  1. I always drive at 12mph for maximum safety.
  2. Very nice. I failed my last one because the car went rusty. That said, mechanically they do seem very good - I guess that's a product of an overengineered driveline.
  3. When it's cold and icy out and the roads are covered in salt and dirt I sometimes do wonder why I keep it. But taking it out on a dry day makes me forget all that. My insurance when I first got the car was about 1100, it's
  4. I'm picking my sup up from the bodyshop tomorrow so my future complaint will be this disgusting weather ruining my shiny new paint.
  5. 3k for a crashed NA auto, that is a surprise. I suppose it's low miles at least.
  6. Anyone's on here? I caught a glimpse of it in the Tescos carpark as I was leaving around 4pm.
  7. Nice repairs, I've just had my sills welded up for MOT. It gets very disheartening seeing more rust popping up. The winter roads aren't kind to our cars.
  8. I will have the gear surround if nobody else has got there first. Drop me a PM with how you want paying.

    PC racing setup

I've got a G25, also on assetto corsa - it's fun but you don't get the g-forces from driving a real car which makes it hard for me to feel what's going on sometimes. I think a VR headset would be helpful, I've been looking at the Rift too.
  10. Mercedes 190E Evo II if we're counting low production cars. http://cdn1.evo.co.uk/sites/evo/files/mercedes-190-evo2-ftq_0.jpg
  11. I've just spent 30 mins shovelling snow off the road and progressing by inches to even get mine onto the drive, so no snow for me until I get some proper winter tyres. I'm glad I have two cars.
  12. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?96814-Supra-NA-topspeed-and-0-60 From what I've read, 6.5 seconds. If you want to go drag racing there are probably faster options for less money.
  13. I think on mine it's because the windscreen seal is old and water can get in behind it and sit there.
  14. How much would postage be on top of that approximately?
  15. Mine was mangled underneath from some idiot jacking it up improperly (including on the floor) and I had some nice rust holes at the back of the pinch welds which I've since had welded up. It's also got bubbles around the windscreen and on the sills below the doors so it's back to the bodyshop again soon. I don't know if there's some issue with the paint or if it's just an old car being old but after everyone on here goes on about how rust-free their supras are I'm jealous. Best to check behind all the trim and get it fixed asap for sure.
  16. Part no. is 53395-14010, whifbitz sell them I think.
  17. I made my own spoiler ECU once, it functions similarly to the original ECU but allows manual up/down with a toggle switch. Here is a link. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?337723-Active-spoiler-controller This post has the wiring diagrams and some other info for the ones AndrewOW used to make. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?261667-Supra-active-spoiler-manual-override-modules&p=4138564&viewfull=1#post4138564

    my bad luck supra

I think I would have gone for a re-shell before the turbo if it was my car :-) Are you using a specific turbo kit or did you get all the bits separately?
  19. I agree on the rust. It'd be good to put the common areas where it goes rusty on the body like the boot seal (are there any other common areas?). And to watch out for chewed up sills from improper jacking.
  20. Get rid of the full MOT sure, but I think there should be some kind of basic test to ensure they're not going to split in half from rust at 80mph on the motorway.

    So much hate

My record with my NA5 is 27mpg on a long trip back from Cornwall but in day-to-day life I get about 21. I write it down it every time I fill the car up.

    So much hate

Most of the hate I see for the 2JZ-GE and the Supra comes from people who have never driven them and don't have any real knowledge about them. At the end of the day we have cooler cars than they do so they can keep their opinions to themselves
