  1. I agree with it being removed. As much as it was a nice picture, I don't really want ladies bits on the screen while i'm at work. I know you can hide avators, but they make it easier to tell people apart.
  2. True, she is 48 though so the clock is ticking. I jest, she's 22 so you are totally right. No rush. Everyone says she would make a good primary school teacher (lots of patience ). TBH, I think they will have to review the welsh policy as there is very few teachers coming through the system. She's on about going into Pharmacy now, 5 years at uni
  3. It is not as important, but still desirable. She had heart set on primary teaching anyway.
  4. She could, but we live on the west coast so it's quite a slog. Also, no schools around here would employ her with out a decent level of spoken welsh. She's done basic welsh, but no further. She only got her current job (dispensary manager) because she was learning welsh, once she got the job she packed in the lessons. I should add that neither of us are welsh.
  5. My gf wanted to be a primary teacher, she doesn't speak welsh though so it was no go. Shame, she would have been good at it and the holidays are nice and long.

    Bon Jovi

Dizzy (the keyboard player) is left as well. Axl bought the rights to the band name years ago. What i've heard of 'Chinese Democracy' sounds excellent, they played a few gigs in New York last month and got good reviews.

I bought a ticket last week to see whats left of Guns n' Roses on 25th July at the NEC, can't wait. They're playing a gig in London this week, then the download festival at the weekend.
  8. It was a joke, it's been posted on here before and the guy who wrote it (adi-mkiii, I think) came on and said it was just a pisstake. I think it's pretty funny.
  9. I'm after some Rayban 3245 prescription sunglasses in gunmetal?
  10. The '2 0ctane Points' is according to their over-optimistic research, I doubt they make much difference at all. Toluene does the job, and works out a lot cheaper.
  11. Off the shelf octane boosters raise the octane by a maximum of 0.2 ron. Not a lot for your money.
  12. We allow personal phone calls for emergencies or with prior permission. People do take liberties though, i'll be in the office and hear someone speaking on the phone in welsh with the words 'pie and chips' in english in the middle. A mate of mine was working on the bar in our local, he was texting someone and ignoring a bloke at the bar. After a couple of minutes of politely asking to be served, the guy grabbed his brand new phone and chucked it a pint of lager. LOL. I had no sympathy.
  13. Mine did. He said there was no match on the computer and it came up as requiring the no cat test. 93 J-spec TT.
  14. I totally agree with that, there is a lot of sh1t that goes along with running a co. Its amazing how many people purport they know how to do it better, but strangely never take the plunge. There was a sig on here that said it well (Tannhauser?) = "How much easier is it to be critical than correct"
  15. I'm keeping my spare, I had a blow out a couple of years ago and there wasn't much of the tyre left.
  16. No, I walk to work and have a Navara for practical stuff. I use mine a couple of times a week minimum in the summer, and very sporadically in the winter. I only try to use it for longer trips.
  17. They are the only handbuilt British car left, very rare and respected cars. I'm not too keen on the newer ones though. My dad has two, a 1975 411 mk5 he bought new and a 1977 412 droptop. Both with 7 litre Chrysler V8's (same as the original AC Cobra), you should hear the sound through 4 exhausts... No one knows what they are, the 411 is a proper wolf in sheeps clothing - good for scaring boy racers. He won't admit mine is faster though
  18. I still think of it as The Monterey, used to be a nice place that. The US car meet they have there is good.
  19. Mine passed yesterday with no cats, its a 93 J-spec and came up on the computer as requiring a no cat test. I had the spare cat in the boot just in case
  20. I'd be up for this if i'm back in Shenstone on a Wednesday, I sometimes am.
  21. Well, I did two over the weekend and won't be doing another one in a hurry. It was an experience, mainly a boring one. Your advice came in very handy, thanks. I got rid of about half the stuff and made £80 less about £20 for food and the pitch. The rest went to a charity shop yesterday. Got there at 8:30 on saturday, there was about 30 cars there already so I arrived at 7:30 for the monday one to get a better pitch and there was only 10 cars there all day. Still sold a fair amount though. I met some very odd people, people that won't pay 50p for a working radio but would pay £10 for a slide projector to 'watch freeview on'. Some folks appeared to be there from 7:30am until after lunch, wandering about. It was just about worth it, the money means I have to buy one less boring thing for the new house.
  22. Thanks for the advice people. I'm dreading the first bit, i'm doing it in a pick-up so they'll probably be in the back trying to find stuff while I unload. If a fellow trader wants to buy stuff to sell on, i'll try to bump the price up a bit. I've been told to arrive at 7, its an hour drive away! On a holiday Monday as well. Should be fun.
  23. Cheers. Do you have to price everything up, or just wing it? Most of the records are stuff like 'Irish Folk Songs Vol.7', i'll sort them out later and get on the interweb for some values.
