I totally see why you would want to do this as you say the aerotop is the ultimate but your TT6 is stunning and would seem a lot of effort just to get the aero? As for an opinion on your actual question I would imagine it would be a lot easier to buy a TT Auto aero and swap your gearbox into it?! Then you can break your current one to recoup your money!! I'll have the wheels lol...

Yeah this is what I've been thinking but I'm concerned that if I go red and eventually change the colour of the car to red it will be way too much and black & polished might be easier on the eye?

I always do this it's force of habit, due to working at Toyota and ALL of the new models physically won't start without the clutch pushed down. I now do it in any car without even thinking including the supra ??

I would like some opinions on engine bays, I've currently got mine stripped to find a coolant leak. Whilst it's been pulled apart I've decided Rad has seen better days so upgrading to an alloy one and thought I might as well do the hoses at the same time. I've decided to go the silicone route but struggling to choose a colour (sad I know). To give you an idea what my car intentions are, at some point I will be doing a full engine out and rebuild so will eventually go down a full 'theme' bay so although very early this may be the start of said theme on colour/alloy. I'm planning on hopefully getting a full re-spray which at present I'm thinking this will be a custom red on black rims, so I don't want a colour in the engine that will eventually clash with the exterior? Colour options Black: My top choice at present keeping the engine to black and alloy Red: 2nd choice to match the exterior in the future and at least stands out Blue: Think it will clash with the red exterior when I get that far I'm looking at mishimoto hoses

Why would u think a colour change wouldn't match the VIN? Soon as your done respraying u send the log book off to DVLA with the new colour and they change it all to match?? It will just show on the HPI that it's had a colour change! But I wouldn't think that would lower the value?

I would say 6 speed, everyone has said to me the auto is excellent and a better drive but sod that I LOVE my 6 speed box
