I read not to long ago (but cannot find), a thread involving an argument about 95' and earlier cars having relaxed UK emissions tests, where they don't need to use the cats or something along those lines. Is this the case or just urban myth? And also from what i have been reading, do all 1996 and onwards facelift cars have the vvti engine and are there any other mechanical differences that make is harder to build a facelift single? Hopefully i can get these answered as it will in effect decide what model i buy.

The spectrum of beliefs is narrow (almost all Christianity) but not the people, i would go as far to say i have probably come into contact with religion in situations more varied than yours because of my line work. That if they believe in science and its concepts then to me it just looks as though they have taken this stance on Pascal's wager. If I am wrong about his existence it won't matter as I am dead, however if he does exist then i was correct in not disowning him. (So I have covered my back just incase the worst should happen). All depends on what kind of god you believe in i suppose, i can't imagine it washing well with Yahweh or any creationist belief though. This is the sort of inter religious conflicts i was speaking of. I will try and have a look at that. I would probably still like organised religion to die; loudly or quietly (i am not fussy), but of the religious and non religious around me i would definitely say that neither does more nor less for the community than the other, neither is more nor less helpful to me. Yes that is what war is really about. But religion is always there somewhere. Now its the war on terrorism, we must stop these religious extremists etc etc. We all know why this country is really there. I didn't say there wouldn't be, but the world has tried religion for a few thousand years. Try an atheism U-turn. But fundamentally if it is as you say it is then God will eventually judge you and I. So if homosexuality is wrong then he/she/it will judge. My problem is that religion doesn't stop with the judgment of god, it encroaches into mans own laws, but god did not write the laws of man. Dawkins talks about the beauty of an evolving world, something that happens as we type but then beauty is most certainly in the eyes of the beholder, i cannot entertain the idea that beauty cannot exist without god. God didn't create the Supra, man did! And i have heard many a religious person say that. But i only have to ask my 18 year old friend who has had cancer for 3 years why he has suffered so greatly and all rapist and child molesters don't suffer his affliction? But let's say that god was absent/non-existent, would you commit robbery,murder and rape? If no, then where did your sense of moral righteousness come from exactly? For this last part my personal opinion falls on this. Life is as wonderful and meaningful as you choose to make it and what makes it so sweet is that it will never happen again. Let us say that there is a god. What exactly makes you so decorous that you can assume that a higher entity such as a god should entertain and grant immortality to you? We are bottom dwellers looking to understand why we are here, and if we were all religious we would look no further than the sacred texts that billions adorn. Perhaps one day science will find the answers we seek during ones lifetime but religion will only answer them after i am dead.

He doesn't actually just focus on the extreme and admits himself that you cannot 100% disprove the existence of a god, but by weighing up the for and against you would most likely conclude there is no god. (I am not a Dawkins groupie by the way ) The world is better with science interpreting it but to me just believing in Jesus origin,teachings,existence of god is fairly liberal attitude towards the bible. It looks to me like this hypothetical person would readily absorb scientific fact, but i suspect it would always be in the shadow ofPascal's wager. Well the Korean war has more to do with the interests of the USSR and the USA, one occupying the north the other the south. WWII didn't start as a religious war but Mr. Hitler did use it to rally his cause even though privately he seems to have been atheist. But i do agree there is definitely room for secular beliefs to start conflict. Have you read 'The God Delusion'? I don't think its particularly biased but it is very good at rationalizing religion. And just as a matter of curiosity, what side of the fence are you on, or are you just standing up for quieter voice?

I was just trying to keep it brief but will be more specific in saying that science actively seeks answers to these questions where as religion just stops, personally i think that is ignorant. As a quick example use the bibles account of the age of the Earth and science using its carbon dating we can see a clear conflict of interests. When i spoke of religious corruption it was aimed at..."Seeing any sort of spiritual value to life is the enemy of profit, because a planet full of spiritually fulfilled people wouldn't buy any 'stuff'" But my point was people would not be spiritually fulfilled,and the church found that gap in the market and offered solace for cash.(Sorry i don't post much so i don't know how to multi-quote). 30 million is a drop in the bucket globally, but nationally that is a good percentage, and from i country that is pretty unstable at the best of times. Would you not agree that with the advent of increased scientific knowledge the two simply do not meet? Science will give us answers based on fact where as religion gives us answers because a book told us that is the way it is. Correct about the market forces telling us to be debt laden but look again at the church. It used to sell 'indulgences' which were signed certificates paid for which reduced the amount of days spent in purgatory. So the church can tell god just how many days hes allowed to keep us there? It has to be one of the,if not the best scam of all time. Richard Dawkins does shows and gets ridiculed for them too,for example. Root of all Evil? he was criticized for picking the most extreme Christians. This shocked British audiences with its views of Pastor Ted Haggard (Colorado). But he was worryingly right in portraying him as the norm because he is the president of the 30 million strong National association of Evangelicals and proclaims to have been an adviser to the fantastic president George W.Bush. Ultimately, I think the simple reason is that the 'Bible belt' isn't in charge of programming. Advertisers are, and celebrities are walking billboards for their brands. So the people who make the decisions on what we watch aren't religious? I just think America has as many hypocrisies as the bible itself, the men at the top control popular culture which controls the people. I understand what you are saying but morals and respect do not come from religion, it is taught. Yes we have shallow TV, but is that the result of a religion free world? Most of this celebrity TV is a product of America which is supposed to be quite religious.

Why is it that religion is granted such respect, nothing based on fact and force fed to children. Try to reason the other side of the story to the religious mind and you receive bitter angst. If everyone ever thought "This is not explainable, god must have created it", nobody would even bother to answer any questions because an ancient book,rewritten many times to suit the current needs of the ruling man has answered it for them. Religion equals death, oppression of women, oppression of thought and a never ending list of control.

Well i would say its no more beautiful than many other places i have been about the country (St. Micheal's mount in Marazion is an exception), but the aforementioned would sour my visit. Correct about the A30, and it has some very nice long straights too!

Yes it looks nice and it certainly is well priced. Considering its mileage and mods its seems a tad too well priced, thats why i was hoping someone on here could give me some more info.
