  1. Firstly, the new site looks great. How do i change my avatar pic using this new site?
  2. Still interested in this, would love to see you driving it. Just want to gauge change speed etc, im assuming its as fast as moving the stick?
  3. Would you be willing to ship it to north wales?
  4. Just to keep this updated, i have just sold my facelift clock to a forum member. It was working, good condition with no broken fixings. £50.
  5. Well, i have one. I have seen them for sale for £75, if thats the going rate i will sell it for that. I personally dont think they are worth anywhere near that but dont want to step on anyones toes. If he offered what he thinks is a sensible price, id probably agree that price.
  6. What would you be willing to pay for one?
  7. Agricultural, basically ive heard americans describe the r154 gear change similar to a truck/tractor. I cant see it myself. Mike, i wasnt aware toyota would still stock r154 boxes? Ive seen them new on ebay but not reputable sellers especially for 1800quid! I think r154 is the box id like, price dependant. Take it w58 boxes arent available new?
  8. To manually convert my auto tt to manual, i know theres a load of options. I want the car to still drive as close to oem as possible. I will never be running insane power, currently bpu with 3.7 diff ratio. W58: there's debate on the power/torque levels these can hold. I used to own a 5 speed szr and never had any complaints about shift motion etc. Will it work with my diff ok, or will i be at high rpm on the motorway etc.. R154: apparently feel very "agrucultural" to shift, ive never used one. Can take bpu power effectively, with perhaps a little headroom? By and large they require similar parts to convert, so I suppose the biggest question is price for each box and rebuild parts availability? A part of me says v160 for oem, however 8-10k for an unproven 20year old gearbox??? Also t56 magnum, around the sane price but a new warrantied box. My man maths cant pay 8k for a manual gearbox when i could buy a very good manual car for that!! Thanks
  9. Track discs and pads for r35 gtr are about £500 for pads and £1000 for discs. This is without labour costs.
  10. Sorry pirrelli p zero corsa's as an example are £1570 from demon tweeks before fitting, balancing and geo set up. Yeah gtr's do rust like datsuns of old.
  11. Mine seems similar, if i stick my foot down it gets to 4k and takes off. However if im in manual mode, drop it to second around 40mph, then hoof it, it doesnt always hit full boost. I havent changed the pipes to the presure tank, but have replaced all the others and tested all vsv's. All ok. My egbv actuator looks a touch rusty, freed it up a bit the otger morning before driving. Should you be able to move the actuator rod by hand?
  12. I had a vx220 turbo last and theyre fun, great punch acceleration and grip but not being able to hold a conversation above 50mph with the roof up gets old quick!! Haha.
  13. Is it just me or are a lot of new performance cars just too fast to use, bar on track or autobahn. My supra is 'just' 400hp bpu auto but getting the 2nd turbo on song puts you in to licence losing territory. I had a civic type r years back and you could wring its neck through the revs on the a roads without a care.... Also 90's jap stuff are cheap on consumables, r35 gtr would be what id want but discs & pads all round nearly a 2k bill, tyres all round are the same.
  14. This was the issue, 16.2 psi felt lovely. Especially when it was a free fix. Fuel hose works fine as a replacement for pipes that are clipped but not for vacuum!
  15. [emoji106] Yes, im going to test it today on the supermarket jaunt. Hopefully that was all it was[emoji106] Last time i had the issue, i replaced a lot of pipes with fuel hose. I found all the vacuum lines to be a sloppy fit now, so replaced with bmw oem vacuum line. Much tighter fit.
  16. The vsv is gas control valve, my car has a boost controller so i know waste gate vsv will only have one pipe on port f the other has been diverted to the controller. I take it gas control valve should have both pipes attached??
  17. This may well be my issue the rear vsv, in front of the turbo. This house was off. Im assuming it should be on??
  18. What do the extensions look like on a car? Anyone got a pic?
  19. Any update as to when your going to list the parts? Ive been checking my phone every 10 mins for the last 20 hours [emoji23]
  20. Shiply maybe? I was in the sane position eatlier this year and in the end i hired a van and drove to pick it up. Like a 10 hour round trip but i knew the bonnet was safe and cost me £60 to hire the van + fuel. Safest way i could think of. With covid though travelling that far would be daft.
