  1. I have a 2000 JDM RZ, recently the car died on me at random at low kms (sub 10km/hr) and wouldn't start for a good 20minutes (apparently could be coil packs??) Car has travelled 54,xxxkms (genuine) - and I tried running diagnostics. Diagnostic port under the dash (circular one, found out later it is disconnected LOL) bridged TC & E1 - my indicators flashed 15 times, nothing else, weird though seeing that port isn't connected?? Or maybe that meant code 78? OBDII connecter under the dash - haven't tried anything as don't have a diagram and ports aren't labelled. Diagnostic port in the engine bay - can't bridge TE1 & E1 (TE1 has no pin) so bridged TC & E1 (these have pins, and now reading this thread makes sense seeing it is VVT-i) - my "snow" flashed on the dash, and my "abs" light flashed. No other lights flashed. At random though sometimes the airbag light flashed. Maybe I accidently reset the ECU as initially I checked all the fuses thinking it was a fuse that was the problem hence no flashes? But why all the other random flashes? Spent a good few hours on it last night and annoying a guru with my questions and still couldn't figure it out.
  2. Liking this for you now Si, interested in other items you produce so once Uni is over and I'm on break I'll have a gander through everything! Cheers, Paul
  3. Fantastic! Mate, I'll PM you in the morning and discuss. Thanks for the replies guys.
  4. Downloading all of them now for future. Cheers for the link!
  5. Used to be on eBay and on these forums and the AU forums - believe the username was "blueangel" - says he is now banned though... what happened? http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?201772-Carbon-style-rear-lights Basically a fair few peeps are interested in running a GB for these lights... anyone else make them? Got wiring guides in case we can do some DIY and make some up ourselves? Apologies for the hassle and for bringing this stuff back from the dead and all. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, Paul
  6. Thanks, will give it a shot!
  7. Would it be possible to pin point this on a photo? Sorry for such a silly response, but I honestly have a bucketload to learn about cars. Are you talking about the area where there is a harmonic balancer? Ie, as per this photo: Here is a shot of the engine bay, just in case.
  8. Have you got an example I can look at? I don't want to risk buying a part and I buy the wrong one, which in my experience, is bound to happen. lol
  9. Thanks man! I will have to check it out, unfortunately here in Aus, if Toyota can even get the parts they are highly expensive. You would not happen to have a part number or a list of part numbers for future reference? I will then try source a new set.
  10. Here is another video guys, took it last night. Just in case you hear something else.
  11. I have one, and I think it is the best phone out.
  12. Cheers for the replies guys. Kinda sounds more from the top of the engine than anywhere else. I don't know what an AUX Belt Tensioner is, but I will do some research.
  13. Cheers man! Yeah the rear wheels I can barely fit a finger between the guard and the tyre. 40 profile tyres. This one was imported in March 2009 last year. I bought this, the week after I posted this thread lol. 2nd owner in Australia. The guy I bought it off brings Supras in all the time, he never buys at Auction, he has a mate living in Japan who buys privately and sends them over. 16th Dec 2009.
  14. I will look into this, seems like a good idea.
  15. Well, here she is: '95 RZ Toyota Supra 6 Spd Manual Twin Turbo ARC Inflow Box HKS SuperDragger Turbo-back Exhaust Tanabe SSR SP-1 Professors. 18". 275 rear. And I just bought an "active spoiler" to be fitted in a week or two, and Series II indicators for the front. Turbo badge has also been removed.
  16. I have two videos, car has recently started to make weird noises again, I thought it was the Power Steering but it is full up with liquid like it should be so can't be that? Anyone know what the sound is? I have to fix the starter motor (its failing - the contacts and plunger - got a how-to) but it shouldn't be anything to do with that? Anyway, let me know what you think. Before driving: After driving: Kinda a weird ticking sound, you can hear it after the throttle is pushed better than when it isn't, but it was there constantly. Any ideas/comments/help would be greatly appreciated.
  17. I had a look at that already. I think best bet would be a gearbox conversion. An importer here in Aus is going to have a look around for me to see what Supra he can find as well, just in case.
  18. Well, I might just have to get the Auto here in Aus and then look at converting down the track, I am sure I can find a shop around here that can do it. I am not sure about the importing side, mainly because I have never done it before (though I know people that do it all the time) so I gotta weigh up the options at the moment. Thanks for all the help though guys, so after all this, I am left with the SZ-R Aero-top as the only option then? There are a few for sale over here going cheap so I will have a look around. Edit: Just saw Jurgen's site with some of the Ab-Flug cars, jesus! I never thought you could get one out of Japan before, I gotta get in touch with him!
  19. Was there a Supra that came out with a 5 speed manual (non turbo, single or twin) with aero-top? Would a conversion there be easier? Also, in regard to Jurgen, where does he look? And how does a deal get set-up? Is it like through an Importation company?
  20. Well, I prefer manual driving in general, I want to feel the control of the car, and be also involved in the driving experience. I wouldn't mind converting to a single turbo, but at first I want the exact car I want, then look at options. How hard is it to convert an auto to a manual? If I decide to buy in Australia, it would be great, if I have to import, I will, but I really want an Aero-Top, you know? Otherwise I might just have to stick to an auto, but then I would love to convert it to Manual, or, would it be possible to have a Supra coupe converted to an Aero-top? Being in Aus, we tend to get a lot of imports, would Japan have had a lot of Auto conversions to Manual 6 speed? Cheers, Paul
  21. Hey everyone, New here, but figured the best place to ask advice about a Supra is to go to a Supra forum. I am looking for a Twin Turbo, 6 Speed Manual, Aero-top Supra (I am in Australia) but just wondering what everyone thinks is the best one to choose from, I wouldn't mind having some good factory specs. I have always wanted to buy a Supra, and now it seems like the perfect opportunity for me to do so. Price is not an issue in my opinion because if it is the perfect one for me, it will be the right price. I have been checking car sale websites but nothing popping up at the moment (or the Aero-top is an automatic - which I do not want). Cheers, shifted Edit: Is a 6 speed manual Aero-top possible? Or do you have to convert Auto to Manual, how hard would that be?
