Sounds like just your belt, or possibly the shafts on one of the other bits, PS/AC pumps etc, have a bit of a wd40 spraying session on them. (not on the belt )
-
Put a blob of tippex on your crank pully, one on each bit (inner/outer) start the car and do what ever it takes to make it squeek. For me this was turn on the AC full wack and quickly turn the wheel side to side. Stop engine, and see if your marks still line up - if they dont, crank pullys dieing - same as mine My crank pully is a really nasty screech though, pretty unbearable, how loud is your squeek?

Just use common sense Most buyers are likely to be insured from a legal point of view with 3rd party. Dont forget this doesnt really help you if he/she crashes it though! So up to you if you risk it or not. Personally id be hard pushed to buy a car if i haddnt driven it. Always go with them if you do let them drive, the number of people who are daft enough to let people go for a test drive without going with them, and then are shocked when they never see the car again Dude i bought my supra off of wanted cash, and had a counterfit UV light all ready to check it when i came back and paid, which was fair enough! Bankers drafts are far better, and you can ring the issuing bank on the spot and check its not a fake one.

Take it that means the active spoiler wouldn't be in one piece?

Shame, looks a lovely car (kinda wish id got a red one now) How much for the skirts and spats, the do make the car somewhat

It may not be a "necessary tradition" but nors owning a supra, we do it because we enjoy it . The modern hunt is about getting together and going out for a ride as a group (even if yes they do look silly - i used to be into offroading, and quite often came across them wandering about on salisbury plain on mobiles ) Actually ive just talked myself in disliking the people that go hunting... but thats another argument for another day, and not because they hunt foxes, its the pompuss snobbery i was accused of earlier. Granted, banning it doesnt really change anything, they can still get together and go out riding - but on the flipside, what was the point in banning it? and wasting hundreds of hours of government time deciding to do it, when they have far far greater fish to fry. And then to add insult to injury, not police it afterwards, making it a truly monumental arse up It was all just spin.

Its not contradictory at all. I dont actually support it for the volume of foxes it gets rid of, as i said its not an overly efficiant way of killing the blighters. They can spend all day chasing one and never get it, their are far better ways of achiving that goal. BUT, its an ancient sport, thats very understood by pretty much everyone whos never had direct contact with it. Its just another right thats been taken away by the few in thier ivory towers. As i said before, its the principal of it. Also why it makes me smile when some 300 odd riders turned out, with police escort (not interfearing), at the salisbury hunt in january! Its truly pathetic our government can waste such a massive amount of time on something, eventually ban it, then go on as normal. Total political stunt! Anyway, its a subject close to my heart, so im not going to post again like i said, it just goes round in circles.

i dont kill for fun, which is why i dont shoot everything furry that moves. Its a case of we get the fox, or we may as well leave the chicken coups open all night and put up a sign saying "free fox meals" One or tother has to go.... and im pro chicken
-
That sounds familier.... i will haev to try and drive at a wall tomorrow with it on Lets just hope they work

I am pro hunting (fox hunting) mainly due to the principle of the matter. Growing up in the back end of nowhere its plainly obvious our lives were run by politicians who thought the country side was their playground. Ive never been hunting, and never will as riding doesnt interest me so i have no vested interest in it (id rather shoot them to be honest as if done right it is quicker/more humane - and its my sport) BUT the point is that the hunt rarely catches one anyway, and even if they do most of the hunt party is miles behind (mummy and daughter just enjoying a hack out) AND more people go hunting now its banned anyway so its all a bit of a farce! Id like to point out the only animal i would ever consider killing is a fox, as they happily pray on livestock, not just poultry but even lambs! Yes those poor defencless balls of wool that stand there all cute going BAAAAAH, ripped to shreads..... Makes foxes fair game in my eyes.

Its the UJCC south east meet. We dont expect it to become as big as Bolney, but weve been in talks with the pub and they are happy for us to be there(more money for them at the end of the day! More the merrier Shameless plug if your interested: http://www.ultimatejapcars.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=19140 *we have nowt to do with the bolney by the way - flatterering as it would be as the meet rocked*
-
As i know its that, i really need to get it done sooner rather than later, same with the cam belt, as thats a bit of an unknown... so going to have to bite the bullet
-
Might have to do a bit of investigating at the weekend. Ruled out drivers side ejector seat anyway
-
Bloody hope not, if it is i just drove home with them on Next clue: when you turn it ON, it beeps from behind the dash.....just the once Can i take it im in somewhat of a minority with this button? oooh im speshul lol
-
Takes a lot of skill/luck to shoot a fox with a shotgun and actually kill it. Most likely outcome is it will be wounded, and run off and die painfully, think even the fox would prefer a dog biting through its neck, killing it instantly, to that. I grew up on a farm, and have first hand knowledge of what foxes get up to. Im not going to get into this argument though as no one can ever agree and it just goes round in circles. Just wait untill they over run towns - then see how public oppinion suddenly changes about them. And im quite safe from farmers shooting me, i AM vegitarian

foxes are evil scummy animals, sad day when they banned hunting. Im trying to get some broad head points from the US (where they hunt bears with bows etc - think 4 razor blades attached to the end of an arrow, your about there....) so i can go and scewer a few foxes. Its natural revenge for our chickens!

Mine has parking sensors.... but only on one side oddly enough, i came to the conclusion as you cant really see the passengers side front/back they had them installed on that side only. So not only does it beep in reverse, it goes spastic if you reverse near anything! It now has a clifford alarm on it, which may explain why it doesnt "seem" to do anything lol
-
na thats on the dash
-
said button: Thinking about it... possibly something to do with the parking sensors? Although it appears to be OFF and they still work...
-
Ill get a photo of it later if no one knows what im talking about, but... Theres a switch under my dash, about where your right knee is, basically pointing at the floor. it looks like its factory fit, although it may have just been a good after thought. WHAT DOES IT DO? Its either a simple on off switch or a two way toggle switch of some sort, and has a round logo on it..... Anyone else got this and know what it does, when i press it it doesnt seem to do much
-
nice easy fix then mines deffo the crank pully, tried the tipex trick last night, and the marks moved when i gave the AC some stick - DOH HI HO, HI HO, ITS OFF TO TOYOTA WE GO....
-
It takes a fair bit of punishment to get it to move, so as long as i keep the ac off it only slips when i start it. Plus due to the warmer weather the rubber must be doing a better job of holding on, as it rarely screeches on start at the moment. I have a friend in the trade getting me a price for a new one, should get it atleast 15% lower than Mr T prices "every little helps" Was going to get one off NIC, but obviously i need one a little sooner than 4-5 weeks now, DOH. Sure i cant fix it with JB weld and fibregalass?
-
Christ, double the fuel, youd need a petrol station half way round a track for the supra Surely from an emmisions point of view using twice as much fuel means even worse pollution than with petrol? so its not really a good thing in the long run - although probably unavoidable due to the finite nature of oil.
-
would you happen to have a servicable crank pully? J-spec auto tt
-
Im in the market for a new crank pully, £200 for one from toyota Trying a few mates in the trade, got it down to about £170 so far, still alot for a big iron wheel
