  1. Hope you got home alright in all that rain. We definately need to go with the idea of having an animal sticking out of the air intake even if it's just a stuffed toy lol. I'll see if I can get parked next to you tomorrow and we'll get a couple of pics done
  2. The vid connection for this at work is rubbish getting about a frame every 30 sec.
  3. From what I've been told the first they knew they were losing their jobs was when they got told to clear out their desks. This could be just hearsay though which is why I want to make sure I get the facts straight first. I sometimes wish we had a union where we are but then I remember what a pain in the butt they were with everything else. Thanks for the info both of you
  4. Thanks for that. The reason I'm jumping in is that the CEO was in a meeting with my department today and was was saying how we were sticking with the companies values and how proud he was at never having to say redundancy to people (hence why I thought he might not be aware of what is happening). Sounds like it could be just a loop hole that doesn't officially class it as redundancy.
  5. Done some research on the Gov website but cant find any info on this so some help would be handy. We've just had 7 people at work let go. Now a couple were on probation but some were coming up to a year in employment. Now how do those not on probation stand? The info on the Gov website only refered to 20-99 or 100+ being made redundent. Should there have been a consultancy period and 1 to 1 meetings? On top of that they have gotten rid of one lass and now found out that they actually need someone in the role she was doing and I beleive may be advertising for someone to fill that role. I was under the impression an employer could not do that? I have a sneaky feeling that the Exec team don't even know exactly what this middle manager bloke is doing so would like to get my facts together before I speak to our CEO / HR team.
  6. Belated happy birthday. Hope the weekends going great
  7. lol great. the way it looks round and realises it's been caught in the act
  8. 1. Not indicating 2. On a mobile while driving 3.Audi's and BMW's driving like prats.
  9. Just seems to me that the standard of driving is getting worse and worse. People just don't give a damn anymore. I think the kids have always drove round without a seatbelt. Prob takes thier first accident to make them buck up. No-one using thier indicators is the one that really drives me nuts followed closely by on the mobile. Had a good one the other day at Milton roundabout though. Lady in a convertable mini uses the inside lane of the sliproad off the A14 to undercut a load of traffic then barges her way in front of the car in front of me making him brake sharply and blast his horn. She actually stops the car so she can do hand signals at him then carries on driving. The best bit though was the fact that a lorry was in the wrong lane further round (but indicating that he needed to carry on round). Lady winds up being blocked off from the exit by this lorry and instead of carrying on round she stops the car on the roundabout, is leaning over shouting her head off at the lorry driver. I got bits of it on video but not clear enough to pass on to the police Had to laugh though
  10. I'm still waiting for a reply to my PM to Branners about camping and how to pay for it but I'm planning to be there with one of those little portable BBQs and a selection of meats and booze like last year
  11. Some were on the public streets. I'll see if I can dig up the news links. Edit: Here you go: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-isle-of-man-13678249
  12. With a death toll of 7 so far I'm rather glad I'm not there.
  13. It was this guy. Kept coming up with excuse after excuse as to why it hadn't turned up and in the end told me that the courier company had dropped something on it and cracked the sump. Gave me a full refund fast enough but by that point the car had been off the road a couple of months. I did ask about the pic as well and he confirmed it was definately a TT engine.
  14. Sounds like this one was just a security firm out to prove a point and get some publicity but still makes you wonder where it's going to end and if anywhere is safe.
  15. I have firmly decided if people can't be assed to get to cambrige for a meet that is actually local to me then I wont be going to anything other than Suprapod this year. Concidering the number of Supras around (and I'm refering mostly to Cambridgeshire here) I'm disapointed in lack of interest in getting together. Was the same for the show in Peterborough this weekend. I would have loved to have been there as a club stand but again....no interest.
  16. Well I was going to drag the kids I'll be baby sitting along with me (and possibly a dog) seeing as we were meeting at a family friendly pub. First meet at Cambridge I've known so no way do I want to miss it.
  17. I remember having to pay for camping last year. Wasn't fussed about the rain and loved it when the storm came across. Not heard back from Branners about the camping yet though.
  18. Looks great but I hope to god they get rid of that IW lobby system for the PC. It never worked right and didn't do sod all at stopping hacks.
  19. Yay good to hear. Hopefully they won't get rejected and it'll be a happy outcome.
  20. What the car or the lady
  21. All well and good but don't think much of the screen size.
