  2. Ouch, i would love a set of thoose on mine, would look perfect but tad out of my price range Good choice
  3. Bit mental in the vid, but at the end of the day.... what has he actually done wrong in the eyes of the law. Assume she wasnt screaming for him to stop, shes fully clothed.... etc etc. Parents should be charged with her being in a club

I sold it about a month ago so it may have been me you saw. It is still local, lives up in Epsom but you wont see it in that guise any more though as it came out of the body shop jet black lastnight... new owner has a thing for all black cars

What do you want to know, ive owned two of them so might be able to give you some pointers Bang per buck they are IMHO the best jap car available, cheap to buy, cheap to mod, insure, run etc etc when you comprare them to other cars. the s14/15 have very good engines, easy to get 50-100bhp more out of them and if looked after will run forever, i got 110K out of my last s14 without ever having to crack it open (granted bits around it, turbo, clutch etc failed) What model are you looking at? This was my last one, ran about 250-260 bhp.
  6. Ditto... i dont have the cats for mine so a sport cat would be a good investment (especially round MOT time)
  7. Probably because i have his set - it arrived today. If you can wait till after the weekend and marks willing, i could post them to you for the cost of postage, would save me money and him hassle Ill be doing mine tommorow afternoon/saturday.
  8. If it needs taking out its not a hard job, had mine out the first week i had the car Wont be this weekend though, i have to do the cam belt/crank pully on mine
  9. Do you still live around my area Yulia? (remember me? adam who used to have the red nissan 200 ) I could have a quick look for you if you want.
  10. Im supposed to be delivering my mates younger sister to her prom in mine next month Least the youth of today have SOME taste it seems
  11. Depends on the partner Ive had GF's i wouldnt let sit in the car let alone drive it. My ex used to drive my 200 though, infact she now owns it, but i had to let her drive it as she let me use her RX7

luckaly since they last "dropped by" our car park rivals fort knox, so they wont be getting in again It used to be open to anyone who fancied driving in off the main road. There is always a group of them camped out somewhere round crawley (probably feel at home with the locals ) so most car parks, grass verges, gardens etc have walls/barriers/earth banks to stop them getting in.
  13. The only difference ive noticed in my local dealer when the word "import" is mentioned is the hourly labour rate magically bounces up £10 per hour, mechanics must have trouble talking to the car as its speaks jap, as thats about the only difference i can think off

Blimey! Took a court injunction to get rid of ours Maybe crawley police are just useless!

Sadly if they are on private land, they will be there longer, as the police dont see it as being their problem. A group of them set up camp in our office car park in crawley, trashed 4/5 cars that were in there (some were company owned, couple were people who were on holiday ) Took a good month to get them out, police just didnt want to know. Caused chaos as we had to find somewhere for about 200 cars to park!
  16. I dont think its a personal thing, when i had my mr2 some years ago i had great trouble getting a HG for it, as the car was jap with a UK engine in it That confused them . Im guessing its drummed into them thats the way they are supposed to do it, and i suppose if they get the model wrong and you kick up a fuss about it, its them who will get it in the neck, so they are covering themselves. Granted they do come across as just not wanting to be helpfull. I ended up getting a chassis number off of another UK mr2 to get my HG in the end!
  17. Sit on a motorway at 60, you should do a mile a minute Time bends when driving a supra, so dont trust your senses
  18. Mine been converted, but they never bothered to switch the odo from saying KM to MILES, even though it now counts in miles. Are you sure it was 39km and not miles?
  19. which toyota dealer did you ring? Ive just got back from the Tollhouse one in crawley, very helpfull chap, even gave me a discount for being a member on here Their hands are somewhat tied if you dont have the information they need though, as their system starts off by asking for it and then drills down tot he parts you need. I have it all written down on a bit of paper in my wallet now for such occations
  20. Lots of peeps advised against using them with carbon/GRP bonnets are they tent to push them up/flex them.
  21. More likely they want us to use cars affected by the the new road tax laws.... for example none of us supra owners are affected by the recent tax hikes (i now pay less tax than my work mate with a new mini pretty sure the supra kills the planet quicker than a mini.).
  22. if it is true, dont these people have more pressing things to be thinking about, our shat national health system, our schools that about to spit out a generation of doll supporters etc Any car over 10 years, i recon that would safely cover more than 50% of cars on the road, anything from R reg back! Local councils would soon get pissed off with 50% of the countries motorists ringing them up every day planning their trip to work Added thought - it would ruin people on lower income even more, having to buy newer cars every few years. Most people who have older cars have them for one reason - they cant afford new ones. Doesnt change the fact they NEED a car.
  23. Mystery solved..... It turns on the front parking sensor (presumably so it doesnt beep at you in traffic cues )
  24. Testiment to jap/toyota reliability to get to 200k! i blew the end tank off my old nissan one at around 80K
  25. *edit* i see its only after theyve found your car anyway, and the chances of them finding anything from fingerprinting the car is unlikely, so just dont pay it and be happy you got your car back!
