  1. Hmm quite quiet here. Anyone having trouble with the Expert seasonals ? Here's my final tunes. My final gold tunes. All thanks to Shirakawa Akira, Ugabugaz, Greycap, RKM's Juliet Elise and Adrenaline's advice. Fiat All upgrades except turbo, not needed but I had them anyway. 147 KG ballast at -50 position. No turbo Gears at 1 - 3.766 2 - 2.648 3 - 1.965 4 - 1.535 5 - 1.263 Final 4.1 max speed 99 mph LSD at initial 5 accel at 10 braking at 5 Suspension Height -20 and - 20 Springs 7.6 and 6.0 Dampers ext 5 and 5 Dampers Comp 4 and 3 ARB's 3 and 4 Camber 2.5 and 2.0 Toe - 0.25 and -0.2 Brakes 4 and 5 Manual gears are a must. Crucial corners for losing speed are the right hander after 1st tunnel. Try to keep 50 mph through it. Left hander after long staight. Cut close and try to keep 60+ mph through it. Right hander after the little chicane heading towards the lake. Try keeping 55+ mph here and the next left hander. Try keeping above 50 mph through the corner. Elise All upgrades except turbo again. Not needed but I think easier with. Aero rear +20. 101 KG ballast at -50 setting. No turbo. This keeps the wheelspin down when flooring the car out of corners. Gears 1 - 3.652 2 - 2.568 3 - 1.923 4 - 1.506 5 - 1.233 6 - 1.056 Final 4.530 Max speed 149 mph LSD set at initial 10 Accel 9 braking at 5 Suspension Height - -25 and -25 Springs 6.5 and 10 Dampers ext 7 and 8 Dampers comp 6 and 5 ARB's 3 an3 Camber 1.3 and 1.5 Toe -0.1 and -0.15 Brakes 5 and 6 Very hard race for me. I used 1 on traction control so I could get a bit more push through the corners. Subaru All upgrades again. Aero 20 ballast 14 KG at -50 position. Gears - just final gear at 3.860 and max speed 137 mph LSD settings - Initial 5 front 10 rear Accel 20 front 40 rear Brake 5 front 5 rear Torque setting 35 front 65 rear. Suspension Height +20 front ( not a typo) -20 rear Springs 9.5 and 8.0 Dampers ext 7 and 6 Dampers comp 6 and 5 ARB's 5 and 5 Camber 2.3 and 1.0 Toe 0.00 and 0.00 Brakes 4 and 8 I found this easier than the Elise. It's very important to clip the red apex markers. Trickiest corners are the first hairpin, important to keep some momentum here. You should be on the bumper of the first car for the next corner where track position is everything to roll through the apex and easing throttle on. The next right hander isn't to bad but the following long left is difficult to judge right, bake - roll to apex and get on the throttle as soon as you're able. Next left hander is fast, brake, turn to clip red marker on throttle. Up to corkscrew where you should be on the tail of the next car. Brake late just before the top of the hill, all the way to the left at the start of the screw. You can now floor it through the right hander at the bottom of the section clipping the kerb. It is much faster than cutting the corner and losing all momentum and position due to sand for the next crucial left hander. Brake twice for this corner, once to pull the car in for the apex and one little dab to make sure you don't overshoot to the other side of the track and hit sand ruining the position for the final fast turn. On up to the slow final left. Brake late and roll through the apex getting on throttle as soon as possible for the straight. Mid to high 1.37 first lap followed by consistent mid 1.35's will see you passing the lead car at the second to last corner. So there is still some margin for error left. A mid 1.36 lap should still see a win. Phew. Sorry for the long post. I hope the st ups and tips help some people. Easiest race for me, after trying many tunes, was the STI. With that tune and an hours practice I got gold and a rubbish car. Have fun folks. Edit - All on a DS3, auto gears on Elise and STI, as I'm still rubbish with a wheel. As said I am rubbish at driving so there is light at the end of the tunnel. All the best. Edit edit - after several restarts on the STI I saw the bhp up at 398 so put the tune in and don't exit the race. Just restart.
  2. 'bout time Pete. Lovely car you have.
  3. Crikey Jazz. Don't use a debit card for online stuff mate. Credit card only. The onus is then on the CC company and the company that has caused you loss etc. Or that's how I read it anyway. Looks like your bank is ok. I don't trust them and you get the extra protection of the credit consumer act with CC cards.
  4. As the three posts above. Nics posts that is.

    Hi

Good to hear from you again Rich. Have fun and keep going on mate. I'm off to read your blog now.
  6. Nice. At least you don't have the VS spoiler. That spoils a lot of cars, in a lot of people's opinions. VS sides are used a lot and the bumper, well it's a matter of opinion. Good car though, well done.
  7. You have gotta be kidding me. You do all that for that money????? It takes me 3 hours just to get the outside reasonable. The bay, cuts and paint treatment are great. To get the interior looking so good just takes it to the limit. Brilliant stuff. Got to agree though, I thought all mods had seriously neat cars. Obviously wrong there then.
  8. Sorry to read about your back Danno. Hopefully 2011 will be kinder to you. Great work on the car mate.
  9. Yep. Arrived this morning. Well made up with it. Thank you Kamal it was a pleasure dealing with you mate. Andy
  10. My very next choice. Since there's only 4mm left on the Falkens. Read some good reports on those. Better than some premium makes especially in the wet. What kind of mileage did you get Gaz? I'm quite shocked at the Falkens wear rate, they have not covered 5K yet and are getting down to where the performance dramatically drops off.
  11. What he said. If it's just basic servicing, go to a good garage you can trust, ie doesn't rip you off by swapping your premium oil to rubbish etc. You'll save yourself a fair few quid that way. If it's anything to do with electronics, fuelling, turbos go to those mentioned. Also go to a specialist for a health check on suspension, engine etc. for peace of mind. Specific stuff goes wrong with age and needs a specialist who knows the cars to check.
  12. Drove a Patrol around Freetown peninsula in Sierra Leone, rugged and reliable but not the kind of quality you will want for the family Jamie. Disco 3, Landcruiser and Touareg are the best choices so far. I think the Disco and Landcruiser residuals are better than the Touaregs too.
  13. Yup. Took ages to get to 30. Managed it last night and had a pop at the Vettel challenge. That is mentally fast.
  14. Congratulations to you all. Very cute littlun you have there.
  15. If it soumds like a scam mate, walk away. Plenty more around.
  16. Spider - 2009 and 45 posts. Rog - 2006 and 3001 posts and cast iron reputation. Don't think your complaints are going far fella. Just my opinion. By the way I've bought from Roger and had absolutely no hassle whatsoever. Faultless transaction and a good couple of hours entertainment rolled in. That was a 100 miles'ish each way too.
  17. Sorry to read that mate. Collection only is a laugh now, far cheaper to post a lot of the stuff we need. If you need a hand when you're up our way bud just drop us a line. Nowhere near the 4th March though. Big day.

That does us Scott. It's a straight call. Dad calls and sometimes the kids. As long as I can get an emergency call out I don't give a damn about landline. Just in case I'm out of battery at the worst time, it's belt and braces.
  19. Don't need trade mate. I just save the game to a usb, gift the car, re-load the game and still have the car. I can only do it once a day but what the hell.

Doesn't matter about the phone stuff Scott. Got an unlisted number anyway. We only use it for emergencies, never needed BT advice before so everything's good. There's always Skype. Mobile etc.
  21. Rare as fook mate. 30 levels = one Supe RZ. I have one and will send it over if you want. Send a friend invite to Roo_09

    lcd tv just died

How old is it? If less than 2 years just get a new one. I've read that all electronic goods get a standard 2 years warranty in the EU and have put into practice with a phone. Didn't get a new phone but all the internals were changed and I got a decent phone back. Good luck.

Something I was looking into Scott. It seems you can get a far better upgrade deal. Unfortunately I am not upgrade material, haven't used 'em before, but future upgrades are gonna be pretty awesome. IE 20 meg customers now get 50 for no extra. So 50 meg customers are gonna get some pretty good deals. Get nothing with BT.

    Broadband Speed

Been paying 28 a month for unlimited BT, sh1te, getting capped for P2P software, no explanation what so ever. BT Infinity doesn't get here 'til Sept 2011 and it's still ten times slower. No way 100 meg can get through copper BT lines and they definitely have not upgraded those. There is far, far better out there.
