Yeah, thats an option. I was looking at the boxes as my girlfriend wants a dog, but I think they look a bit rubbish and I'm not sure i'd get my surfboards in. I'm leaning towards the lockable roller-top, so if I need the open pick-up back I can just roll it back. The c-channel divider is a good idea, it stops shopping and smaller stuff flying around the back. Have you seen the bed tent? Lol. Maybe I should find a Navara forum

I've got TT5 on a PDA, it hasn't crashed yet whereas TT4 used to crash regularly. It has lost my favourites and POI warnings a couple of times, and I sometimes get 'no usable locations near cursor' when searching for places. A soft reset sorts that out. Pocketgps have a good forum with a list of known bugs and some fixes, mines running on a 624mhz dell axim with a 1 gig memory card.

I ordered an Outlaw in November as my boring car, there's a long waiting list on the new Navara due to a recall for some back axle problems. March is the latest delivery estimate, but it keeps slipping back. I hate waiting for things... i'm trying to decide what back to get for it at the moment. Its a 2.5 diesel btw

What metal do they need to be in? If you can't find any off the shelf ones, we can make some to your spec. It would obviously be quicker to buy some though.

I used to use it until my local garage stopped selling it, there was no demand. The Esso stuff seemed fine, not as good as Texaco SUL or Ultimate, but it was probably in the tanks at the garage for ages. I put in a can of Toluene everytime I fill up now, it makes a difference IMO.

It's my fault for living in North Wales

Or a flawed, poorly thought-out knee jerk reaction that allows people to be receive punishment based on nothing but hearsay and conjecture? I agree with the idea behind the s59 and want to see the roads rid of these idiots, but it is too open to abuse from the public and police. All it means is that the 'ruffscruffians' around here sell their cars more regularly. I'm going off-topic here, going back to the first post I would personally pop in the local police station and see what they advise.

I wouldn't worry too much about making your car look old, the plate on mine is off a 1957 Landrover.

That was me! My s59 got revoked and I never got called in for the warning the the section sergeant mentioned. They hand out these Section 59 warnings out a lot around here, it is their new favourite thing. Get two in a year and your car is impounded, simple. It will probably depend on your local forces attitude to the s59 system, but all I have to do here is phone the station or pop in, give them the relevant details and hey presto - a warning is given to the person I said caused me distress. A friend of mine got one given to someone last week for overtaking twice on a blind bend, most of the 'boy racers' around here have had s59's and don't seem to care. It's a good idea if you have a genuine case, but open to abuse IMO. I get the impression the police here love them (they told me so) as there is no need for court, witnesses and all those other trivialities associated with the judicial system.

I'm not too keen on the Fighter, but my dads got two older Bristols (1975 411 mkv and a Beaufighter cabriolet). Awesome cars - big American V8s, aluminium bodies, 0-100 in 10 seconds and very few about. Only people who know about cars have a clue what they are

Hope not, the nearest Shell garage is an hour away :thumbdown BP ultimate is a bit more handy, only a 30 minute drive.

Mine was something thrilling like 'what size tyres for stock 16" wheels', Darren (now digsy) and Steve W answered. BradB put up a post saying 'What size bin for stock 16" wheels'

Mine isn't that bad, my Jeep had a problem with the fuel sender so I took it to a Chrysler garage who proceeded to remove the fuel tank, which was full. It was somewhat heavier than they expected and smashed straight through the exhaust. A mate of mine works for a franchise VW/Audi garage, some of the stuff they get up to you would persuade you steer clear of any dealer approved places.

I got an email this morning about an attempt to reduce petrol costs through new fuel card: http://www.pipelinecard.org/ Not sure if it will work or not but it is worth a try to get prices down through bulk buying power. I gather they need 35,000 members to get it off the ground.

The baffle that comes with the SD 2 is about 116mm outside diameter. I would have thought a HKS dealer on here can sort you out.

I can cook, mainly because I got bored of eating takeaways at uni. My favourite food to cook is Mexican anything.

My memory isn't that bad then. Like I said, the time was reduced after Tannhauser wrote in.

2 A's for me. I can't believe that my place in the Midlands is ranked the same as the village I live in wales? Odd.
-
They gave it a 0-60 of 5.9 seconds, Tannhauser off here wrote in and it was reduced to 5.2 or 1.

The MKIV was in 'the knowledge' bit at the back up til about a year ago, I can't remember whether it got 3 or 4 stars. The downside was something like 'sorry officer, I didn't realise how fast I was going'.

That doesn't shock me. My girlfriend is a dispensary manager, loads of young single mums where she works have cottoned onto the fact that they get more benefits if their kids have ADD. They all come to the doctors saying exactly the same thing, get their ritalin (or whatever it is now) and then the extra money. Ker-ching. Another bloke who works for us on a decent wage has quit doing overtime on a saturday as it affects his child tax credits or something. Brilliant system eh?

Bit of moan.. We have employed a disabled bloke full time in the offices for over 10 years. He had been living in a council house with his ill mother until she died aged 90 a couple of weeks ago. Within 3 days of her death, he had received a letter from the council saying he would have to pay full rent as a sole occupier of the house. He can't afford to do this, so phoned the council to have a moan. After finally getting through to the right person, he was told in no uncertain terms told his that if he stopped working, his house would be paid for by the taxpayer and he would receive additional benefits. He doesn't want to quit but is being forced down this route by the local council. It is pathetic, are there not enough people on benefits already without forcing those who actually want to work on to the dole through some cock-eyed benefits system? He is writing to the MP about it, but I don't hold out much hope. This kind of thing seems to be happening more and more, it makes me wonder why we bother sometimes.

I agree, there is a time and a place. However there are too many variables that are outside my control when driving in what could be construed as a careless way. All it takes is a car stopped in the wrong place, or a cat running on to the road. Any accident involving a 'sports' car and a youngish person will generally be blamed on the driver of said sports car, whether you were taking every care possible or not. Its not a part of Supra ownership I like. Having a car like a Supra means you are perceived in a certain way. In my other car (boring estate), I could get away with a lot more in terms of looney driving even though my car is far less capable of handling and stopping effectively.

The only good I can see coming out of an incident like this is that someone else might think twice before doing a similar thing. Its not really the same , but there's a group of teenagers around here who drive like they are invincible, one by one they are crashing and taking others with them. Last week there was a head on and an innocent party ended up with no legs. Last saturday night one of them rolled their car in the center of a village. No one was hurt, but the 17 yr old girl who rolled was so pissed she couldn't even stand. She tried to kill herself in jail. At work on monday, some are saying 'shame she didn't go through with it', others 'hopefully she'll learn from it'. The point CJ made is right, 99% of us drive too fast - I do. It would be too easy for me to come tearing round a corner, hit a broken down car or a tractor and for people to say I deserved what was coming to me. I do consider getting rid of my Supra for this reason - it leads me to drive like a twat on occasion. That and all the chavs that are buying them nowadays.

Apologies for the boring post... I have had a survey done on a property and been instructed to get a structural engineers report to investigate 'movement to the rear of the property'. I don't suppose anyone knows how many fun tickets this is going to cost me? Its a 4 bedroom semi, 150k. I've spent enough for lots of supra toys on this place already, and am worried i'm throwing good money after bad
