  1. In that case - would it just suddenly cut the power off/ or would it be gradual? If the latter, then surely if you car is de-limited it would pull faster at higher speeds 140mph + ect? I just thought it wouldn't have let me pull so near to 155mph witouth a gradual loss of power?
  2. PS mines totally stock (so doubt it's been de-limited) and if i had not run out of road, it felt like it would still pull - not much left though, it was going up 1or2mph every few seconds
  3. It was 165+ on speedometer, but 154mph on GPS So surely it would go by the speedo? not GPS - or does the management system know how fast it is going???!!!!!!
  4. I would be up for this - please add me to the list - cheers
  5. On a Private Track i hit 154mph and felt like there was a little more to go - so if it is limited to 156MPH does the Management system just cut the power, or does it happen gradually? I read on a site that UK TT's can logically do 168mph and some say could hit 180mph. Are the UK Model TT's actually limited????!!!!!
  6. Nah unfortunately not, got some chilli sauce tho mate. How much did you pay for your UK Spec??
  7. Yes but it's an Import!!!! Mine is a UK
  8. UK's are just rare and have alot of extra's but some consider this to be unecessary ect - all in all a Supra is a Supra import or not, but yes in general UK's do fetch a little more. I fear if i say anymore i will start a war!!!
  9. About the condition - mine ain't far of that - wheels refurbished and definately had a re-spray!!! probably because it was in an accident - although it was not recorded!!
  10. SH was a little sketchy, although all MOT slips add up, and it has not burnt no oil whatsoever in 3k miles and running fine. It's a case of being in the right place at right time and the guy wanted rid. Mind you i ain't going to complain if a decent looking dealer wants to sign the cars praise and advertise it for that!
  11. I only paid £5995 for a 93 l with 123k on it!!!!! I like the spiel on there about it being owned by a Director for 9 years ect ect, I mean to change colour, i smell BS
  12. http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/www/cars/TOYOTA+SUPRA/Ne-2-4-5-6-7-8-27-44-49-53-61-64-67-103-133-146,N-4294966972-4294967173/advert.action?R=200752300900934&distance=39&postcode=SS6+8ND&channel=CARS&make=TOYOTA&model=SUPRA&min_pr=&max_pr=&max_mileage= I think it may be a little over priced?
  13. Had a race with Santa last night - my he is fast!
  14. I have excatly the same problem happens only a few times and therefore die to other expenses will leave until the new year. I once got left behind by a Ford escort GTI - now that was f....ing embarrassing!!!!! Type in VSV on the thread search and there is a huge article on what the problems is..
  15. £400 fully comp with protected no claims. 35yrs 9 years no claim with 1conviction and 1 claim . with Budget Insurance
  16. RIP and sincere condolences to family and friends. Just another reminder, before you start up the engine to be very careful at this time of year.
  17. So all in all, should still be up towards 326bhp, unless i get the credt card out for BPU!
  18. 42 bhp - or lost 42 bhp!!!!!! I think losing 284 bhp might be a bit extreme!
  19. After recently seeing a repeat on Top Gear about how much BHP Supercars lose over time - what do you think the average loss is in BHP per year on the Supra. Mines a 93 TT UK should be pushing the usual 326BHP but what do you reckon it would push now. I know not all will be the same, as mileage ect will make a difference, but just an idea?? Answers on a postcard:rolleyes:
  20. Bottom line is £4.7k for a UK TT Supra is too cheap. There has to be mitigating factors. £6k was the cheapest UK i found and i have never seen them that low. A professional valuer will tell you as much. A supra is not a Nissan GTR 33 or like minded cars, it's in a much higher league, the M3 for example is scattered all over trade magazines, with thousands for sale. You will be lucky to find 100 TT Supra's for sale in the country at any one time.
  21. Escort Cosworth 93 lux £10k Toyota Supra TT UK 93 - £6-7-8k Supra worth 100% more in it's day. It's supply and demand - The Supra may not have the same following as the legendry Escort Cosworth, but £6k as i paid for a 93 UK TT with £123k on the clock is a bargain. 4.9 to 60 and 180 potential MPH. Tell me another car that can match that (IN 1993!!!!) Answer none - only Supercars. There is anxiety in the market and a possible 'R' which alog with Fuel prices have reduced most of the Automobiles selling potential. That said - i do believe that the Supra would (as with the MR2) would have been worth more without imports, however fully accept that with the imports the intrigue ect would have wained and thus it's equivocal
  22. Get the Posrche whilst you have your health. Doubt you will lose too much on it and besides you only live once. Don't do what i did at your age and spend it on other soul destroying products!!! Be sensible and save for the future, but if you can afford it go for - own it for a year and sell up!!! PS I know you can get insure for around £1.5 - £2k becuase i just did a quote on line!!! Jeez when i was 21 i paid £1,500 on a MR2!!!!!! Enjoy whatever you do, investing in property or the car is a win win situation!!!
