  1. haha its okay, i've been getting grief about it at work from the lads for the last 7 months, I'm quite use to to it now but if someone would like to bring a spare working box i'd happily bring a sum of cash for it on my travels! Got to make some phone calls see if i can get it booked in the garage tomorrow for a quick oil change and check over and a vallet i'll purchase the ticket this afternoon
  2. My apology, bit slow at this time in the morning I'm going to spend my 12 hours at work watching previous dragonball videos and make my mind up this evening, unless it gos in the mean time anyone got a list of things that would be advisable to take? very small amount of time for me to get things ready, I'll have tomorrow day before night shift then have to head down thursday, might be trying to stretch myself a bit thin

Hi welcome to the club, lovely looking supra you have there His prices soon rose, i went to see him as he was based in my village and i heard great things. His dad owns a body shop in Stokesly this is where marco was taught his stuff
  4. if i buy this ticket, i will have bought a ticket twice, i sold off my 1st a week or two back
  5. Could someone buy this please Sooo tempted now! But my sensible head is telling me I'm being an idiot!
  6. if you are set on a landrover check for rust they love it! just recently helped (pointed and laughed mainly) at a friend rebuild his inner front wings due to rot personally i'm a jap fan and own a jimny 4" lift, mud tyres, snorkel, winch low ratio transfer box gets me pretty much anywhere, but i do break it as i p&p and keep looking for harder stuff to try every time i'm out, it will get there eventually, probably go with land cruiser axles or something for laning a jimny with a 2" lift and muds and a snorkel would be in budget and a great little car, wouldnt see much issue with it just laning either i do admit there are more spares available for discos as there is just more of them being broken
  7. Depends how much you are willing to spend, I wanted fun for my first car, I bought a suzuki jimny with the whole intention modifying it into a off road toy, my first years insurance cost me £2700 for a £1200 car, still got it now, costs me around £500 to insure on a specialist off road policy, had my fun in the mud and rocks rather than thinking I was king of the road trying like a total bell end, most of my friends wrote off a car in their 1st year because of that 2/3 years later I'm onto a tt6 supra which doesn't cost me the earth to insure, now I can be a bell end
  8. back at work tomorrow, i'll check my shifts and let you know, but would be up for this, did anyone end up at croft? i saw one supra leaving as i arrived then no others
  9. great news to hear the driver is okay, real shame about the supra but its only metal at the end of the day, it can be replaced the life can not. I can't even beging to imagen what at crash at those speeds would feel like, hopefully i never get to experiance a crash like that!
  10. Way to make a new guy feel involved I joke it's probably best I don't buy it, I'll keep and eye on it and if no one wants it I may snap it up
  11. I do have euro breakdown cover already in my insurance policy but it would be such a chew on if it was to fail whilst abroad
  12. tempted to re buy a ticket seeing as i let mine go the other week, and risk running with a knocking gearbox and hope for the best, but i know that is just lunacy
  13. anyone going to this, i might have a run through, the track should be good to watch in this weather, some spins and things
  14. Hey alan, good to see you finally sign up, is that the correct colour name? either way i like it and will now call it that rather than old man bronze I'll bring my supra down and we can try a wheel off yours on mine and see how close they are to uk calipers on wednesday if you want?

    GT86 now £22k

I really like the GT86, i very very nearly bought one last year, but ended up wanting more power and got the supra which i'm very happy with, But i think the way they drive when you get them out on the twisties and having to rev the engine hard to get it go anywhere makes you feel you are really driving the car rather than just tickling what performance it has If the prices 2nd hand keep falling the way they do, I'll deffinately think about getting one as a daily driver
  16. Skelton, So I'm actually only a mile or two from the NY border My cars not show worthy yet and having drawn out gearbox issues, but hopefully it will be fixed soon and ready to come to meets
  17. 35. crock (Cleveland) but prefer to say north Yorkshire
  18. I'm currently regretting the large lack of sleep i had to see that fight, and then spend 12 hours at work today, was so boring
  19. Like i said earlier i hope its all fixed by then, if not the car wont be with me, i'll start over with a fresh import i think, However if it is done i'll be down in the supra anyway, i enjoyed seeing all the arabic supercars last year, so i think i'll spend a long weekend down this summer, so maybe a supra meet could be sorted out? The trd mount has been fitted to the car since purchase and the rattle wasnt there before, its only of recent this has developed but cheers anyway
  20. Oulton will be a bit of a drive for me, 5 hour round trip according to google maps I'm off work on the 22nd so would deffinately be up for meeting at croft, thats only 45 mins away from me
  21. again many thanks for this, i shall give you a shout in the next couple of days, if the weather stays nice so we can have a proper look, cheers again mike
  22. Cheers for that, I already have everythign else required so i only need the bare box, Did you try toyota uk for a v161 before getting it from america? how long was the delivery time? cheers again
  23. Hadn't noticed the part number, I'll pop back down tomorrow with that and see if that makes a difference on their system, Would be more willing to hand over a lump of cash like this with such a wait to toyota rather than an online website
  24. has anyone got a facelift chassis number they are willing to PM me and i can take to my dealer then as i gave them mine which is prefacelift so will show a v160 not the v161? all i need is the box i'm already running a TT6
