    Hi all, after a bit of assistance from all you North West Northerners. Looking to get a towing eye welded onto the front of my car and was hoping to get someone mobile who can do it whilst I have the bumper off to fit the front mount I/C. Just want to save the hassle of spending loads of extra time taking off and refitting the bumper at a body shop for the sake of 5 minutes worth of welding![ANGRY][/ANGRY] Can anyone recommend a good mobile welding service to use, preferably in East Lancs?

    Why not seal around the holes into the tailgate cavities with a bit of masking tape?

    Just looked at the eBay ad and it says FRP. Fibre Reinforced Plastic, not carbon? These guys also do the Carbon version at around the £1k price.

    This is true, but the one Paul sells is the full Carbon version, hence the higher price. Sure he would be able to get a non carbon one though if thats what the OP wants.

    Fairly basic thought from me. Have you checked that the mechanism is moving freely? Is the spring always returning? Not the pedal, the throttle body. What happens if you are stationary and hold the revs at 2k? Do they drop back or hold. Easy to check, so worth a look.

    Next mods now pending. Ordered an expansion tank for behind the headlight from John D on here. Picked up a Front Mount IC from Peter P yesterday at Silverstone. Got something special lined up with Mr Whiffin for the 28th that should make the car very, very different. Just need to find a mobile welder who can attach my front towing eye whilst I have the bumper off to fit the IC.

    See some photos from yesterday as promised. No 1 is a 3 wheel Supra!!! No2 & 3 show a double overtake on an Evo and a V8 powered Z3 Coupe. Note the Cerbera at the top of the pic. Steve got him too! No 4 - The car prepped and ready to go with its new white Rotas that look deceptively good. There is also a hint JGTC to the car now due to the slightly higher profile of the ex Porsche Cup Slicks compared the Toyos previously used. No 5 - an arty one for the sake of it! No 6 - That pesky Mosler.

    No quali today just the race at 4ish. Start position will be 10th as that was the finishing position yesterday. Wish I was there again today but unfortunately can't make it. Good luck Stevie, see if you can put it in the top 5 today!

    The snap off kit is a D1 kit, I think from Driftworks. The Boss kit is from Whifbitz.

    Best news was that in his spirited drive to 10th he had the 4th fastest lap time (excluding that Mosler!) Great drive Steve, glad to be of assistance today and good luck for tomorrow. Sorry I can't be there. Will get a few snaps up tomorrow of your overtakes and cocking rear wheel! Never seen a 3 wheel Supra go so fast.

    As far as time attack spec goes there is no requirement for a cage at the entry level club class. Have only ever seen full FIA approved jobs in the Club Pro and Pro classes. Interested in one of these myself. Thanks for the "heads up".
