  1. What brand of Smic you running?
  2. This will probably require the 12 volt systems cars have to be upgraded to provide for the charger adding complexity and weight at a guess. I'm sure Chris Wilson posted a link like this a few years ago that we were all interested in seeing developed but this is the first I have seen come of it. Would you lot be interested in this or would benefits be minimal in reality and only any good for track cars?
  3. Also SRD or Whifbitz can supply FMIC with the correct pipe to fit a standard UK/VVTI airbox and pipework. You could just stick a SMIC on there to make your life easier if that interests you?
  4. Yes UK spec and VVTI are different air boxes.

    Service costs

£200-£300 plus your parts Garages around here vary quite allot on their per hour charge.
  6. Stupid mini roundabouts everywhere and nobody knows how to use them...

    Service costs

A couple of hundred £ I would think a garage would charge labour plus parts which will depend on what you want to use. All of the above jobs are simple things to do and I personally would sort myself as I don't trust other people
  8. I have had my Heckler made front lights fitted for a while now and I seem to have allot of trouble with people not being able to see the indicators working during the day do any of you lot get hassle for this. It's a daily occurrence that I'm getting abuse for not indicating when they are clearly on and working I was warned by my MOT station that they were probably no good during the day. Any of you lot have this problem or just me? This is not a dig at anyone I'm just seeing how they are for anyone else with them fitted...
  9. Very easy... I hate throwing things away haha
  10. I just want America to be great again.... Although I do feel like Clinton will start world war 3 with Putin. On the flip side my impression of trump whilst he may not have the experience in politics his intentions seem more focused towards a more open traded and business friendly United States,he also seems more capable of mending ties with Russia instead of all the crappy war tit for tat posturing. An Asshole maybe.. good for business rather than war more than likely. There is something shady about Clinton that we are not being told.
  11. It's a Supra thing I changed my boot rubbers and put a drop of grease on the hinges however our bumpy roads overcome and thus the squeaking continues also stiffer suspension makes it worse. I have also noticed under certain circumstances multi story car park ramps etc the car boot creaks as the car flexs about over uneven surfaces. Chris Wilson was right about how floppy the body structure of a Supra can be In standard form
  12. I actually wore a set of Marigolds I was that anxious about touching the board haha
  13. Well then gents I have de soldered the old popped capacitors as seen below. I popped the Maplins and bought some new ones for the grand total of £1.23 got home soldered the new units in and reassembled and as you can see it was a great success. I love the Internet..
  14. Glorious This forum was worth the original £30 it's the gift that keeps giving.
  15. I don't have to worry about getting an electric shock do I mate? It's been unplugged for more than 24 hours. Should I be wearing rubber or latex gloves?
  16. Hi guys I have a Samsung 42 Inch Plasma tv Model:PS42A457P1D which I have had since 2008 however it has recently stopped turning on. For any of you into this sort of thing you will probably of heard that Samsung Plasma screens from around this year suffered manufacturing issues with the on board power supply more specifically a few capacitors. Moving on I have removed the rear cover which to no surprise shows the offending bulging capacitors on the power board pictured below. Now I understand the capacitors are only a few £ and it is apparently as simple as de soldering the old ones and soldering in the new ones however I'm just looking for some clarification... Am I ok to remove the power board and de solder these capacitors or are some parts still live? The TV has not been plugged in for over 24 hours.
