Nah the picture on the computer that the guy showed me was an exploded drawing and showed the parts all seperatley and had a number for the whole unit and then a load of numbers for all the components? The guy gave me a quote for the lenses and the whole thing. Now I am not saying that the guy was right just that he told me that. And that the whole unit was circa 200 quid.

Now I am confused Gordon is talking about one of the bits that secures the bumper, I am talking about the bit that tacks on the bottom of the front bumper, comes black as standard but a lot of peeps have sprayed theirs in colour code!!

£12 I was told that bit was £120 which I beleived as the TRD skirts are a grand for a bit of plastic LOL If they are only £12 I will buy a new one rather than repair the one thats been biffed on a kerb.

Be interested to know what is what here as the parts guy I spoke to said it was just the glass lol. As I said though there is a set on Ebay if you just need one refurb it and fit it at your leisure then refurb yours as best as ya can at your leisure and flog them on after.

In fact see this thread on lights Now he wouldn't be able to sell them at more than toyota prices would he? So I'm certain he has quoted you for just the glass lenses.

erm when I spoke to toyota in poole they quoted me around a 130 quid for just the glass and about 200 for the whole unit so it might be worth checking. Also there is a set of plastics on ebay at the mo if you want to try and renovate a set whilst keeping yours on the car?

Oh and try using plastic polish like greygates (the RAF use this on tornado jet transparancies so its good stuff). If you are going to use abrasive papers at least use micro-mesh which goes to 12,000 or more grit.

That £130 isn't from toyota is it? If it is thats just for the glass bit and not the rest of the unit which you will be needing if the silver is shagged on yours.

Wow that makes a huge difference!! I've always been a bit unsold on the rear spats but yeah cool upgrade!! Shame those bits are so bloody expensive or I would get mine done.

Better and cheaper still just steal a car drive with no tax MOT or insurance, mow people down left right and centre, have a blatant disregard for any driving law, and just generally be a twat and only get six months suspended sentence if and when they ever manage to catch you.

PS I have a couple of 20 litre jerry cans and spout if you want to borrow them, more fuel you mix the crap stuff with the better.
