  1. That was my problem I was buying for most likely one use however all other attempts had failed and I put on a wanted ad to borrow one but apparently nobody on the forum has one. They are heavy aswell so by the time you pay postage or travel costs+ a tip for said person who borrows you the tool your pretty much half way there to buying your own. I spent hours trying to make my own tool to no avail as it just bent the bolts. Just bite the bullet and buy one you can always sell it after and take a small hit which you could consider rental.

    New Top Gear

My eyes are still burning from this shit
  3. ^ that's where I got it in the end aswell Toyota wanted £300 for it I shit you not... The one I made just bent the m8 bolts as there is no support for them into the crank pulley face where as the Toyota tool has support for the two bolts.
  4. Just done mine a few month ago on an Auto the crank bolt was new last year when I did the timing belt oil pump/etc and it wouldn't budge this time with the "starter motor trick" I torqued the bolt up to exact spec last year aswell so no overtightening to blame. The locking tool really is magic these self made ones I keep seeing are trash in comparison.
  5. Toyota locking tool+ breaker bar+Scaffold pole+ heavy set strong assistant= success
  6. Forget the Supra get down to your local reputable Strip club..
  7. Yep chuck it in the garage on axle stands and forget for a while..
  8. Depends how much money you have in it.
  9. Good for car boffins to talk about in the pub but once out of warranty it would be a constant worry.
  10. If you look at page two of my build thread the pictures of how to install are all there..........
  11. They come with instructions from whifbitz did you not get any?
  12. I have been looking at the 435d coupe as I now have a company allowance what did the 335d come in at how much deposit did you put down and whats the monthly cost? the quote thing does not tell you. also what mileage have you put down with regard to your monthly cost?

    Values Up!

    It looks carbon skinned?
  14. Come on one of you must have one of these lying around...
  15. As was I Jurgen imported the car and fitted a new Whifbitz Full BPU kit including the Greddy B Profec spec 2. They are really simple to set up its just time consuming to do right then all it takes is a different temprature to throw of your settings.
  16. You set it up by feel there really isn't any settings that are universal. I set my alarm at 1.30 on cold nights it regularly sets this off on switchover Other than that start with your SET and adjust it up until the boost you desire is reached. You may find the boost drops off at certain revs this is where the gain setting comes in increase that until you get stable desired boost. You may also fine that on switchover you register a spike in boost it will register in the BC peak boost so you can flick through and see it I know of a few members in the north east that regularly hit 1.4-1.5bar on J-Spec switchover. The consensus I came too was not very many people read and understand the Greddy controllers setup they just hit 1.2 bar and forget but the gain feature is night and day if set up correctly.
  17. Yes autos are 100amp What are you doing like buying a new unit? Is your old one Seized?
  18. Has anyone got this pipe lying around in good condition its heater duct 5 as you can see in the picture I have circled it in RED it connects to the pipe I have arrowed that sits behind the airbag or upper glovebox on pre facelifts. Obviously its for a Right Hand Drive not LHD thats just the only diagram I could find.
  19. they are the same as the greddy ones IIRC Google it and you will see the guide my laptop is about to die so I cant help any further
  20. Yep all covers scratch I use a valet style wafer thin plastic cover that weighs nothing every winter but the car is stored in a heated garage
  21. You won't need any heat unless some moron has Loctited the bolt in. I just did mine and I have the proper locking tool and a decent Snap on breaker bar and that was bending on its own I bought a scaffold type pole and that was still a chew to get the bolt out.
  22. Haha that thing is strangely easy on the eyes I like it.. Like a mini Volvo.
