I turned the electric smart meter off. Id rather not look at it. Heating wise im seeing the fruits of spending a good few weeks in the summer cutting logs. The only rad i have fired this winter is my sons room. That said his room is always cold, i insulated everything the only thing i didnt was under the floor. The thought of ripping up the laminate and floor boards sucks.

Well lets go December 1st. no heating. I have made my mind up to install another air source to my sons bedroom in the spring. Im slowly gearing up for the big solar install

Who knows anything anymore I insured mine for 30k I doubt I could replace a tt aero for that now. If I could even find one

@Nozhas been chasing my leaky headlights for a while. They have been a pita to the point I was about to give up and get new ones. Noz offered to seal them again for postage costs. I brought all new bulbs in case it was a failed seal. After the floods down here I’m happy to report zero water and or mist in the lights

I attempted to replace the gears and failed I think I got them the states, I don’t know anyone that’s managed to do it I ended up buying old cloth seats and swapping the base

In light of the weather im upgrading my no heating to the 13th of November

We looked into them. the main advantage was being able to power the house in a outage. The down side is the eye watering cost to install. unless we get a ev or two in the house it would take so many years to get your money back it’s false economy. We have a friend that just installed the biggest none commercial set up you can have. I’ve asked them to work out saving per year. Once I get that I will let you know

When your talking in trillions does it matter?

I got at least another ton of wood from my a family member who had some conifers cut. im starting to cut them for next winter. I also have Uk power coming to trim some trees interfering with power lines. They seemed very keen to leave all the wood here. I think a chat to what they do with all the unwanted wood on other jobs is in order…. I will horde as much as I can get

The 350 got a power boost to 300bhp on facelift, The acutal HP isnt to bad the torque is where the money is. However factor in the huge price difference. Id be very interested in hearing a report of driving both to see if extra cost is really worth it. The other downside is the 55 can get into the lower tax bands, the 350 on a 2009 will be top wack

I would look at the face lift 350 slk. The actual figures vs the 55 are not to far off and they are loads cheaper. I think they are maybe 50bhp less? of course the sound and grunt wont be the same but for the money? And it has the f1 nose to, 2008 onward i think.

My last cringe was a group of 4 20 to 30s lads giving the car a standing ovation as i drove past. Closely followed to being invited to a meet called super car Saturday in thanet. I assumed there would be no actual "super cars" only to roll up and end up parked next to two mclarens and the final nail a F40 that where concourse perfect. With my 30 year old toyota, that had misty headlights and a few stone chips. My only joy was watching the guy trying to get out of the f40 while 40 people filmed him Not a single "is that a supra" that day.

Yes. That said I leave the bathroom one off. Apparently the boiler engineer said to allow an open rad to help the boiler. the boiler will fire when ever the main stat says it’s to cold on a traditional boiler most stats are wall hung in the living room or hall. Firing a boiler when hall gets cold is pointless chances are the other rooms are fine. So you end up heating the whole house. Old Rad valves will then stay open until they get to a certain level and shut. The tado will only turn the boiler on when one of the rooms hits its min temp. The rest stay shut. Boiler fires all the heat to said room until it hits its setting and turns boiler off. if your like me I like the bedroom cool at night so I knock the rads down to 14. If you pay extra it will ring fence and detect when your out and turn the system to away mode then when your close to home switch it back so your house is warm when you come in. I do it via the app instead.
