why worry about racing the other driver. Just concentrate on your own drive and ignore the other car??? I'm guessing that cars tuned to this level don't bang up and down that strip all day so obviously getting each run right is what its all about.
  5. Difficult to tell with the car being black but I am thinking not aero. Its nice to have a motor with so little miles on it though. Its amazing how that happens.
  6. Its the 2 second headstart that he gives him that made me piss!! And the wheely that the soop pulled as it lifted off was awesome.
  7. Yeah but last one I heard of that was pushing stupid amounts of power like this one they had to turn it into a hardtop as it just couldn't take the strain.
  8. Bloomin eck!! Don't think a lot of his launch reactions though!! Can't believe its an aero as well!!
  9. One thing you expressed more than one interest in the aero variant. Well unless you replace the gearbox yourself you won't get a manual TT aero!! The amount of TT aero's is being slowly reduced (just ask Hisupe) so prices of these tend to be strong. As far as I am aware all the GZ models have leather as standard which is the spec of all aero TT's. UK motors generally have more history with them (thats generally cos they have done that many more miles lol) but good j-specs do come with history as well. Prices vary heavily as some people need to get rid of their cars quickly others love them so much they are unrealistic about their value. Also some other non specialist traders get them in that have no idea of the cars real value and following and can be picked up cheap. As far as security is concerned a decent immobiliser will stand you in good stead. I have a sat tracking setup on mine thats never been tested. The guys are right though most twats don't fook with your soop. Only evidence of vandalism is prior to me owning it. Shop about a bit and seriously my advice keep an eye on this board BradB sold his for a snip at 7.5k for a right nice motor.
  10. Hey that furry paint cost a fortune!!!!!
  11. Thats why you get alcantara centre sections!!!
  12. Hey that gets my vote!! Well the starting price is nothing in comparison to what I will have spent on the thing over the years I own it. Christ I think I have been through that much money in fuel lol!
  13. Shittin ell I was robbed when I bought my SZ aero then. I paid 11.5k for it 3 years ago on a 93 plate!! So either the car itself didn't depreciatte much in the 6 years before I bought it or someone with some serious Bins saw me coming from a long way off!!
  14. Is there a control box between the switchgear and the motor? Sounds a bit like chaffed wiring or a dry solder joint but don't quote me on that.
  15. Its swedish and they do they do the entire interior virtually but for the euro-model. Like you said do a search and you will find it
  16. The insurance hike isn't what you might think it would be. Tesco's quoted me an extra 165 quid a year when I asked them about the price increase to supercharge mine. All they were interested in was what the BHP increase would be on a percentage basis.
  17. I am assuming here that those pics are of the two sides of the car cut and pasted together or have you converted all four lights on each side???
  18. Does it come on at the same rate each time as well??
  19. Well as HISUPE went to so much trouble to provide me with an engine it would be a bit rude to turn him down!!!
  20. Of which 0% of them work as advertised on the box!! Or can we bodge 2 good ones out of the 4?
  21. Unfortunately it looks like I may go down the predictable route and just transplant a TT engine ash! But when jagmans supercharger is developed I may ask him if he can sort me some drawings for mine!!! lol
  22. And give them to me (no not yours ash lol)
  23. So my idea of fitting a supercharger for low end torque instead of more bhp isn't that good an idea?
