  1. Had a crash this morning. Back end spun around on the exit of roundabout and did 2 360's and hit white van and was pushed onto the central reservation. In short front quarter panel is damaged as is front bumper and headlight etc. The main problem would appear to be the rear which on inspection looks untouched, but the alloy and tyre are bent. In short, Budget, underwritten by Fortis reckon it will be written off!!!! - Surely this car can be saved and have insisted that an engineer inspect and report back as to the costs. In short it was my mistake as i lost control (traction was off - which was my mistake). I am thinking take the money which i would assume to be £5k plus (It's a UK TT Auto with SH and 135k on clock on an Aug 93 plate) and perhaps buy back to either see if i can repair or sell as parts? What do you think it is worth and should haggle on..........such a shame as it's a lovely unmolested UK Spec and there aren't many left!!!!!!!!!!![sAD][/sAD] PS on inspection when it was towed away, there does not appear to be any underneath damage, although until it is inspected you never know.. I do not have pictures as it's at insurers garage, but do have a few on camera phone, but you can't really see the damage that well - it really ain't that bad, but i suppose the issue is always cost/value, and not the fact that it's a car that has nearly exinguished from History!!!
  2. Well looks as though another Chav Supra owner then!!!!!!! Why do people ask such stupid questions - do a simple search and find out the times yourself C&D said 0-60 in 4.6 and the Toyota Book says 0-60 in 4.9 and 155 restricted, with possible 180mph delimited. In other words it will rape a Calibre and be a move upwards
  3. Rock back and forwards when driving it will shave 1 second of your 60 time and add 20mph to top end. Also, just make the wooossshhhhhh noise to the 13 year old girls out the window......impressive stuff
  4. Not manual, might get a dog of Jspec Auto for under £5k with 100k plus
  5. There's adding bits to improve the car within reason and then there is putting a chimney on your car and so on..........
  6. Yes I believe Chav's do drive Supra's A 15 year old car, whilst it looks the doggies, is unfortutantely now within reach of most burger flipping oiks. The only savour is that the Insurance /Petrol and service costs, keep ownership to elite chav's, but chav's nonetheless.
  7. In my opinion the UK spec is a better car, leather interior ect / turbo bonnet and bigger brakes all as standard make it a better buy, just harder to get hold of and at a premium. A decent UK model will be/is a collectible
  8. And the brakes and indeed the BHP. The manual of a Jspec says 280 and just because there is a gentlemens agreement doesn't dictate otherwise
  9. Uk's are the better ones but hard to find, but J Spec's are ok, if you can get over the plastic fogging lights and the tiny brakes and less horsepower
  10. Young Kid walking past the TT with his Dad, Son goes corr bloddy hell we were driving that last night on gran Turismo. Dad say's yes, shall I buy one for real and the kid wet his pants!
  11. My Fiance's nice always said, please please can we go out in the rockett ship today!!
  12. Anyone recommend a Company in the North Essex Area? Looked around on the internet and a few Co's, but anyone with any experience or recommendations? Thanks Steve

  15. Greg sorry to hear that. I went through a stange period when i was in my early 20's i felt so ill and had aches pains all over my body and couldn't get out of bed. The doctors could find nothing wrong and i was put on Prozac and told i had a mild version of ME and had POST VIRAL FATIGUE SYNDROME. I became serioulsy depressed and that's why i was put on prozac, in 6 months i was back on my feet, but even 15 years on i still get days when for no reason i get tired. Hope they find out what your problem is. Kind Regards
  16. I saw Evo's stat's and they are for a 1989 (even though it is supposed to be Mark 4 figures) Turbo Supra not TT 1993 onwards - Official figures from Mr Supra are for UK Spec 4.9 manual to 60 and 5.6 auto. As for worrying about Fords and Renaults- are you sure you drive a Twin Turbo!
  17. Sorry but part history, is part history. You have to take that at face value, could be 260k on the clock and only an inspection would hint otherwise. I would have expected anyone trying to sell a UK would have a pretty good idea of what's worth, ESPECIALLY, if it's an A1 example
  18. As i said, 'am i missing something here'? The answer was yes FWD against 4wd
  19. Am I missing something here, the Escort Cossie beats that and it's as old as a Supra!
  20. But i have just read that changing up in manual before you hit the redline, means that whilst it will still go to the redline, (if flooring it) it changes up gear quicker!
  21. One thing that does bug me is that if you give it some beans off the line. If i am manual in mode, with OD off and power brake to say 2,000rpm and let go in ''L'' and then try and change up to 2nd at say 5,500 rpm it won't let me it just goes to the redline each time? (Mind you my foot is to the floor/it does change up if it's not to the floor, so i guess the management system is saying you want more then to the redline you go!) I would have thought power peaked at 6,000rpm and therefore changing up at that time and not letting it redline would make for faster times. But it does not let you!!!!!
  22. Mine is a UK one to, they don't change up
  23. How about a race up and down the seafront. Sorry, just kidding
  24. We had a bit of a race and the UK TT proved it has just that little more poke:eyebrows:
