  1. I meant CAM belt... i dont need instructions for the drive belt
  2. Anyone done a handy write up on how? I will need to do it shortly, and as easy as it looks its always nice to have some insutructions to follow:cool:
  3. Someone on here rang the DVLA and asked earlier, its done on first built - the fact it was registered in 05 doesnt make a co2 level magically appear for it to be taxed on (thankfully) All in all, a pretty pants day, due to income tax ill be about £10 a month better off, which will dissapear in increaded road and fuel tax....
  4. Its going up £5 a year. 07 - 180 08 - 185 09 - 190 etc etc

    'was' or 'were'

GERRORF MY LAAAAAAAND Im alloud to abuse wiltshire people, i am one I have to admit, if i slip into my wltshire accent i start speaking like that - BUT i like to consider myself well educated, and i speak in that way because its a local thing, not because i dont know how to speak properly. Something the local crawleyites struggle with "wiltshire born and wiltshire bread, stong in the arm and thick in the head" etc etc.
  6. Dunno, but apparently its gone down! which can only be a good thing. Probably equate to about 5p a month mind.
  7. Hopefully im worrying about nothing... buy "for vechicles registsred after march 2001" Do hope that doesnt include imported cars, the supra im picking upon friday was "registered" in 2003
  8. Hope they let us back, i went to the odd BW meet last year, it was very very good, untill the chavs turned up Nowt wrong with them coming, they will probably be the next generation of owners, but do what the rest of use do, park up and go look around on foot.

    Supra v Skyline

I was in this situation, was looking at liners, rx's, supras and scoobs... Scoobs i found boring, and a bit too common, Rx's were a bit too bad on fuel/oil.rebuilds So that left the liner/supra. Insurance on a GTS (which would have been slower than the sx ive just sold) £1000 Add to this nissan are rust magnets, and its a bit of an expensive tin can! For the same money, ive bought a nice TT supra, and insure it for about half the cost. Depends what your priorities are, i was slighty aggrived by being charged loopy insurance for a car just because it has SKYLINE written on the boot. (that and i love supras, justs didnt realise i could actually afford one )
  11. http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/news/default.asp?storyId=16035 Looks like it wont affect anything older than april last year, or anything not in current tax group G (aimed at house wifes in range rovers) Not like the media to leave out an important bit of info like that and cause a national outrage We will just have to feel "greatfull" we "only" pay £180. One plus side, this extra revenue from road tax should see a marked improvement in roads, HAHA BOOM BOOM
  12. Hopefully it wont apply to cars registered before april last year, or so i hear *fingers corssed* They hiked road tax a few years ago, my folks pay 200 and something for their 53 defender, while my old sx remained at the 170 mark! They need to scrap road tax, its a joke! Tax the fuel (as they allready do, then those who use it pay for it, bigger cars use more fuel... simple really. only draw back is company car drivers, they need taxing the arse off of to stop them living 100 miles from work and commuting every day
  13. http://www.tastynuts.com/site/frameset.htm (hope you appreciate that i just had to join the club to post in here )

  18. Will a K reg import sup require a cat to pass an mot? Looking at one, but it doesnt have the cats.

  20. And what do you get for this increase in council tax? (from personal experience) - Half the rubbish collections - More council funded tenents in bigger flats than i can afford to rent in my block of flats - Said tenents trashing the place, being stabbed, threatening, dealing drugs etc etc (for two years, completly untouchable by the council/police!) - A police force who dont give a toss unless your speeding, their only other function being to issue "crime numbers" (far easier than actually trying to solve crime of course) - Worse roads (some of the roads in crawley are starting to rival mud tracks) - Guided Bus lanes - can bus drivers in crawley not drive in strieght lines? they need streight, guided bus lanes to steer for them? - OUT OF SERVICE guided bus lanes - how can a bus lane break down?! This country is a joke, we pay a lot of money in the hope it will improve our country, sadly its squandered on those who have no interest in making our country great and are just after a quick buck toni blair:
  21. do YOU like them? End of the day you built/mod your car for you, noone else I think they look good by the way
  22. He said "this isnt some concept car due for release in 2001 Good Vid
