Under 5k is a steal However with it being an aero i would be checking under the carpet in the footwells. A small leak over 8 years dripping in there could cause alot of rot

That the white cog? I had one tried to fix mine and ended up getting a whole new seat and swapping the motor. I dont know if anyone has had success in doing it

This is old school supercharged version. It a leaks oil. Even tho it had its engine out to do the clutch and seal replaced. I guess oil leaks are oem. I was so against buying one I had the idea they where soft wallowing things. Instead they are like go carts I really like it. I changed the intercooler, air filter and exhaust. Killed all the chrome. I may fit a smaller pulley.

I watched it and eye rolled the lot. Im still trying to get my “master warning light off” by servicing and changing the crank pulley. If anyone can offer suggestions?

No i dont think so, we where buying these cars for peanuts back then. I am often tempted to sell and look for something else, nothing under 15k is really going to match up close.

Mine nearly got car sos when that muppet put my head gasket on back to front. If @supra matt hadnt turned into Fuzz and tim combined i think the mrs would have made the call i was in such a state in life at the time i just locked it away. Sadly the back stories to these cars are real hardship stuff. i hope its owner isnt to sick to enjoy it.

Fools they are clearly speed holes. My car is full of them out of interest what is the function of trd wing vents. I cut mine to look cool

I’d hazard a real good guess that unless they want to really really look they will see a second cat run the emissions test and pass it. I know the 2jz gte engine is in the handbook does it also list number of cats? The last time I took my na converted to a different mot center they put it though as a mk3 and failed it for no cats. Simple check in vin at another garage and it passed a non cat test.

I was under the impression a tt would pass with just the second cat in?

Indeed the twin turbo engine is in the book so the vin will say it needs a cat test. The na engine isn’t and due to its age it gets a non cat test. Converted na ftw
