  1. Lol you've got some balls. If only you actually knew this guy
  2. Emanage Ultimate I think I had a stock ECU error when I went for mapping with Ryan originally. A few weeks after mapping the car kept running lean until I reset the ECU and everything went rich. I've changed from 2.5" intercooling piping to 3" with a much larger intercooler. I've ditched the 3" downpipe and 2.5" exhaust system for a 4" downpipe/midpipe and 4.5" exhaust. I also had it mapped on 95ron, not the best idea I know, Ryan did explain this was a mistake but I still pushed 373. Also, the boost controller failed on the dyno. Epic failure. Though it wouldn't of made a huge difference as it wasn't running properly anyway. For a while I checked the ignition when I returned, the car didn't run properly for ages I swapped parts and had white tip spark plugs and all sorts. Disconnected the battery and it seemed to go back to the standard it was when I first had it dyno'ed. Installing an AFR gauge showed it was running very rich. I took some advice and removed the smallest amount of fuel from the RPM range that was worst affected. This stopped the misfire, and pointed me towards the fact I need a remap. The car clearly was't in the best condition or prepared for a piggy back tune. I'd flooded the engine days before with a loose hose from the TB on top of the engine. This I think may have contributed to some issues snow balling to affecting the dyno day. Ryan did try his best with the poor running engine and a failed boost controller, it just wasn't my day as someone drove into me leaving whifbitz garage wrecking my rear bumper moments before getting it mapped. A remap was always on the cards, my dyno print out shows how hectic the power comes in on boost. The curve is strong until the misfire, I think the stock ECU just didn't want to play. Maybe there is still issues with ignition, I've had no more white plugs though. Either way, I've expanded flow to and from the engine and I'd like to see how well it can do. With 440cc injectors Im sure it has lots of potential even with stock compression. I'm fitting alot of new cosmetic stuff and having bits sprayed so this is the last thing on the list and then it's done for a while as I build the new engine and spend some time enjoying it. Im in no rush for power, but it's always nice to have targets! I will need a new ecu or a remap of the old one in the next couple of months. Still undecided.
  3. I would obviously like the best I can buy for my money, but its gone from a remap, to a new standalone, to a top premium product. Still unsure where I'll go from here.
  4. Nice find nic! Think a few guys are going custom dash installs. Listy is doing one or has finished it.
  5. So how much for a Syvec's install and map Ryan ?
  6. I wouldn't want a full cage, that could cause you some serious harm. A rear cage would be pretty hard to hit I reckon? Unless your tall and sat on it of course.
  7. I always wanted an abflug pod http://mlracing.co.nz/magento/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/a/b/abflug-design_meter_box.png Davids: HKS pod: MVP: http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Merchant//catalog/jdm/t/supramkiv/p/ts/1.jpg
  8. Depends where you live and how you drive as well. My friend had a 219bhp 1.3 starlet that was fully, and I mean fully stripped out. Was super quick. He drove it down a cliff, without the cage he definitely would of been mince.
  9. Mould one in the clock? Didn't David P manage to fit all 6 in his upper glove box?
  10. Probably worth 1k in oil all over the engine, could sell that on!
  11. I sold my boost gauge as I wanted something more useful. I was going to install a AEM `Tru Boost` digital controller, but now I'm going standalone I will use a solenoid. So have a spare hole I want to fill with something as useful as possible. Does anyone use air intake temp sensors apart from the usual ECU add-on's that are only viewed through datalogging. I'm struggling to find any decent branded makes!
  12. Hmmmm not sure what to do now. AEM v1 aganst v2. Are many people able to map the Link ECU's?

    Na-t build

Mate, have you had this mapped? I can't find any info on it
  14. Tension set would be ideal but its not safety supported or easy to get hold of. Im hoping to do a few more track and drag days I bought a half cage. I didnt want the full works, but wanted some extra support on top.

    Headlight Rings

waiting for a response from manufactures.
  16. you said the AEM sensors are crap because it uses OEM. whats the point in paying extra for syvecs just to have no improved sensors? might as well just use AEM? I've spent loads getting bit's resprayed and new exhaust setup wasn't cheap and it need fabircating as well as it's a bigger system than my dp/mp. There's loads Ive bought lately, I just don't think I can justify 2.5k on an ECU. Even second hand, Im looking at 2k and that's if I have short cuts, choosing AEM was a short cut and I got flamed. Rather spend the difference between syvecs and AEM on better sensors for the EMS v2.
  17. 1750 + mapping. back over 2k mark.
  18. Thought syvecs was 2.5k?
  19. Im so glad that it doesn't matter what I buy for my car, if it's not plated with Gold it gets slated. Its NA, with an XS turbo, and a Happy Shopper AEM ECU in the pipeline, I might as well scrap it. Maybe I'm looking for something in my price range I don't want to re-morgage when I can do it for less for what I want out of my car.

    New supra owner

Car should look sweet after some love mate Silver does show off the curves well.
  21. R154? I looked at 350z gearbox's back along, but a waste of time. Maybe another car's gearbox. With the variation of gearbox's on the market and the ability to get custom prop's and bellhousings adapted, it seems crazy there isn't a box out there cheaper than a 160 that coud be used/
  22. think your right mate!
  23. Im sure he said AEM v2. I could be wrong. I spoke with AME earlier.
  24. AEM v2, thus making a thread asking for advice on it. Lolz?
