  1. Nice to me all the gents and ladies on Saturday good little turn out. Will be going to JAE for sure
  2. So looks as though 4 soops so far then and a few others possibly in different cars. See you there!
  3. So how many have we got gents or poss ladies? Looks as though the weather is going to be fine tomorrow evening, so will be giving the old girl a scrub and the Soop too So is it 7.30pm Sat in Tesco's then?
  4. Sweet motor you have there Daman - Have to say sutle, but classy. If ever i was going to tamper with the UK Spec I have , wouldn't be far off what you've done there.
  5. Tescos next to RBS? 7.30 I will be there
  6. What time you thinking of, might well come down as in Basildon that weekend.
  7. bought - 11/2007 year - 1993 model - Auto TT mods - None totally stock condition - Good import/uk - UK Miles - 123k colour - Silver price - £5995
  8. With the extra 40 odd BHP UK Spec it puts alot more strain on the tyre, but even with that i reckon 20,000 should be on the cards for the current set;)
  9. 9,000 and loads of tread left in mine (TT UK Auto), must be the UK Spec being the best and all that
  10. KarmaMan reading this brought back a similar memory i had not too long ago. One minute everything was fine and then the next i had a text saying she didn't want to see me no more. She wouldn't talk to me or anything and i found out later she went back to an ex. The problem is you will stay awake at night pyschoanalysing everything and thinking that you did something wrong. Trust me, you sound like a decent lad and the chances are you have grown apart (her side) and you need to show you're head strong. I Guarantee to you that in around 6 months or so, you'll look back at this post, with a beatuiful lady in tow and will be laughing. Chin up, after all you own a Supra!
  11. I think the uk spec manual says 30 plus odd for rural driving at 56mph, but i think that's optimistic unless you drive on cruise and don't touch the pedal!
  12. 350-380 to a tank when driving conservatively. 200 when flooring it
  13. Yes but being a pen pusher i don't know my ar se from my elbow when it comes to getting into an engine unfortunately, although i could learn i suppose and get the manual out!
  14. Paid £655 for full service and new front discs and brake pads, (also needed the calipers to be re-hauled as they were in a bit of a state by the sounds of it) the only thing i feel that needs doing for peace of mind is cambelt change. The car is only average mileage for a 93 Stock UK Auto TT (131k) and is in pretty decent nick, i had a minor service when i bought it in Nov and decided it needed a full service. As suggested for peace of mind i will have the belt changed and have the money set aside for this also. PS what is diy the car. (do it yourself?)
  15. But he said it was also a pain to check and replace - think he just can't be bothered!
  16. I have just had (so called!!!) major service and have had to have new front discs and Pads and the mechanic (i have used him for 16 years) has said it was a nightmare removing them! I am due to collect the car tomorrow (he is still waiting for pistons for the calipers?) and has quoted me £200 for full service (must be his version of full as i know Toyota can charge up to £700!! )and i think £50 for MOT. I am expecting the bill including the pads and discs to be for around £500 and prob a bit more for labour. (i checked net and discs are around £120 including VAT for front 2 for UK TT and pads £20 each) The problem is this, he said that it would take too long for him to check the cambelt and would need to wait a while for the shock absorbers. He said they don't usually check cambelt on a full service, which is all B.S!!! He has done what he has needed to, to get it through MOT and done his version of a full service. Bottom line is i am going to get the car back pay for it, tell him what i think and take it somewhere else for front shocks and to also check the cambelt and whether it needs changing. I think it does seeing as i've 131k on clock and i don't think it had been serviced for a while when i bought it. What do you think i should be paying for cambelt change/check and new front shocks to be fitted? I was thinking of taking it to autoimagine in great dunmow? All in all i could argue the toss and say i ain't paying until it's done properly, but i need my car back as i am due to go away and therefore will prob bite the bullet for the work done.
  17. where did you nick them from!
  18. They look the dog's do doo's! How much would you charge for doing it to mine! If i was in a ferrari and saw a pair of them coming behind me, i would get the hell out of the way Awesome
  19. StevieB - actually alot of Police Academy films are being re-run i think i ITV2, brings back some memories and still funny. PS I am glad to have possibly started a new business initative! But can you imagine a world full of cameras, with people catching people out and tricking them ect ect, I mean to get a car towed away from our residential parking area (despite several signs) is almost impossible, for the fact that you could just report someone willy nilly and get the towed away! I will let you know if anything further comes of this and will certainly pay the police a further visit in a few weeks to see if they followed anything up with the Company. Kind Regards Steve
  20. It was one of the old bikes i think, but with stickers and police badges ect removed. It did look like it had a spy hole camera where they have them as i quickly glanced when he said - but as someone rightly pointed out, (if if) it works, it probably isn't calibrated correctly and probably doesn't even work. To the other chap with his bikes, i didn't mean to imply that riders are partial to taking over the roads, it was just a view of one of the Traffic cops, indeed most bikers i encounter are good folk and appreciative of the machinery they drive. Thanks for all your comments and more importantly perhaps a better nights sleep. Cheers
  21. Very True Steve - good point
  22. Like it Chris - made me laugh!!
  23. Thanks guys, to be honest i am a bit of a worrier (or a woos as my Fiance calls me!) and have these imagines of losing my licence with him making up was was doing over 100 ect, but if i was he was going a hell of alot faster. As the Police said, sometimes there a friction between bikers and (super cars - yes i thought it was a nice compliment!) and you've probably just met a bit of a wide boy on the road!
  24. Yes i agree, to be honest i think from what the Police said to me, is that they might be paying / calling the Company to report it. Shame i didn't think to take his number plate, although the garage does has CCTV if they want to take it further. Put it this way, if i get a ticket through the post, i will be taking it further! I accept that if you get caught either by speed camera or a police officer then fair enough, but not a fake robocop!
