  1. Yeah, the pipes are stock. It's running up to 1.2 on J-spec's, as long as I remember to lift at about 5k. Got another leak/issue in there somewhere that's kicking it up towards , highest on recent record was 1.5, that's a bit too high for my wallet at the moment. Currently hunting for problems but may have to give it to someone with skills to track down.
  2. Sounds like I'm off to Superdrug at lunchtime then. Anyone want anything while I'm there
  3. Purely anecdotal, my TT auto was doing about 12-15mpg before swapping the O2 sensor a month ago, I'm now getting 22-27mpg depending on driving conditions. Worth considering, as you might get the money back in a couple tanks of fuel and worst case have a brand new sensor to last another 60k miles. It's also a pretty simple job to do yourself if it's not seized solid.
  4. Hi guys, I left a junction in a bit of a hurry last night and as I came off the gas heard a pop. Car proceeded to wheeze along at atmospheric for the 3 minutes to my door, won the traffic light GP though so that's good. On closer inspection it seems that a junction in the (stock?) pipes leaving the intercooler, roughly below the viscous fan has come apart. Are there any tips for keeping it together other than "do it up tight you muppet"? Thanks, Ian.
  5. That was an excellent weekend, well worth doing and a huge thankyou to everyone who organised or helped out! I'm still trying to remember what happened Friday, might be at that a while...
  6. I've just stuck a full set of Goodyear Eagle F1's on, very impressed with them so far (~370-400 bhp), not sure if they'll come in a size that works for you though.
  7. There's this thread in the tech reference section, specifically for a rear wheel stud but I suspect it would be similar for front: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?61142-How-To-Replace-a-rear-wheel-stud
  8. Got my JAE ticket sorted now, can't wait! I'm assuming you guys are just keeping track of who's paid on the club side of things, I don't need yet another ticket I can't print
  9. Bought the first TT auto I found in good/great condition, sod whether it was import, facelift, vvti or what have you. They're pretty similar to insure (if not the same) with the right insurance broker. Couldn't afford a manual so didn't worry about that There's a guide on what to look for up on the front page of the site and in the tech guides bit. Bring a mate who's mechanically minded or jump in blind and have deep pockets. As with any older car, run a mile if it's orange/black and crusty underneath.
  10. I have a working contact for problems with JAE tickets. I've checked and he's happy for me to pass on his email address to anyone else with ticket problems (the sales@ address has been fixed as well). Obviously I'm not going to stick it out in the open for spam prevention etc. but if you drop me a PM I'll pass you the address. Hopefully they'll sort my ticket out soon, can't wait
  11. Nope, nothing after paying. All the email addresses they have on the site are bouncing or returning 550 no user as well. I've gotten in touch with their webdev guy and will see how that goes. His email works at least...

    NA-T vs TT

I went through Adrian Flux in the end, about £560 plus some extras I wanted. That's with driving for work purposes (not hire/reward) and 10k miles a year.
  13. I'll have to get in touch then, nothing in mailbox or spam yet.

    NA-T vs TT

You shouldn't need to go UK for insurance, when I did mine it was the same or within £30 to insure a Jap import. Just use a specialist, the normal insurers will do nasty things to your wallet.
  15. Dumb question, do the JAE guys post out entry tickets to you once you buy them, or is it electronic? I'm going to be out on the road for a week or so before JAE and haven't seen anything come through yet...

    NA-T vs TT

I've only recently gone from a comparatively slow manual front wheel drive car to an auto TT supra, I was amazed at how easy they are to drive slowly. That's not to say the car is slow, just that if you want to drive slowly you can. It's not like a 1.4l petrol that you have to keep on the boil to make any progress with. From what I've seen the TT and NA insurance are similar, ask around and get quotes for both.
  17. Try this thread Found it while looking for the oil and fluids guide a bit back.
  18. Gotta love the words "sold as seen" when there's suspect turbos.
  19. Because you're still paying £0.57 per litre in fixed fuel duty (on top of the cost of the fuel) and then paying VAT on the whole lot. The actual oil price is only 1/3 of what you're paying for.
  20. I'm missing Could you put me down for an S2000 stubby please
  21. I'll be along, first visit with the right car. Should be there before 8.

  23. Do you put a UV protective coating back on after polishing? Polycarbonate tends to go milky with UV exposure.
  24. If it's not too late can I jump in on this? S2000 Stubby would be ideal.
  25. Right, ticket booked, could you add me to the list?
