You should have no issues on the insurance as you say. Years ago I parked in a hotel car park. The only space was next to large barn type doors leading to indoor parking. At the end of the day I returned to find the door had been bouncing off my car door and dented it quite badly. At first they tried to squirm out of it but got them on negligence and duty of care in the end. They paid up without going through insurance and I got a cheapie repair as was selling the car anyway and pocketed the difference. Not that I am suggesting you get a cheapie repair! Is it worth trying to get some extra for diminuation in value? It is a classic car after all.

Just picked at a corner until there was enough raised to grab hold of and gently peeled it off. Had been applied in 3 sections. After the bottom piece was off there was a lip to get hold of on the middle piece and the same with the top.

If they all keep going abroad there will be none left soon! Any replacement on the horizon?

Seems a very expensive option? Are you completing any other weight saving activities? If this is part of a full weight loss program then I understand. Might be worth checking out Whifbitz as Paul has a titanium version of one of his exhausts on his race car and I'm sure it will be price competitive with the HKS one. As for downpipe sizes, you will need someone with better Supra knowledge than me to answer that one.

Not meaning to hijack this thread, but I have removed the tint from my rear screen as it was starting to flake. It looks like the film had been on for many many years. The only problem I now have is how to remove the adhesive left behind. Have tried petrol, White spirit, tar remover and sticky stuff remover. 3 hours of work and only about 15% removed! At this rate I will just replace the rear screen! It also looks terrible at the moment. Can anyone shed light on the right stuff to use.

Welcome and good luck with the search. If you go for a TT it is a good idea to look for one with a Racelogic TC system in place if the STD one, or at least budget for one. Had mine for 2 months now and enjoying it loads!

Why not fit the towing eye on the intercooler side instead?

They are adjustable on the car so once fitted you can wind them up and down as required. If you are unsure you can get one of the specialists like Whifbitz to fit them for you and set the ride height you want.

Thanks Nic. Wasn't a backfire though. My description of a bang may have been inaccurate. More of a loud thud. Not had chance to call Mr Whifbitz today, might send him a text now.

Been perfectly fine since and no warning lights at the time so not too worried. Will call Whiffin tomorrow if no explanation by then.

Whilst out enjoying the sunny weather today suffered a strange incident. Not happened before. I have a TT6 which is BPU with a Greddy Profec II boost controller and a fcd. Anyway, in low boost setting, about 1.1 bar was pulling in 5th. 2nd tubby came in very late at just over 5000 rpm and at 5500(ish) there was a loud bang and loss of power. My first thought was I must have popped a hose somewhere. Everything seemed fine immediately afterwards so switched to high boost and did a pull in 3rd and all was just as manic as normal! Checked hoses and all seem as they should be. Limiter has also been removed so we can rule that out. Anyone shed any light on what might have caused this?

Suppose i will have to 2 then, one raw carbon and one body colour. Lol
