  1. i have a large greddy FMIC. i have no water temp issues. its only a street car i dont track it. if you are worried, possibly you could remove the air con radiator, as this is in between the FMIC and engine rad in regards to ducting, i think stock bumper is quite well designed, the bumper allows plenty of air at the FMIC, unless you refer to the little bits at the side to stop air blowing around it?
  2. think its more of a cost thing isnt it for big twins, and more complicated, i would prefer a single. 550-600BHP would be ample enough for me. i think!
  3. gauges would look odd there, either replace dash, or get it flocked as above. i have removed 2 dashboards before from prev cars, its a bit daunting at 1st, but there will be a guide on here somewhere, bet you could get it off in an hour or so max
  4. if you dont like it, there are 2 wires which go to the seatbel buckle, try cutting these. mine are cut. no issues. (i do have a Willans harness also though encase lol)
  5. great project lots of pics now please keeping the W58 box yea?

  7. hmm this has made me think, when you get a geo setup done, when they enter the vehicle, do they calibrate the car to the UK details? or japanese? i have an import, i imagined the settings were the same?
  8. better off asking ryan g on here, hodge has a aristo engine, maybe he would know too
  9. my hatch didnt open on my old car, i cant remember how or why, was something to do with the lock inside the boot, and coudnt get to it from inside the car as there was a huge sound system init all i did was drill the lock from outside then it just popped open.
  10. cam belt is the timing belt, you mean a timing belt and auxilary belt by the sounds, the auxilery belt is the one that goes outside the engine, around the water pump, alternater, crank pulley, power steering pump and air con.
  11. mitch, how long would you say, in hours, would you say youve spent on the engine/engine bay, ive been doing a little tidying and cleaning on mine, taken bloody ages, makes me think how long it must take you or hodge to make yours look as good as they do..
  12. everyone has red, there are a few polls on here what colours best. whatever colour you fancy really! dont have red though lol
  13. as long as you know how to control the slide its great its when your not in control, or the car "surprises" you its not pleasant. i have removed the fuse, so traction controll is always off though, as i like it fun
  14. as per my previous post, i have 9J all round, however tyres are wider on rear, i run 235 on the front, 255 on the rear
  15. i have 9J all round on mine, et25 dont really know what else to say regarding them, handles fine and looks ok, wish i had a ET12 now though, to stick out further
  16. as above there is a water hose that runs along the back of the engine, look closer where the water is coming from...
  17. i jumped my supra a few times last year, (in garage battery died due to non use) this is not a good idea then? (car in neutrol) ?
  18. will invest in a pololishing machine then wouldnt want to take the layer of paint off lol
  19. lol ok, for clarification, these are what i am refering to... polishing cloth machine angle grinder http://www.mr-skill.co.uk/wp/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/Mr-Skill-Makita-Angle-Grinder.jpg are the discs compatible with each other, or are they completly different types of machine/speeds etc
  20. just a thaught, i need to buff up my lights, and got some marks on mrs BMW, i have an angle grinder, can i just swap the cutting disc to a soft mop? or do you need a seperate machine with vairiable speeds etc, not sure if they are the same....

lots of people who have side skirts, have markes there, iirc its the door not lined up 100% and casuing damage to the skirt, or in your case the sill
  23. hi mate, it was actually your thread that inspired me! so geeky, its in my bookmarks lol http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?233857-Engine-bay-makeover um i just went to B&Q, it was about 8quid, high temp stove paint. i went for matt not metalic. i purchased it for my Greddy Intercooler and piping which i did the other week. i got a bit addicted to the transoframtion and wanted to do the turbo pipes was wondering why you chose to paint you turbo pipes, and have your manifold polished? would have either had them both polished or both painted. im a tight arse so painting both mine
