  1. Ill scan some later, sadly he passed away about 5 years ago, so before the time of digi cams. He was a wopper though
  2. Quite an old photo, but after a fox dessimated all but one of our chickens, the remaining one was so scared of being eaten, shed peg it from the coop first thing in the morning, into the house and perch with our old great dane, or follow him round the garden... she had her own guard dog Strange how the biggest dogs are the most at home with smaller animals, our cats used to curl up on the sofa with him as well. (hes yawning not about to have a chicken drumstick by the way!) http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/photos/duke.jpg
  3. link to the manual if youve not already found it: http://www.hksusa.com/info/download.asp?id=1635
  4. Aye . Knew every inch of my old car, so coming to this was a shock to the system, completly different animal. I think weve come to an understanding now though
  5. Sun's shining, back at my folks with a workshop to abuse for the weekend... its supra time! First job - music. When i picked up the supra, it didnt have a head unit, one of the rear speakers was dead, and the other was missing, as was the bracket to hold it. Couldnt find a second hand bracket, and toyota wanted £100 for one so bluepeter time I ended up removing most of the rear of the car... good learning experience, and as a bonus found all the cables required for fitting my amp in http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/supra/interior.jpg Now with some rear speakers, i had to try and sort all the wireing out for the front, which took some figuring out as most of the original loom had been arsed about with. Got there in the end, amp, head unit and 4 infnity speakers all in THEN.... the eyes wandered to the dash. After 14 years of use, the rubber covering was looking a bit mank, missing bits etc. couple of hours with bleach, scrubbing and painting: (didnt know how this would work, it was either going to look tosh or good... i think it looks quite nice, enough black with the knobs etc to break it up) http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/supra/dash.jpg Only bad bit of paint on the car, a rust patch from where one of the previous owners had reversed into something on the rear 1/4 and it hadnnt been properly repaired. Not finished with this yet, but the rust is gone and its primered Just needs some silver/laquering. http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/supra/rust_patch.jpg Then treated her to a wash, clay and wax.... http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/supra/supra.jpg Thought id bore you all with that! but its finally starting to feel like MY car so im all proud

    New Girl!

Second that Welcome (bit late, should really start reading dates!)
  7. its an HKS type 1 turbo timer, i had one in my sx. It shouldnt affect your speedo in anyway, unless its been wrongly installed. It shows you (once set up) RPM, speed (in KM), batt voltage and will do 0-60 times etc. Great bit of kit You should be able to find a manual online somewhere, i cant remember the functions on it now, been a while.
  8. ooooooooh i seeeeeeeee... Dont think it will be that, as the noise is from the back of the engine, but i will check again in a mo - cheers.
  9. how would the crank pully slip? And surly that would knock the timing out completly?
  10. Deffinatly not the belt, first thing i checked its more of a metal on metal kind of screech!
  11. Every other time i start the car, i get a loud, split second screech (like a dog yelping). Doesnt do it every time, although more often than not. If had a good look round it this morning, and cant find where its coming from, but seems towards the back of the engine/GB area. Any suggestions what this might be? car drives fine, bit stumped!
  12. I know of someone on the SX owners club who converted his S14a. Works very well in performance/turbo cars as LPG is a higher RON than most petrols, somewhere in the 100's. Ive always been sceptical about what the government will do, i can see them waiting for enough people to convert, then jacking the price up as a nice lill earner!
  13. BUMP Went to toyota, they only come with a speaker, and cost £100 new Anyone know of any mk4's being broken?
  14. BUMP Someione must have one of these kicking about in the darkest depths of their garage that they dont want surly.... you could be converting it into a couple of pints
  15. Still trying to get a working system in my car, i have two fronts wired up, so i have noise! On taking the rear speaker grills off earlier though i find ones missing (speaker) as is the metal bracket to hold it. Seems someones made a bodged attempt at fitting some 6x9's in the past. Im happy to put some decent 160mm speakers back in, i just need the bracket for this side.... Anyone have one kicking about if they've done something funky with their rears?
  16. What do you call a chav in a box? INNIT! BOOM BOOM
  17. Just like to point out before i get mobbed by a group of angry, pitch fork weilding supra owners... i wasnt petitioning for graphic sigs to be brought in just thought id share my supra one
  18. I can see the arguments against them. its not so much of a problem with todays broad band speeds, but i tried to browse UJCC on my pocket pc the other day, some of the pages were coming in at 2mb, which was deathly slow, mainly due to the sigs and other related graphics. We even have limits emposed on physical and file size, but still eats bandwidth. Of course, on most fourms you can personally turn off the ability to see sigs.... so if you didnt wanna see em, you wouldnt have to Horses for courses, i have my sad avatar, that will do
  19. Supra one took about 1/2 hour i spose. Its not hard to do, most of the time goes into tidying it up to look nice "what graphic designers do in the evenings"
  20. Its kind of a tradition now, had one for my sx as well http://www.ultimatejapcars.co.uk/uploads/smiffad/sig_carz2.jpg
  21. Cos in typical board fashion i just made my new one for other forums (new car new sig needed!) Based loosly round the film cars.... i present lightening the silver supra http://www.asdesignsweb.co.uk/smiffad_sup.gif For good measure i made an avatar one as well Yes i am sad
  22. Did this at the weekend, fiddly, but quite easy. You can simply stuff something down the auto cooler pipes (back end of drill bit, extension bar etc) this we lost about 3 drips of fluid in all
  23. Yeah not a problem, it'll probably still be there in years to come knowing my house keeping! Another useful thing ive found, if you use Firefox, it has lots of usefull plug ins for analysing web pages/css etc. Down load a few and have a play with it. Web pages can be the most infuriating things when they dont work the way they should, and its normally omething small hidden away thats causing it.
  24. try this again then: CLICK im hitting the hay now so best of luck lol.
  25. Just open the piccy in the pop up, you dont need another html page with a table... just make sure your pictures the right size to fit your window. Unless of course your wanting to add text to it etc in which case ignore me Ill have a play with the code and see what i can come up with for you. This what your trying to do?: CLICK ME View the source and youll see how its built.
