  1. Strangely enough I said the same on Facebook when speaking to Martin, well I said tinting but same thing They are the tinted covers that go over the rears, the ones I had no so long ago but then decided just to tint direct. Well I say decided, I mean broke when transferring to new lights
  2. The oven is perfectly fine when the temperature is reasonable.
  3. I haven't done it with a gas oven, to be honest I wouldn't recommend it but if it had to be done I would do trial and error... starting at 1/2 or 1 obviously lol. I would personally use G3 or plastix. G3 if they are fairly bad, and Plastix if they just need a spruce up. Metal polish isn't ideal.
  4. Whatever you do don't follow the above guide. I've tried my best to get it ammended but it still hasn't happened. The more people that follow that guide the more people that will end up with scrap headlights. Do NOT put the oven above 100 degrees C. 80 is plenty for the most part, the only time I have set it at 100 has been for glass headlights as they can take a little longer otherwise. 10 mins at a true 80-100 degrees C is PLENTY.
  5. Pretty sure the story is real. That type of condition in that extent is fairly rare. If you did happen to get one, you most likely wouldn't REALLY notice. The odd wipe with blood showing is generally all you will get. In saying that, I guess it's the cause that determins the extent. Given how these are generally contracted I would be curious as to how this guy got his.... it certainly isn't because of Thai food
  6. I definitely wouldn't get 1 seat. The chances of finding another for reasonable money with exactly the same styling is going to be slim. Even a car that's sat in the sun longer will have seats that have faded more.
  7. Great writeup, fantastic car mate
  8. Not really sure what you're asking bud. I'm looking for the outer diameter of either of the fins (silver, gold or purple). Cheers
  9. Ahhahhh, that would explain it. The price increase is HUGE. Guess I'll sit tight then.
  10. As above, I've been keeping an eye on the price of large capacity HDDs and they seem to be rocketing. Not THAT long ago I got a 1tb Samsung F1 drive for £55 and a 2TB F2(iirc) for £85. Not long after that I got a (again IIRC) F3 1TB for around £50. I can't find anything even remotely near these prices. I had a quick browse on Ebuyer and I'm finding 2TB external drives for under £100 yet I can't get an OEM 2TB drive for less than £150. I'm now wishing I had bought 10 of them, could have sold them on
  11. http://www.ghostblind.com/Contact-us.html From the above I got..... [email protected] Just send them an email
  12. As above, I've just stripped down/cleaned/painted my HKS Racing BOV and while at it I removed the recirc adapter. I was wondering if there are any replacement fins for this particular BOV or whether it was just meant to be left totally open. If anyone has one handy, measuring the outer diameter of the fin would be great. I understand that the fins have little tabs at the top and bottom so that you put it on the right way, the racing BOV doesn't seem to have these tabs so not sure if it is a total non-starter. Lastly, does anyone with the racing variant have any sort of fin in theirs?
  13. JP had similar issues with his clutch. Not sure if it could be down to the same thing or not but IIRC his was something to do with the release bearing or something in about that area.
  14. I wouldn't recommend selling it like that bud. Reason being it won't solve your financial problems..... unless of course you owe money on the car via financing or other? Getting rid of the car to put some money in the bank to live off of won't really do you much good, the time is always going to come where that runs out and you will have zero to show for it..... no car and still in the same financial difficulty. Totally different if you have debts and you need the car to clear your feet though.
  15. I take it the company selling won't ship to the UK?
  16. Not half, someone is getting a bargain
  17. Got loads, my car has them. With angel eyes though so not an exact representation. They look exactly like pre-facelift plastics with the innards painted.... only with glass rather than plastic. http://www.mkivsuprastar.com/Pics/Angel%20Eyes/Glass/DSCF1905.JPG http://www.mkivsuprastar.com/Pics/Photos/Industrial%20Estate/IMG_0887.JPG
  18. Contacted Keron but he can't help out so wondering if anyone else has this available. It runs up the passenger side of the engine bay. There are 3 plugs, 2 of which go onto the ABS unit and the other connects to the aircon pipe. Keron said there are differences between the facelift and pre-facelift so I need a facelift line. Just looking for a couple of ft of the cable with the plugs on it.
  19. Just paint the UKs to give them the facelift look. That's what most people who want the look but still want the glass do
