  1. Mine also has two. Neither work. Another job that needs looking at when it's back from the body shop.
  2. Where in Cornwall are you? We have a few members down here. Think I am the furthest North in Bude.
  3. Could you not just get some fabricated?
  4. Surely regardless of brakes you could get a set of 18s that would fit? It's just the design and offset that should matter. I'm sure the whifbitz track car had humongous brakes and ran 18s. Which brakes do you have?
  5. By the looks of things after a quick search yes the leons, toledos, ibizas all have hydraulic tappets.
  6. Well, I popped over today to have a look and the level was about 75mm over the top level!!! No wonder it wasn't happy! So I drained the oil until it was at the correct level, let in run for a bit and the horrible sounds went away result. Took it for a little drive, just a mile down the road and back, and at first it was really down on power (I'm guessing it was in limp mode) but after a little while the power started to come back. I think he is a very lucky boy to have not done any major damage. Below is a picture of how much oil came out to get it to the correct level. It's a 16 litre box by the way! So must have been a good 2 litres over filled!
  7. Seat Leon 20v turbo One of my friends rang me today because his "low oil pressure" warning light came on. He said he had driven it about 30 miles as he was in the middle of nowhere. He ran the car and let me listen over the phone and it sounded like there was no oil in it. It sounded really bad and noisy. I sked him when he last checked the oil and he said he topped it up yesterday. I asked him what the level was like now and he said it is well obove the top fill mark on the dipstick. Am I right in thinking too much oil can cause low oil pressure because the oil can become airated with the movement of the internal engine parts, become frothy and cause the pump to not be able to operate properly as it can't suck the airated oil through? In which case, draining the oil until it is at the correct level *could* resolve the problem?
  8. Due to the fact that the renewal of this Group Buy has not been discussed or cleared with the Moderators and Admins, I am closing the thread until the correct procedures for a Group Buy have been followed, as per the rules of the forum. Just because it was cleared two years ago, does not mean it would necessarily be cleared again as traders may wish to challenge it. Please re-apply for the Group Buy as if it was a new one.
  9. Sorry my bad. The 33kw thing is if you do your full liscense before the age of 21 (I think) then when you turn 21 you can go with anything. Maybe I just rode a 400 because who can tell your age when you have a lid on. Sounds like a stupid thing I would have done at 18. As for the RS125...great little bikes. Do suffer with electrical faults though iirc. It is Italian after all. The YZF I know are small in size. If you weigh more than about 10 stone I doubt it would be any good. GPR I have no idea. Seen them about but never ridden one.
  10. Oh, but if you are looking at 125s specifically, Aprilia RS125 is a winner. Whatever you get, if you plan on doing your full test, get something with gears not a twist and go.
  11. Personally with your budget, I'd go for something like a VFR400 if you can find one these days. Restrict it to 33bhp (or something like that) and you can ride it on a CBT. Then when you've done your test derestrict it and that should tide you over for a while. That's what I did years ago (a decade ago) but I never did my full test. It was derestricted though, but I was young and stupid at the time. I would say do the same with a CBR600/R6/GSXR600 but I don't know how well bikes that size will perform with a restriction in place.
  12. £11k for that seems rather cheap Keron. I was expecting a price tag of around £13k in all honesty. The want to have £11k in the bank is big right now if I had the money I'd be up there like a shot. Don't think this will be for sale for very long!!
  13. Nice little feature, I just never saw the point in it. Whats wrong with just using a key? It's part of the niceness of older cars for me.
  14. As Ric said, Auto Finesse is great stuff. My shelf is full of Meguairs and AF. For a glass cleaner, I'd go for Meguairs. It doesnt smear, only takes two sprays to do a windscreen, and it's that good, my misses made me get her a bottle for the house!
  15. I had a doluck front from KR last year (I think it was) that was from their own stock, made in house. After all the bad experiences on here I said I would never use them, but after seeing all their great products for the likes of the GTR etc and all the good feedback, I decided to take one for the tem and go for it, hoping things had changed. My experience in a nutshell: Ordered the bumper, turned up 2 days later - GREAT Then it went rapidly downhill. When I opened it: Damaged in 3 places Some of the fibreglass was so thin you could see light coming through Was not supplied in gel coat "ready to paint" as advertised Was not a finished product (lots of rough points, like it had just been pulled out the mould, packaged and shipped) No mounting points on the bumper (you would have to drill all the holes etc yourself) Fitment was horrendous (100% fitment guaranteed apparently) However, to be fair to KR customer service was great. After a quick phonecall they agreed a full refund incl. postage costs and arranged a courier to collect it and take it back. Albert was very apologetic and seemed genuinely annoyed that it was not a good product. He really wanted to make it better and send me a replacement, but after speaking to KaanW I got a new one from the same company he did, which was better in every way. Perfect finish, mesh included, mounting points all there, and fitment was as good as you are going to get. Yes it still needed a little work around the lights, but they will never be perfect being moulded copies. KR do some great products. Ther GTR guys love them. Unfortunately for me, that one bad product has caused me to not want to use them again.
  16. It's ok. One of my mates is letting me have a spare one from his MR2 so it's sorted. Cheers people
  17. The one I have has worn splines so it's at risk of failing. It's just gone to the garage to get the bodywork sorted and they are worried about it as there is no power steering as it's a non runner at the moment, so I need a new one. Has anyone got one?
  18. If you click on the link in Hecklers signature, all info you need is there
  19. Or, I have a set of rails for sale (shameless plug) unsure if they will fit recaros though. I need to measure the bolt positions.
  20. Sorry I noticed that, it shouldn't have been there. I had them up for £200 or best offer previously, but dropped the price to a solid £170. Evidently I forgot to delete the "best offer" part.
  21. There is a guide on internetwork.org.uk (Si's site) the guide is for a different style, but still useable. For Si's benefit as I have some pictures handy from my sale of a set of PCB's, they can look like this when done (potentially)
  22. The price advertised is the best price I can do on them. That's why they are advertised at that price. Any cheaper and I may as well keep them for when I eventually get new seats.
  23. If you can deal with it in a rattle can, pretty sure halfrauds can match it if you take something in for them to copy.
  24. I have a pair for sale. Unsure if they would fit speeds though, I'd need to check measurements for you. Would have to go as a pair though. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?328233-Seat-subframes-and-some-other-bits
