  3. Yep, count me in, as long as we're positioned inside the actual show this time! Also must remember to take sun cream and a hat, it was outrageously hot last time [emoji23]
  4. Finally got the opportunity to get her out of the workshop, and pleased to say it's finished - although I appear to have lost my spoiler end caps in the process [emoji21] She's now home safe which I'm really pleased about, ready to come out and play when the weather improves [emoji41]
  5. I pm'd you this morning mark
  6. Lol I need to catch up with a few other bits, but always looking to do new things. Although I don't think I'd do another full respray in a hurry [emoji23]
  7. Thanks gents, appreciate the compliments [emoji106]
  8. Thanks buddy, I'm really pleased with it. It's been a labour of love o ly having weekends to do it, but the results are worth it. Just need to try and keep it nice now, I never want to drive it again [emoji23]
  9. No bud, it's a custom bonnet I made. I added the scoop to an old stock one, moulded it, and made a grp bonnet. The wings fit really well, not as easy as oem, but that's to be expected with material type and thickness differences. I could do with shunting the bonnet over a few mm, which I'll probably do once it's been driven and settled a bit. I doubt very much that it'll be visiting bonnie Scotland, but I'll certainly be at some of the main shows next year [emoji106]
  10. Realised I hadn't updated for a while! So last weekend I'd pretty much got everything back together, and reconnected the battery after 3 months. Everything seems to be working thus far, so that's good I suppose [emoji23] Today I've machine polished the entire car with a finishing compound, and applied a coat of Gtechniq c2v3 which is a polymer based sealant, used instead of wax. The reviews are excellent, so time will tell how it lasts. I've also got the wheels back on and polished those with belgom, and got it back on the ground. All things being well and good, it should be coming home tomorrow, if the weather is dry! I just need to polish and fit the rear spoiler, check all the levels, and see if she'll fire up [emoji3590]
  11. Yes, it's what I'm running. The auto box still uses the factory ecu for it to function, and the stock ecu takes care of the idle etc. The fcon gold is a stand alone, but piggy backs off the oem ecu, to take care of fuelling, timing, etc. They're a very capable unit, but finding a mapper is getting harder, as hks were very fussy about who they let have their software. I run one in mine, and it's spot on
  12. Pm me your number please bud
  13. Where abouts in Southend are you mate?
  14. Do you mean the inner wing bolts, or the wheel arch liner screws? The wing bolts are m6
  15. Received the ecu today, thanks for the super quick delivery buddy [emoji106]
  16. Cheers dude, I just want it done now so I can have my weekends back [emoji23]
  17. Another weekend in, and slightly closer to having it done. Everything takes so much longer than you think, especially final fit up! Anyway, got my uk calipers swapped over to my newly refurbed ones, rear 1/4 glass bonded back in, bonnet fitted and wings adjusted up, interior mostly back in, mirrors and door lock barrels fitted, rear lights wired back up, wipers and windscreen seal fitted, and wet flatted the front bumper ready for polishing........
  18. Interested in the tt auto ecu and the ash tray lid. What's the best you can do for the pair delivered?
  19. I figured as much. I removed the screws from my casing, and found it was still stuck together quite firmly. I'll have a play around with it, and update.....
  20. I still have my faulty ecu at home, so I think I'll whip the cover/s off, and see if there's anything obvious inside. That way we may be able to identify what components are potentially causing these issues. I've been given details of a local company who are apparently very good with anything electronic related. I may have them look at my old unit, before suggesting the local lad to me tries his with them. I don't know the details of this place in Portsmouth. I can probably find out, but I'm sure Darren at whifbitz would be happy to share it, if people wanted to try them out
  21. It's a known issue that these original ecus are starting to go wonky. Apparently the capacitors are going bad inside. To be honest, any TV repair shop should be able to diagnose and fix failed components, I don't know why whifbitz suggested using this company in Portsmouth?
  22. It's for a friend, who's not a member on here. He's had problems with o/d light flashing, no manu mode, trac light, and a few other things. He took the car to whifbitz, where Darren plugged another ecu in, and it fixed everything. Incidentally I had the same issue with mine a few months ago, and a new ecu cured mine. He's sent his original ecu to a place in Portsmouth, recommended by whifbitz, but it's come back, and not all of the problems have been cured. So we're looking for a known good one, to replace his
  23. Hi guys, as per the title, I'm after a pre facelift stock tt auto ecu. Can anyone help, trying to track down an issue!
  24. Ok so since my last update, I've managed to get the bonnet and front bumper painted, along with getting the rear bumper and lights fitted. It's starting to feel like I'm getting somewhere now. A few more weeks until it's complete, but I'm getting there!
