  1. As long as it's safe and secure then it will pass, it could be held in with elastic bands as long as it didn't move
  2. I haven't seen a 1jz mkiii come up for sale for a while in the UK. I would love one as I really do like the retro styling.
  3. Thanks it should give me relative quotes from different shippping companies even if it isn't the exact price.
  4. Agree with invoices to back up stamps but then invoices can also be faked unless you ring up the garage to verify and hope it's still there ! I do however disagree with the specialist servicing though in respect to routine servicing. There's nothing special about how to change the spark plugs, oil, coolant and filters on a supra so as long as quality parts are used and it is a competent mechanic it shouldn't matter where it is done.
  5. Thread tidied, unless you are enquiring or have something useful to add please don't spam for sale threads. This advert is in no way misleading, it is clearly stated which engine it has and it should be treated as any other car you might buy I.e read the description and ask questions.
  6. Whether it be in stamp form or a piece of paper / receipts I think it should matter, regardless of if it is a garage or you doing the servicing etc otherwise what proof is there that it's been looked after or regularly maintained ? All you would have is the word of the previous owner then what do you say when you want to sell it ?
  7. https://www.gov.uk/goods-sent-from-abroad/tax-and-duty £135 or less is no duty but you pay vat on anything over £15
  8. It's good to see there are other clean stock bodied examples still out there

Not that far from me I'm in chesterfield what kind of car are you looking for ? Stock or modified ? Manual or auto ? Import or UK ? Aerotop or hardtop ? Ballpark figure of what you are looking to spend ? This will obviously massively affect what you can realistically get.
  11. Depends how much the postage is as you don't pay duty on anything less than £135
  12. Anyone know the dimensions of a shock absorber so I can look at other shipping quotes more accurately.
  13. Fedex do and they quoted me £90, does this sound right ? I was hoping it wouldn't cost that much.
  14. Anyone know some reasonably priced shipping companies to get 2 packages 3.32kg each from Japan ? Two shock absorbers for a supra not 100% sure on dimensions.
  15. That used to belong to a member called robin don't know if they still have it ? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=1402
  16. Normal people would explain that they have considered the implications and that it is not going to be a problem, you know like Al did in the previous posts. Throwing your toys out of the pram just makes you look a bit silly, please refrain from swearing especially at the people who look after this place. Consider this a polite warning
  17. Abz is out there maybe he knows someone ?

Hi and welcome to the club ! Whereabouts in Derbyshire are you from ? What kind of budget have you got ?
  19. Lovely car but unfortunately no one is going to pay US prices over here in Blighty, think that works out over £42,000.
  20. Is it just the horns or the whole system ?
  21. I checked the flight paths online and most go over the bridge area unless i'm looking at it wrong ? I might have looked at the new proposed flight paths as I know there is a consultation going on about changing flight paths. I was just wondering really if anyone had even considered the proximity of the airport and in aviation terms what is classed as close ? I know there are a lot of traffic cameras along the bridge plus cameras watching the bridge structure and thought if one one these picked up a drone flying near the bridge it might raise cause for suspicion and a potential incident. I think it's best just to ask to make sure that this won't cause any problems especially with all the crap going off these days most people are on edge and always suspect the worst !!
