  1. and it issssss *drum roll* Crack pully, well diagnosed Ric Put a dab of tippex on both parts, turned it on, wacked on the ac full chat and turned the wheel fast, got a squeek. On cheching my tippex marks, they have parted company - so that needs replacing
  2. Genious... why didnt i think of that, durr
  3. yeeeees, luckaly its doent do it often, hasnt done it on startup for a few days, so must be in the very beginning stages. It was like the noise a small dog would make if you stood on it - yelped (not a nice annalagy buy accurate!)
  4. no its not got to the parting company stage just yet. Im 99.99% sure its this that screeches, especially as it got much much worse when i put a load on the aux belt with the PS and AC pumps.. Sound plausable?
  5. It moves to a certain degree just with me sticking my hand down and pushing on it... that cant be good... Im all for it not being that, im just getting prices incase it is Any pictures of a good one about? I take it its two metal parts joined with a rubber section? (inner that mates with crank, rubber, outer to run aux belt)
  6. Ive PM'd NIC, i have a few other bits as well so big savings to be had (fingers crossed) cheers.

you can get a 21 day demo off the slysoft website of any dvd
  8. Out of your list i think the Exige Always liked the slightly off the wall look of them, even though in a straight line i dont think they are that fast (believe they start running out of puff near 100?) they do corner like nothing on earth TVR's are good drive way orniments, but as a dealer once said to a mate of mine, if you dont have what the car cost put away for servicing etc, dont bother! (brutally honest!) The other ones are a bit bland compared to the Exige... end of the day though its up to you what you like NSX? quite rare, good presence on the road, good on track.
  9. I shall pop out and get one at lunch Piccies added
  10. I agree its undergoing some serious testing and holding up, no signs of it going anywhere. Very easy to change the rad, just block up the bottom IC pipe with something, i didnt and managed to drop a leaf down it! Took about 1/2 and hour of fishing with a custom made leaf catching tool (arrow with a ball of sticky tape on the end) to get it out

more than one word: slysoft any dvd, (so im told) is very very good, and constantly updated to deal with the most modern of encryption. It dealt with CR fine anyway (although it does occationally skip a VOB file, but they are always ones you can simply copy straight from the dvd.) If you thought it was good on dvd, you should have seen it at the cinema - i was dissapointed watching it again on dvd, was was raving about it when i first saw it on the big screen
  12. Range expander? We use one at work to throw our wireless down to the other end of the building Not hearing good things about sky recently, especially with their routers/internet packages
  13. I have a similar problem, really high pitch screech occationally on start up. Popped the AC on the other day whilst doing a 3 point turn and it went ballistic (combination of ac and ps pump on the belt i presume), so i can only assume its the crank pully? Get a quick screech on sharp changes of speed as well (engine start, dropping a cog etc) Saw somewhere you can get shiney lighter ones... probably going to be a damn site cheaper than MR T too... anyone know where from?
  14. Was checking out the catrsol edge stuff down at halfords, its fully synth, and available in 10w50. Its quite high price stuff though, to get 5L would cost knocking £60 from halfords!! (£45 for 4L, then £12 for 1L)
  15. Prohibitivly costly for me at the moment I do have UK 17's on my car though, so theyd fit...
  16. Ah ha, i shall try this when ive finished melting the current pads Cheers for the info
  17. Are you using decent fluid as well? i think my main problem was boiling it
  18. Lots of people have told me they are pap, and untill today i dissagreed, as they seemed to bite harder than my old sx's brakes. Took her out for a blat along a local DC today, and by the time id reach the second round about and come to a hault, all four corners were actually smoking, and my loooooord the smell Conclusive proof, they really dont like being abused, puts pay to me going on track for now, i wouldnt trust them at all. Is there anything i can do to make them a bit better withouth shelling out mega money on new calipers? they alreay have porterfiedl (i think) pads in.
  19. fresh off the boat, everything else is up to you. Most of them are over 10 years old though, so just require an mot to get them legal (and tax etc obviously)
  20. Yes thats one of the ones i went too. I think they have reserve prices, and they dont tell you publically if you met it or not, so they may not have actually sold for that. the other place we went to, A1 i think it was called, said sold/not sold at the end of every auction, they only sold about 3 cars in the hour we were there, reserves were too high for people.
  21. Which auction house did you go to? I went down there last month on the supra hunt, but the only two they had were dogged
  22. Looks like it might be worth a try, only one of mines gone cloudy, which makes it look even worse... they could have at elast had the decency to both grow old gracefully
  23. Couldnt be more exactly on the wrong side of london if it tried Good to know though failing anything closer, cheers.
  24. Anyone have any reccomendations? I need a couple of things doing to the sup, namely Cambelt and possiblt valve stem seals. Ive got a quote off of the local toyota dealer for the belt, which isnt as bad as i thought it would be, but i dont trust dealer mechanics! Anywhere around the crawley/gatwick area? Dont mind travelling a bit if the prices/service are good
