  1. It's just wires. Anything can be sorted out with wires...and other electrickery bits.
  2. I believe you! It's more trying to get my local Toyota garage to match it other than me saying "blah can do it at this price". Nay mind.
  3. Mine has Made In Italy stamped on it?
  4. I don't suppose you could do me a favour an photo the invoice. I'll take it into my local to bash over the head with the price.

  6. Cool. That's where I'm at. - - - Updated - - - Are you seriously expecting me to believe you wash your Volvos?
  7. I can do Demon Tweaks, but will be seeing my mate Graham Massey in the evening, so pancakes are a no go.

    Audi TT

I rented a Cinquecento in Italy (you can't call it a 500 there!) and was very pleasantly surprised by it. Those Abarths are probably great fun for the ££'s. No idea how durable they are though? It IS a Fiat after all.... I don't think the Civic R's of that age are well rated compared to the previous gen.

    Audi TT

I needed to replace my daily driver recently and went to look at some TT's. For me I wanted something newer (don't like the old bubble shape) and Quattro which meant spend £15k plus. I was appalled at the state of the used ones I saw at various dealerships. In the end I decided that if I was to replace the Supra then I'd go the route of CW's friend - turbo modified, SMG box, all the toys. I decided to respray the Supra. Also I really like the new ones with the LED dash, maybe wait for those to be a better price next year. I could go and get myself a new executive Audi/BMW or whatever, but quite frankly I'd rather keep the money in the bank. I've come to realise unless you're doing a lot of miles and want comfort, then cars are a complete waste of money status symbols. As it was, I just wanted something fun and reliable to get to work in so I got a 2010 MX5 with electric hard top with low miles for just £8k from Mazda dealership with warranty. It's BRILLIANT fun, just right for our country and A roads. Space is a limitation though.... Oh yes! Very nice.
  11. Time to book the Bierkeller!!! https://www.zumschluessel.de Classic Remise Dusseldorf http://www.remise.de Whether you're a car worshiper or not, this unique museum is worth your time. Hidden away from the tourist center, Classic Remise is fully dedicated to vintage cars, and housed within a historic building with neatly organized sections. Besides garages and refreshments, you can also find dealers of antique automobiles along with shops selling model cars, clothing items, spare parts, and accessories The Old Town (Alstadt) The Old Town is definitely the heart and soul of Dusseldorf. With its historical flair, plenty of major museums and galleries, over 260 cafés, restaurants, breweries (along with one of the longest bars in the world), night clubs, and local boutiques, along with being located by the beautiful Rhine river and within proximity to other areas of interest; this vibrant Old Town is a great start to your visit. Rheinuferpromenade This is probably the best walk you can have in Dusseldorf. Besides the exquisite views, Rheinuferpromenade offers its own style of life with plenty of activities: from public salsa classes to young local singers and, if you're lucky enough, public marriage proposals. A casual stroll, a glass of beer, a scoop of ice cream, or a great meal; everything is at your disposal Rhine Tower (Rheinturm) As the Rhine Tower is featured in almost any Dusseldorf guidebook or postcard — and with a height of 240.5 meters (800 ft) — it's impossible to miss the city's tallest building. This telecommunication tower is, without doubt, the best location to have an awesome complete city view. Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen If you're into art, this museum is a must! From Paul Klee to Picasso, from Dali to Max Slevogt, you can expect some awe-inspiring pieces of contemporary art here from both European and foreign impressionists and expressionists. The art collection of the Federal State of Nordrhein-Westfalen will fulfill anyone who appreciates aesthetics.
  12. Whiteline had a reputation for being cheap crap that didn't last long...but that was over 10 years ago.
  13. I have them. Good upgrade. Not too harsh at all and improved the handling.
  14. This shouldn't happen IMHO and is the crux of the issue. It should never be tampered with and show on import the KM, then read Miles from there on leaving the owner to work out the conversion. As you say, it all comes down to how well cared for, where it's been stored, the type of weather conditions (by the sea?), parts replaced etc. etc. I'm confident mine has done what it says, something near 100k, but looks nothing like that. Maybe I should clock it.
  15. Something of a sweeping statement. All of them? I'm sure there are plenty of clocked UK Supras out there or had the ODO replaced, especially those digital readouts.
  16. I'm guessing he's finished messing about with the fancy sports car.
