  1. Didn't want to start a new thread, but there was a guy (oemdude on supraforums.com.au) who was looking at getting these made up in Carbon Fibre - was wondering if there was anyone on here looking at doing the same?
  2. So no one knows where to get replacement bolsters and Recaro items from? Edit: actually, for some reason it is showing now... http://www.capitalseating.co.uk/productlist.asp?type=s&view=range&rid=61&mid=2 I'm guessing they'll be the correct ones for our Supras!
  3. Sorry to bump an old thread, but was hoping to find a link to the UK based company that sells spare parts for Recaro seats? Can't seem to locate them lately as I'm looking for replacement bolsters.
  4. Just wondering if this chart has been updated at any time? Seems there's a heap of 5 speed SZ's 1996 onwards (therefore S2) around for sale, which the chart doesn't reflect? http://j-spec.com.au/dealer/TOYOTA/SUPRA
  5. Forgot about this thread. Turned out my issue was a loose positive battery terminal. Go figure. Replaced with a nice aftermarket item, car runs like a dream.
  6. Makes me miss my '94 RZ in Black so badly!!! Though looking at the 2000 in RSP is so nice too... wish I could have both! PS. Made it my wallpaper on the laptop!
  7. A lot of people by-pass the fuel controller to run 12v here, can't remember why though. Will be interested to see how you go as I was going to to by-pass it in fault testing but never got around to it.
  8. Targa models do exist in Japan. I thought for a second this was the Aus forum when you mentioned NZ, though you would have copped a lot more over there then you did here really. There is a document on this forum, which shows you a PDF print of all the models and their differences (engine, gearbox, diff, interior etc.) which you should be checking first.

  10. Perfect, thanks DodgyRog! So I'm not missing a satchel with tools in it on the left? It's just an empty compartment for whatever someone would want to put in there? I'll try source one of those little black chocks! (If anyone has one for sale, let me know!)
  11. ToyoDIY may have a part number :-)
  12. It gets used here a lot for exterior panels and wheels.
  13. Here is mine out of a 2000 RZ. So what am I missing in comparison to you? Is there a small satchel on the RHS? I'm guessing all of my tools would have been in a satchel themselves on the LHS?
  14. I have a badge at home I stuck to my computer after taking it off of the car I can check for you. It says Supra though only. Are you looking for external dimensions only?
  15. If it does get the Soarer name - could the next gen Supra be based off of this chassis? 2015/2016 Supra may have a go ahead?
  16. That's harsh man haha I'd change them out as necessary. Doesn't take long if you have a jack, hoist or ramps. There is a pipe/valve setup that with a flick of a switch will either exit straight after the dump (before the first cat) or if you don't flick the switch, will travel through the whole exhaust. Though I don't see how this would benefit you any further if you are going to be inspected anyway.
  17. Smash the cat out and bolt back up or even smash it out and weld in a straight pipe through it so it looks like you have a cat in there? or do you guys get emission tested?
  18. Well, explains why I'm hitting 1bar then! haha

    Oem recaros

Someone in AU once found a guy in Germany that had original covers - paid a pretty penny though. Really though unless you find someone reproducing the cloth itself I would imagine it would be easier to have it retrimmed in a different cloth?
  20. Is there any wrap on the market that doesn't damage the paint underneath? Fair few cars here get wrapped and they seem to hold up well, could depend on brand/adhesive and stuff too?
  21. Not finished yet... this month probably sometime I'll have another session and finish it (if funds permit) - not in any rush anyway.
  22. Why is wrapping a waste? The wrap comes off, leaving the paintwork underneath perfect. Don't have to worry about chips, don't have to worry about marks or anything. If the car is to see track work, it's much better than damage + a respray.
  23. How is that crash enough to make it go to the breakers? Over here that'd be fixed pretty quick, damage looks light? I guess it could be different over in the UK?
  24. Well I spoke too soon!! Cut-out twice on me, this time only for a couple minutes though and the car started again no problem. Didn't have to wait 20 minutes like I did before, was only like 2-4min. So... hopefully getting a spare throttle body today (hopefully! From a '99 Aristo motor). Someone else mentioned to me that there is a pedal positioning sensor on the throttle body - could that be an issue? Anyway - in regard to the throttle override kit: http://www.supraforums.com.au/forum/a80-mkiv-discussion/83895-vvt-i-throttle-control-override-kit.html Heaps of pictures in there of what has to be done - I'm considering it.
