  1. I'm going to tidy up my White Supra before the TSS starts up again next year, just looking for some opinions on some colour choices. Car currently looks like this - I've been thinking about a 'loud' colour on the wheels, possibly Red. Found a picture of the below Porsche and I quite like the look.. The calipers I've got to go on are Red. I'm not sure what colour to have the inserts on the lights done when I have them refurbished (silver, grey, red?).. I think the spoiler will be going back on too. Opinions?
  2. Have you made any findings to allow for more lock Gav?
  3. My Maybe is a 95% Yes, if that helps. I need to find out how healthy this engine is..
  4. Well, that's the Toyota Sprint Series finished for the year. Last event was at Teesside circuit, in the dark (Results). There were 3 practice runs in the light, however it was raining and the track was VERY slippy - I span on at least one of those runs while taking it very easy. The rain stopped before it got completely dark, and gave some hope that the track would dry out before the day was over. We had a thirty minute stop before the timed runs would start. Darkness showed up just how bad my headlights were. Full beam was roughly equivalent to dipped beam on Craig's Celica. Run times were - 1. 62.93 - Very wet track, and my first run in the dark 2. 62.07 - Still finding my way around, but an improvement 3. 62.56 - Got a little bit sketchy exiting the last chicane 4. 59.98 - Under a minute! 5. 60.53 - Made a mistake somewhere.. 6. 64.78 - Span on entering the last chicane, which was actually the grippy part Somewhere around here a Celica ended up in the tyre wall just after the last chicane, so we had quite a long break.. Celica was rescued, luckily with minimal damage, and runs continued - 7. 59.00 - The track was finally starting to dry up, and I could actually feel what the car was doing. Coming out of the last corner sideways was.. interesting.. but I was really glad with the 59s run! Aim for the last run was to hit the 58's. 8. 57.87 - I decided it was time to do some trailbraking (which I'm not used to yet), and entered several corners a fair bit faster than before. It paid off! I was almost in disbelief at seeing such a huge improvement.. Unfortunately 57.87 was only good enough for 4th in class (out of 4). However as I was running road tyres, and my car is essentially stock (bar the stripped interior), I was very happy just to be within a few seconds of the others. Sprinting in the dark was excellent fun, and I can't wait to do it again! Aim for 2010 is to get closer to Jeff Lotts, who was the class winner, and to take a win at one event.
  5. It's one hell of a lot easier to navigate than the Microsoft website!
  6. I never said it was engaged, got through fine.
  7. 0300 123 4321 I have just rung it to test.
  8. Special Delivery should still get through, but it's rather expensive now.
  9. How unfortunate that you don't have the game.
  10. Looks quite sensible for a buyer's guide, though the auto has picked up another gear somewhere.
  11. I might have to pick this up (and a black Xbox). I used to play Forza 2 online with the simulation settings, brilliant fun with the right competitors!

    30th Weekend

I don't think I'll be doing any more track events this year, too many things to do. Have a good one though.
  13. Pull your thumb out and get it sorted Dave.
  14. I can do any of those three at the minute.. think the poll needs to become multi-choice.
  15. They didn't seem to be fitted to the Zeus, do you need some double sided sticky tape?
  16. I'll see what I can get for you next time I'm in halfords Chris.
  17. I'm a maybe, need to see a date.
  18. I'm going to stay at Steve's overnight Dnk, saves me the extra drive on Sat morning. See you there?
  19. If I go to Steve's tomorrow night it will also be rather late, I asked him if that's acceptable but I'm quite happy to drive over in the morning.
  20. T.W.Tyres, Paynes Lane 11, CV21 2UH, Rugby - 01788 542292. I used them to have the original set fitted, which I bought from mytyres.co.uk. Very friendly service, but horrible tea (though it is free!).
  21. Thanks Dunk. I've just managed to sort something with a local supplier, £107.95 fitted, they should have it before 4pm tomorrow.
  22. Dunlop Sport Maxx 235/45/ZR17. I have a pinhole puncture right on the edge which I was advised may cause the tyre to explode when it gets hot.. won't be taking that around Anglesey! My local place has them on order but don't know when they'll be in, trying to find one for tomorrow morning.
  23. I have no idea Dnk, Steve may be able to answer that. I'm currently on a hunt for a replacement tyre, one of my 3 month old Sport Maxx's has picked up a puncture and it's not repairable..
