    What a weekend.

Good times! I spent the weekend spraying my new spoiler - would have been better, given the weather, to have been driving but it's difficult to do in London. Maybe next weekend, eh...?

Red, I reckon, rather than blue - that looks good with black cars. The purple idea that's been floated would look good, too and a bit different.
  3. Don't the vents just follow the lines of the stock bonnet reinforcing struts? I'm not anywhere near my car right now to check, so no abuse please if I'm wrong...!
  4. Yeah. As said. You've paid at the agreed price and it's not your fault the supplier has put the price up. You could successfully argue the toss about this, especially seeing as this company's customer service seems a bit below par as it is...
  5. As well as being dodgy, it really just seems like making more work than is necessary. Re-designing and then re-making an entire braking system? Or bolting on new wheels? Mmm...
  6. R8 V10, perhaps? Aston would be the way to go for me for the money, too. Gorgeous.
  7. Mmm... Looks just like a front bumper, really, doesn't it?
  8. Pretty? No. Fair enough. But purposeful? Aggressive? Chunky? Oh yes! The Porsche is just... nothing. You see so many of them that they sort of blend into the background.
  9. Looking good. Will be ace in a deep, wet-look red. Good work!

Ha ha! Agreed. Hello, anyway and welcome to the Supra fold. Good luck with the hunt.
  11. I'd drop the front about an inch. Should still be practical for speed bumps, too... Maybe.
  12. Just to clear it up, I totally agree with all of these sentiments - I wasn't influenced by any anti-Veilside-ism from anyone here, but rather simply decided that practicality was better than big! I still really like the overstated look of the Veilside spoiler and it's a shame I never got around to getting it sprayed (money issues, you know how it is...). The TRD spoiler was always on the cards, anyway, but the Veilside came up at the right price first. Of course, the major advantage of the 1/2 carbon TRD spoiler is that I've been able to spray the struts myself rather than pay a body shop to do it for me like I would have had to with the Veilside. The top coat is on now and the lacquer will follow after a good rub down tomorrow. Final fitted pics, hopefully, on Tuesday! Nah, it's ace! I love the skirts, too...
  13. I wish this had come up a couple of weeks ago when I was staring at the increase in my bank balance and looking for stuff to spend it on! I'd have had these in a shot. Shame...
  14. Mmm... Sounds a bit dodgy to me, but then I don't claim to be an expert. I'd personally prefer the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing my brakes and everything to do with them are made from one piece, you know? BTW, please no one get anal about that statement - I know there are lots of bits, but you know what I mean!
  15. I haven't driven a single turbo'd Supra (one day...!), but the TT BPU is an insanely quick car. You just never get bored of the pace and the temptation to "drive it like you stole it" is a constant accompaniment to any trip! Not that I endorse that kind of stuff, of course... Anyway... My ten pence. Enjoy the hunt!
  16. My missus' Ford Focus does this - no one's been able to come up with a reason why, yet. I realise that's no help at all, but if you do find out, be sure to let us know!
  17. So, after all the to-ing and fro-ing about my Veilside spoiler, in the end I never got around to painting it and have now actually decided to go for a TRD one instead. Funny how plans change... I still really like the Veilside one, but the TRD is probably more practical - I get the distinct impression that the design is a case of form following function rather than Veilside's thing of just making their part bigger (!). I went for the 1/2 carbon TRD spoiler and the first coat of primer is on the "struts" as I type. The silver's going on tomorrow. For now, some test fit pics. More to follow!
  18. Back in the day when I thought I'd be able to get my car with a Do-Luck front over speed bumps in London (uh, you can't...), I intended to go for black in the centre. Looks uber-smart, to my mind. Go for it!
  19. Hello! Good luck finding a decent faster Supra! Alrighty then...
  20. Well done on the win. How the hell do you keep that white interior so... white?! I'm guessing lots of cleaning and not as much driving!
  21. I would always say that it's best to save up and get the very best part(s) to fit to your car, especially something as special as a Supra, otherwise you're just going to end up possibly spending the money twice if you decide to upgrade again in the future. If you can afford to put aside £500 a month for your car, why not wait 3 months and get a nice set of Tein Mono Flex (picture here)? Or wait another month still and get the same with EDFC (picture here)? This all depends on what "look" you want to achieve balanced with how practical you need your car to remain (for speed bumps, etc). With 18s and Mono Flex coilovers, I went for a 25mm drop at the front and about a 5mm drop at the rear so I could actually drive further than 15' in our nation's fair capital. Still looks mean, adds a touch of "rake" to the stance and is as practical as a Supra is ever going to be!
  22. Oh, please God, NO!! Mine would be (currently) the whole of the Symbol of Salvation album by Armored Saint, or Death Magnetic by Metallica. Enduring individual song-wise, it's got to be Wasted Years by Iron Maiden.
