  1. What a stunning looking car simply amazing work has gone into that. Found the thread last night and read through the whole thing and subscribed can't wait to see her finished. Just wish I had the skills to be able to do half of what you've done to yours...
  2. Yeah I had guessed height would be part of the 'custom' setup that we would discuss when ordering, I was more asking what others had gone for with there's when having your setups installed I see alot have lowered the rear by 10/15mm and the fronts by about 25/30mm?? I'm guessing with you comment that may be too much of a drop?
  3. Chris, thanks for your very indeepth reply and after looking into 'Stock' Toyota bilsteins even at cost price the difference is not large enough to say I would rather save the money and feel for the extra few ££ will be getting me a much better setup and with you building them custom to the setup I require this will give me a much better ride. In terms of 'Fast Road' I'm guessing this will give me a firmer feel with good stiffness when 'having a play' but then not to hard to make it uncomfortable on long journeys etc? If there is anyone that has got Chris's fast road setup on there Supra's would like to give me there feedback good or bad (PM if would rather) maybe even a pic or two just so I can see the ride height? I better get savings some pennies so can look to get a set of these on order at somepoint might be looking at the new year now as I'm going to do the brakes at the same time and really haven't got the cash at present but will be in touch soon Chris. Thanks again.
  4. 2nd that what a stunning colour, really suits the car I've been considering a candy red with black wheels for mine in the future but that green has made me re-consider...
  5. Looks like a great meet, wish I could of made it and meet everyone. Although looking at the pictures my poor old beast would of looked a little out of place as every one of yours looks stunning I better get started on mine before the next meet
  6. Just looking at there facebook page and this years show was 20th July so not sure if next years dates will be similar? And there I was thinking that camping could actually be fun for one of the nights lol...
  7. Well after reading through your comments gents and also lots of forum searching and Google searching although these are extremely popular coilovers they are definitely prone to issues which knocking and banging is something that I really can't put up with Lol... So with that in mind I'm considering stripping them all off and put them up for sale and replace them with some bilstein shocks, garage whifbitz lowering springs and some garage whifbitz adjustable anti roll bars?? I've already got front and rear strut braces. Your opinions welcomed? And any advice or alternatives I should look at?
  8. I like the idea of traveling about a bit, if going to do such a long journey seems a shame to waste it based at one place. It might also be a good idea to try and time this in with the custom show that drift_bear mentioned??
  9. Got car up on ramp today to find out what model I have and they are tein flex ??
  10. I would love to come across to this but unfortunately wifey out with her friends for the evening so I'm at home on babysitting duty's for my baby girl lol, I don't think a supra meet till late with a 4 year old is the best idea lol... I'll certainly be up for the next one tho June sounds like a potential for me, I just wouldn't be able to do August or September.

  12. Hi all, Brand new to the forum and supra owner for only 1 week but this sounds like great fun and a good weekend away I'm going to try and do a couple of local meets and put some faces to screen names, but if this was something that was intended for next year sometime I would be up for it?
  13. Fair enough it's nice to have different peoples opinions and gives me plenty of ideas to look at I'm not massively concerned about ride comfort, as this is only weekend toy and will prob only do 3k a year and if I'm totally honest I actually like a stiff ride but I do want something that is built with decent and correct products to make a lovely car. The lowered look is my own personal preference tho
  14. Hi gents, Just noticed I had some replies for some reason my notifications haven't been coming through bluewater meet sounds good to me unfortunately the next meet being the 3rd I can't make me and wifey are going to see Jon Richardson, I better not blow her out to come out to a supra meet hey? haha!! But 100% up for the next one as be nice to meet a few locals and it's not too much of a drive, plus got family that way (2 birds 1 stone and all )I'm from Chelmsford area how about you guys? I'll get some pics up when get a mo been busy enjoying the new toy and forgot to actually take some shots of her lol...
  15. Ok cheers gents I will get my workshop (I work at a Toyota dealership) to strip them all down and check out the main bits was just hoping it isn't something too expensive top mounts would of been nice and easy/cheap specially as the disks & pads are needing to be done soon too, the joys of buying an old car but God damn does it make me smile every time I look at it and drive it Swampy, you say these are cheap garbage are they improvement over stock as I see on the forum a lot of people seem to upgrade to them???
  16. Hi all, Wondered if anyone could give a newbi some advice, just purchased my first TT6 and am so happy I've finally got one but there's a really really annoying knocking from the rear suspension which I need to get sorted, I have no idea what particular coilovers they are but I'm sure there tein stamped... My question is could I use standard Toyota top mounts on tein aftermarket coilovers? Also I am only making an assumption that it's the top mounts if not what else could it be knocking and squeaking from the rear end?
  17. Hi All, After many years dreaming of one day owning my own TT Man Supra the opportunity finally arose and I jumped at the chance I'm from sunny essex, looking forward to joining in some local meets to meet all the locals and check out your beauties to give me some ideas on what things should be done to mine... Unfort i've not had chance to take any pics yet but its a Black Jap Import done 105500 Miles with only 1 UK owner and has been very well looked after but is in need of some real TLC so far only really had to do new coil clips, spark plugs and clutch master as peddle kept getting stuck on the floor was quite scary when coming to roundabout lol... Has got a really annoying knock from rear but has got aftermarket ajustable coilovers so need to get it looked at if it's just top mounts and if need to match aftermarket or can you use standard toyota mounts? Dan
