1. Has anyone PM'd a mod directly?

UK brakes

Stock big brakes are the next upgrade I've got planned. Replace the front and rear at the same time to keep brake balance as intended, then take a really good look at the suspension. No point making it look good and go fast if you can't stop it

I don't bother with primer grenades (oshiboom etc), paper pyro is accepted at more sites and has fewer restrictions on how you throw it. Save the money and put it towards a different gun when you inevitably decide you want one . Indoors the Mk5 thunderflash is my go-to pyro, outdoors it's a ball grenade. I'd take a pair of ball grenades or thermobarics indoors as well for long throws, thunderflashes aren't heavy enough for that. I've been using TLSFX for the last few years, works well and reasonably priced.
4. I was seriously looking at them before I got the Supra, love a rotary and figured if I'm going to have a silly car I may as well go all in... If anything exploded/broke I'd just buy another one and move the bits I'd replaced across, cheaper than fixing (Rotary Revs do a basic rebuild for ~£2k). The bit that killed it for me was the shape of the transmission tunnel next to the clutch, just couldn't fit my foot in there comfortably.
5. Hi guys, I'm looking for a known working throttle control ECU from a TT auto (jap import, 1997). The part code on my existing ECU is 89670-14050 (secondary code on it is 123000-0032). Would be looking for an exact match. Does anyone have anything suitable for sale? Thanks, Ian

The bbs don't leave a mark on your clothes if that's what you mean. It's all honour based and sometimes people cheat. Also sometimes it looks like you should have hit the other player, when in reality the bb fell out of the air and rolled to the floor near them. That probably causes more arguments than people cheating...
7. I've got Eagle F1 Asymm 2's on a set of 18's at the moment which don't seem to mind rain etc above about 12c. It's really noticeable how much grip drops off when it's cold and wet out though, looking for something that'll see me through to mid march with little trouble.
8. Hi guys, Hopefully a quick one, I'm looking to fit some winter tyres before things get properly cold. I have a set of 17" OEM rims but am having a hard time finding tyres that'll fit and be the same all round. Looking at an old thread it would seem that Toyota UK said to fit a 235/45R17 all round. I'm not too sure if that was on the staggered rims, or by using a second pair of the narrower fronts at the rear? If anyone has a copy of the page in the UK handbook that'd be a great help. Also if anyone has suggestions on a decent set of tyres for typical UK I'd really appreciate it. Ian
9. If you're still thinking of selling this I'd be interested. Got an OEM sidemount that's seen better days.
10. Had to do a 50/50 to show how bad it had gotten in two weeks: It gets washed fairly regularly but driven every day and parked outside. Looking to get some proper winter tyres and run right the way through (carefully)
11. If looking at gas rifles, have a really good look at the GHK G5. Its very impressive, the mags keep working when it's cold and everything.

I know the Mall quite well, not been in a few months but it's a good laugh. Better with fewer people, otherwise it bogs down too quickly. If you've never been to the mall before, bring a torch, it is very dark downstairs. Quite fond of Combat South and Zed Adventures Battle Lakes as well. I think airsoft is good for a laugh with a bunch of mates, certainly not something to be taken seriously. You can literally see the bb's coming towards you and dodge them, no chance of that with real bullets. Also beware the temptation to buy lots of guns straight away, get one that you like the look of and run it to death. Then upgrade it if you're still playing .
13. Rust. They're all getting on a bit now and the UK roads are not kind. Suspension parts, exhaust and driveline can be replaced but it all adds up and it's just not worth buying a rotten shell. That said they're generally solid cars, certainly better than some much newer. The original auto ('93~'97) is very nice to drive, not had a go in the tiptronic ones so can't compare. Are you worried about UK model or Import? If not that makes things easier. There is a guide on things to look out for when buying a Supra.. If you can, bring a friend along who has the job of talking you out of it.
14. Looks very nice! I'm over in Epsom, quite a few of us in Surrey
15. Not a daft question at all, it's pretty tough to find if you don't want to read 300 pages of guff Map on page 144 - It's the middle floor of house of Fraser car park
16. A decent lump of throttle won't do any damage to the gears/drivetrain in 1st or 2nd if it's stock or BPU, the only thing it's bad for is fuel economy . You should feel 'something' happening by about 3k rpm, you should really feel something happening by about 5k (changeover to both turbo's is about 4-4.5k rpm). The factory boost gauge will pick up if you give it death (hit the kickdown button on accelerator pedal, it's fun) from about 15mph to 70, it won't show much if you're driving below 70 at steady speed, the turbo isn't pushing much boost then anyway. I'd recommend reading this thread for more about the auto box, it can do a lot if you want to: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?86128-The-Autobox-Modes-of-Operation
17. I can't do many meets in a month, I'd rather just hit a bigger meet once in a month rather than split time between two.
18. So if the car had a custom under tray that was completely flat the length of the car, you wouldn't be able to look under it for problems? Even if it was blatantly made of thin cheap plastic to prevent exactly this and then removed afterwards?
19. Well worth it, they're so much fun
20. You need the ring (or something else in the exhaust) on a j-spec to create back pressure and stop the turbo running away on you, the wastegate is simply too small to do the job by itself. The UK and other markets had a bigger wastegate and so don't need a restrictor. With the right ECU you don't need an external boost controller, it'll look after things for you, couldn't tell you beyond Syvecs what will do that though. Don't know much about hybrids myself, keeping it on hand as an option for more power later
21. Just realised I'd not said which type I wanted, S2000 please
22. For a TT-Auto I was looking to spend up to £8k a few months ago, not hard to see a turbo manual going for more. Would never touch anything with damage that had just been left to rust, tells you all you need to know about the owners attitude to repairs and maintenance.
23. I'll be along, no supra this month though. Maybe we could start a 'red cars that aren't supras go to Bluewater' section?
